Helem Malek is a well-respected figure in his hometown of Solsity. This is not only due to his good looks and charming attitude; he is the right-hand man of the town's esteemed rulers, King Apollo Elias and Queen Adelaide Faye. Helem was born with a gift, a mark on his right hand that serves as a means to defend against the dreaded beings who possess alquemía - sorcery derived from the natural elements of fire, water, earth, air, lightning, and ice -they are known far and wide as the Beasts of Alquemía.
Centuries ago, the Beasts roamed free and were treated as equals until they misused their abilities and caused destruction to citizens. Their criminal act did not go unpunished, for they were sealed inside a cave wall, concealed behind a thundering waterfall.
On a rainy morning in July, a sense of unease clung to Helem. Suddenly, his fears came true as he witnessed a chaotic scene unfold before him in his sleepy town; unruly fires flared up at rapid speeds, monstrous vines shot out from the ground and dragged pleading townspeople to their untimely demise. As Helem ran for his safety with hundreds of others, his mind raced with questions. The answer became clear to him: someone had damaged the cave that held the Beasts, and now they were out for revenge. Helem must fight these beings and save his home, but he knew he had to act quickly before the Beasts caused more destruction.
