17 Progression 5

Gradually over a period of time that felt like years, the huge surge of pain rampaging through my veins began to lessen, becoming slighter, and fading bit by bit until I found my vision returning and found myself staring up at the ceiling of Korin's tower.

The pain was mostly gone. But my body felt like lead. And my throat felt raw and town.

"Well well, look who managed to tough it out huh?" I heard Korin's voice. And a moment later, the fat little white bipedal cat carrying his staff walked into view and stood beside my head looking down at me, "I'm impressed, out of the sixteen people who have taken the Ultra Divine Water, only two have survived and they're basically the same person, how ironic."

I managed to curl my lips into a smirk, "T-told I'd survive." I gloated up at him, stuttering a bit because of my throat.

"Yep, you sure stuck it to me huh kid?" Korin asked, and it would take a real retard to miss the sarcasm in his voice, "Now c'mon, shake it off and get up, I can't have you dirtying up my floor with you body."

Such caring words. I rolled my eyes, but focused and struggled up to a sitting position, and then on wobbly, numb jelly like legs I forced my way to my feet, "..How long was I like that?" I asked, my voice rough and hoarse from screaming.

"Twenty six hours," Korin shrugged, "Not quite the six that it took Goku, but the results speak for themselves I think? Or at least from what I can sense. I suppose the longer you go through it the more growth you'll see I guess."

What?

Curiosity and excitement flared up in me at his words, and ignoring my protesting body I called upon my ki and powered up to my maximum. Korin yelped as my red aura burst into life around me, so powerful it was like a living flame and I could barely see through it for a few moments.

There was something there as I powered up. Something deep within the well of my power. A flash of golden light, tiny, like a small grain of rice in size within my vision before it was gone.

I shook it off and pushed the button on my scouter, scanning myself.

Beep, beep!

My eyes widened a moment later at the power staring back at me. It was unbelievable! And even with my battered body I felt like there was nothing that could stop me, I felt almost invincible!

14,352.

You know that time Piccolo fused with Nail and started screaming about how he felt great, he felt amazing, he could do it, HE COULD DO IT!

..I get it. I totally get it now.

For quite a little while, I was on a hell of a power high. It didn't matter that my body felt like hell and that my throat felt like it was mutilated, because I felt like I could raise my hand and blow away this entire planet if I wanted to.

It was mind boggling to feel like that.

Especially when I shifted into the Ultra Form that I learned from Roshi, increasing my power even further.

21,528.

When I saw that number staring back at me after I entered my enhanced form, I outright burst out laughing. It may have been quite a bit manic too because Korin was giving me very weird looks when I finally came down from my power high after a few minutes of luxuriating in the power exploding out of my body.

I didn't mind it at all. After all, I was firmly stronger than Vegeta now with the Ultra Form. God damn it was great to be me!

"You done?" Korin asked, deadpan. "Cuz not gonna lie kid, I was like a minute away from calling Tien down here to Mafuba you just in case you went all power crazy."

Yeah, as if I'd let him. The second any pops a jar out anywhere near me in a fight I'm fucking out of there. Or gonna Mafuba them first. I know it's possible to use it without it being fatal, and it was one of the techniques I got Roshi to teach me during my month training with him. I'll need to look into that, it'll be a valid way of dealing with guys way stronger than me before I eclipsed them.

Frieza in a bottle anyone?

I rolled my eyes either way at Korin's words and let my body return to normal size, the ki inflating my muscles easing out into the open air and disappearing, "Don't ruin this for me kitty cat, I was just happy with how strong I've gotten," I replied with a wave of my hand, "As I am now, I should be capable of taking on those two other saiyan's when they get here now."

All anybody else from the group knows is that Raditz said Vegeta was ten times more powerful than him. So they'd be expecting someone in the range of fifteen thousand as far as power level goes.

"Mmm, I suppose so, your power is absurd now kid," Korin noted. He was silent for a moment, before asking, "Now, what? You said there was a few things you wanted to get done here right?"

"Yeah, but really it's only one more thing I want to do, and to to do it I'll need to head up to Kami's Lookout." I replied.

"Leaving already huh?" Korin asked with a snort, "Well, when you're up there, make sure to tell that fatass Yajirobe that he better take his training seriously, I can sense him slacking off from down here."

"Will do," I tossed him a two finger salute and floated up into the air, "Cheers Korin." I thanked him in gratitude for giving me the Ultra Divine Water,

"Yeah, yeah, just take care of those saiyan's kid and we'll call it even." Korin waved me off.

Oh, I plan to.

And then I floated my way out of the tower and began flying up above the golden roof of the towering construction, following the massively extended length of the Power Pole up towards the lookout.

I touched down on the lookout a few minutes later. To my surprise, there as only one person out on the lookout itself and I could only sense two others within the large white home of Kami and Popo. The two I could sense being Kami and Popo themselves.

And the one outside, was Yamcha. He was sitting cross legged on the white tiled flooring, slumped over with a heavy frown on his face.

"Oh, Kakarot," Yamcha greeted me with a small wave when I touched down, "That was some incredible power you let out just a bit ago, like really insane I almost crapped myself, like seriously." he said, but despite his words, there was still a frown on his face.

"Yeah, I've been training my ass off this past month and used the Ultra Divine Water just there, it gave me a massive boost in strength, though Korin wasn't kidding about the effects of it, sometimes with all that pain, I actually wished I had died," I replied with a shrug. No joke, the pain was excruciating, the worst pain I've felt ever and I doubt much will ever compare to it again, "What's up with you?" I asked.

Yamcha sighed, slumping down further, "...Bulma called last night," he revealed, "..She broke up with me."

I hid a wince at the depressed look on his face. But, I really had little sympathy to give. I wasn't one to talk, but he was a shitty boyfriend. And he played the field a lot even while in a relationship, if he wanted to do that he should have tried to make an extended relationship work so he could try for a harem, at least if Bulma agreed on the slim slim chance, he could try and make it work if he was willing to put in the work, but from what Bulma said it wasn't just the playing the field that was fucking up that relationship, but the fact that he barely paid her any attention.

Not gonna lie though, I'm quite happy with this development.

"Ah...sorry to hear?" I tried, walking over and patting him on the shoulder. I'm not really, and I may have played a small part in their break up, but it was gonna happen eventually. And it was still the bro thing to do at least, giving him my condolences, even if he isn't really my friend and more Goku's than mine since I've barely had a single conversation with the guy.

"Thanks," Yamcha accepted it easily enough before sighing again, "Ultra Divine Water huh? Maybe if I took that and got strong enough, she'd take me back?"

..What kind of logic is that?

Well actually, I guess since Bulma is into the bad boy type it could get a bit of interest from her, risking his life like that for a power boost. Maybe? Honestly, I'm not sure. "I mean you can try I guess?" I shrugged, "Keep in mind that if you can't endure it you're gonna die."

Yamcha scratched at his long black shaggy hair in frustration, "I gotta do somethin' man, my girl has dropped me and I'm falling behind Tien and Krillin up here, even Yajirobe and Chiaotzu are catching up to me."

"Have at it if you want mate," I shrugged, either way it was up to him. "Speaking of, where are they? I can't sense them at all."

"Oh, they're in the Pendulum Room sparring against those two saiyan's from the past that keep cleaning our clocks," Yamcha replied, "Low class saiyans my ass, just one of them stomps all five of us constantly, no way people that strong can be considered low class."

I was tempted to point out that from what I remember of the information provided to me by the gestation pod, that any saiyan with under two thousand battle power was considered low class, three thousand was mid class and only hitting four thousand let them get to high class.

I was also very tempted to tell him that the average saiyan child by the time they were ten would be able to clean his clock with ease.

287.

His power wasn't exactly that impressive from what my scouter is telling me right now, even after a month of training up here.

"Yeah, you know what? I'll do it!" Yamcha jumped to his feet and pumped his fist into the air, "I'll take the Ultra Divine Water and then I'll get super strong and come back up here and smack those two saiyans around! Then Bulma will have to take me back when she see's how awesome I am!"

And before I could say anything to him, he powered up, a billowing white aura surrounding his body and he shot into the air and flew downwards, "Thanks Kakarot!" he shouted back to me.

...What the hell?

I stared after him, bemused for a few months before shaking my head, "Well whatever, none of my business." I turned on my heel and made my way towards where I could sense Mister Popo and Kami.

It's time to get my raging monkey under control.
