Alpha Luke

LUKE's POV

My Beta was tired as training started earlier than expected. Everyone was really tired by this point but we needed to be prepared. A fight is coming and we must be ready for it. I started to jog as I had to look back. Three pack members collapsed. I sighed out as I slowly stopped. I sat down as everyone waited for a command. But they were all panting strongly. I sighed out but I looked at the sky as the rising sun was shining the forest. Brining life to it's creatures.

I knew they were all cheering internally. My ears started twitching. The gentle sound of twigs snapping at a distance distracted me from them. So I looked behind me. Deeper into the forest. I noticed a deer with it's baby running away. I smelled the air as the scent of machine oil hits my senses. It made me sneeze. I got them to close to the construction site. I ushered everyone as we were too close to the humans. I stayed behind to make sure they didn't get a sneak attack. But the humans are also getting to close to our property lines. They even breach of contract. They were about to stop construction so I could pay double for that other piece of forest. I'll have to comunicate with the lawyer and notify about the breach of contract.

They must have already cut down hang the trees by now. That's just great. I clenched my jaw and just kept behind my pack. They looked afraid and worried. Some humans enjoy hunting animals. Wolves included. We still have our own hunters. They hunt our kind many times. That's why the Moon Goddess gave each Alpha bloodline a Lycan form. Or what humans call Anthro. I am not of Alpha Bloodline. So I don't have a Lycan form. The Alpha before me had adopted me because his Luna couldn't give birth to a child. For them it was really sad but when. they adopted me. I was basically their golden child.

I was almost spoiled by the Luna but now I am strong and responsible. I was able to make a system in our pack. I bought four lands to have a bigger pack. The Pack House is only used when other Alpha's from different parts of the world come to visit. It is customary for other Alpha's to visit each other once a year. Usually a reunion world wide happens when the Alpha King needs us to notify any news about hunters or if the Moon Goddess has given him a message. The King is the only one of our kind who is able to actually comunicate with our Goddess. If there are no reunion in that time of year the King would do a ball for us just to relax and just have fun. That's why we have a whole island so Alpha's with their whole pack can go there and just enjoy relaxation.

I stopped moving as something in me feels heavy. I usually don't attend those parties. I have my reasons. I looked up as I noticed one she wolf waiting on me. It was Alexa. She looks really worried about me. I jogged to her and just nudged her to keep moving. She didn't move as her eyes stayed fixated to something. I looked back and search for whatever she was looking at. It took me a bit until I noticed a wounded wolf pup. I nudged her harder and she snaps out of her trance.

At first she didn't want to obey but she close her eyes and ran off. I heard steps and I knew exactly what's happening. It must be an escaped pup. A hunter is near by. I ran towards the pup. It was limping. Poor little one. I heard something click and I stopped. Sliding on my ass. Damn that burned. The sound of a bang echoes around the forest. I looked to the side to the laughing human. Luckily at the distance that we have he doesn't notice my true size. The bullet missed. I don't know if he aimed at me or at the pup. His a hunter. His having fun hunting. This are the type of humans I hate.

I heard a bunch of foot steps rushing towards this direction. More humans are coming. I quickly rushed forward using as much speed as possible. Without the human thinking am some kind of demon. I jumped and when landed by the pup. It cried out in fear. The man yells in anger and shoots again. Misses. Man has bad aim. Well what can you expect from a hand gun and from his distance. I grabbed the whining pup by it's scruff and ran deeper into the forest. Taking twist and turns. I heard humans yelling. But it was going lower and lower as the farther away I get. I felt like murdering right now but I stayed calm. I will be calling the police this property is no trespassing and is a no hunting grounds. There may be cameras in that area.

'Austin check cameras need proof of trespassing and hunting for when I call the police...' I mind linked Austin.

His in charge of the security system for this type of problems. So I'll be there in a bit. Alexa must be pacing back and forth right now. I noticed the clearing to the pack ground. I jumped passing the bushes and I am lucky that I didn't land into anything. I huffed a bit as I looked to the side. At a distance I could see Alexa panicking. Everyone is waiting on me. But luckily knowing Alexa she heard me huffing so she looks to my direction and her eyes brighten. She rushes towards me as I just stayed there. I felt the young one move a little so it's waking back up. Alexa had grabbed the pup and I noticed the wound by it's paw. Seems like this one got abused. There may be many things that led up to it. But the mayor questions are: Are there other pups? Where is it's mother?

Alexa is already acting likes mother. Protecting it as she rushes towards the Pack Doctor. Michael brings me a pair of shorts as everyone goes away. My Beta already having my phone in hand as I transform back to human. They gave their back to me as I am completely naked. When I am fully human I got the shorts on and just sighed out. I got handed the phone and I dialed the 911 number. I reported the issue gave my location and everything. My Beta started to announce of human coming and everyone started to go into their places. I know Alexa will check if the pup is actual wolf or another werewolf. Maybe a rare case of a werewolf pup transforming early and being that it's super young they don't understand it. So it stayed in wolf form. No matter what we'll protect the pup.

After half an hour and everyone basically hiding in their homes just for in case. Austin had the CD ready with a laptop just for them to take the evidence. An officer had entered the pack grounds. Luckily the houses for every pack member is divided so his vehicle can pass through. Straight to the seven story building behind me. This building is known as the pack house. It has over twenty bedrooms. The seventh floor is mine only. More than half the rooms in the pack house have a bathroom just for in case. But being that the seventh floor is for the Alpha and Luna it has its upgrades. There's even an elevator. Made sure the building is spacious enough. We built an underground bunker just for in case of emergency. Plus a cellar for when Alpha's with an uncontrolled Lycan form come visit and go wild on a full moon we placed them there so they don't harm anyone as well as they don't harm themselves.

The Police officer parked it's vehicle in front of the pack house. The companion got off first as he made sure he had everything in hands. The driver got off and walked towards us. The way he walks makes him look power hungry. But he has a job to do. I knew he felt small when he glanced around. I make more than any Transport company. We have a jewelry company for weddings and special occasions. Lastly we got an office that controls food industry insurance. Speaking of the Insurance company for Food Industry it's time for their anual check up. Even a system update. Veronica must have chose an amazing system for them so they don't have much problems. Plus we got our own little farm for fruits and vegetables at the left side of the pack grounds. I approved it over two years ago. Being that a few pack members love gardening and petitioned for a garden for fruits and vegetables.

They even have a personal house for sowing and cooking on the weekends. Pack Children are obligated so they learn how to fend for themselves if they ever want to stay in the Pack but move to the human lands. Every pack member works in the human land to maintain experience and earn their own income. Only one works here and it's a driver for the children. He takes them to school in the human lands. They have their own class here but it's private as it teaches them about the laws the Goddess has given us. Our transformation. The rare ones. The mythical ones. Even the history of the goddess herself. Mates and it's bond. Until the age of 18. Some finish early because they stay extra hours asking questions and reading.

The officer coughs a bit "So tell us what happened completely..."

This man has such problems so I spoke "We have caught a man in our camera system hunting illegally... And if we find out that the pup is from our protected endangered wolf pack... So stolen and almost killing an endangered species plus trespassing"

"So you caught a man hunting an animal in your land... Is that it?" He asked annoyed he isn't even listening to me
