So what happens when one day you make a mistake, have to tutor a crown prince in an alternate universe, your normal days officially come to an end. It's fine if one transmigrates, no problem, right? I'm a highschool student, who's life isn't that interesting to begin with, a little adventure wouldn't hurt. But who would have thought that this crown prince was so generous and allowed me to stay in my real world during the day, and tutor him during the night?
Zhao Xing is a high school third year student, she was just a bit above average, A young girl who loved to read manhuas, and procrastinate. Her dream in life is to marry a rich man and be lazy all day long forever. Such a nice dream, in that case she could do whatever she wanted, whenever she wanted.
She lived in a flat with her mother and her little brother.
"Xing Xing, are you done with your homework?" Her mother shouted from the living room.
"Almost!" She shouted back.
"Hurry up and go to bed when you're done!"
Of course, homework could go to hell. Right there and then in her room, she busied herself reading, with full concentration. Her deskmate borrowed her a new manhua he got, and she was to return it tomorrow.
Her little devil brother poked his head in, making Zhao Xing alert as she hid her manhua, and opened her books.
"You're not even doing-"
"You get out!"
The little devil ran off. She estimated he wouldn't tell on her.
Afterwards when she finally closed the book, It was already 10:30.
She went to the kitchen to get some water, while trying to evade her mother's ever scrutinizing gaze. On her way back she passed through the laundry room, and heard a rustling noise, like rats running around.
Her expression was blank, she hated rats and such intruders should die. Entered the room planning to turn on the lights but was surprised by the view before her.
Wasn't this the laundry room, how did she suddenly appear here?
She looked back, instinctively towards the door she just entered, but it was gone.
??
What the hell?
A big hall was before her, it was darkly lit with candles, it resembled something straight out of historical fiction stories she used to read.
An ancestry hall? Zhao Xing asked herself, puzzled, but what confused her most wasn't the hall. But the tall man that stood there staring right back at her.
Looking at this man she was even more speechless. The man stared at her from head to toe, as if she was some strange creature.
This handsome brother, where did he come from? His clothes, so ancient style!
She was so carried away she didn't notice the man next to him that had drawn out his sword.
The man raised his hand signaling for the man beside him to put away his weapon.
"Wangye..(1: Meaning Prince)" The man said softly.
Only then did she realize there was a third person in the hall.
Feeling a bad premonition, she blurted out with an awkward smile. "Where is this place?"
The one addressed as 'Wangye' stepped forward, not minding the worried man beside him.
"You don't know?" the prince asked calmly as if interrogating a criminal.
Zhao Xing felt a bit scared, but she kept her cool and answered, "How would I know...I just, I thought there was a rat, I entered the laundry room but ended up here"
The Prince seemed a bit confused.
"Wangye, it isn't safe, she's speaking weirdly.."
He was again silenced by the prince. Zhao Xing raised a brow, she was sure what she said even a fool could understand, what was weird about it?
The only weird thing was her appearing into this strange place in the middle of the night.
"Where did you say you came from?" The prince asked again.
"My house? In city Q, China of course." She replied dumbly. thinking whether or not to specify her address.
Where exactly was she, how did she appear there? Who were these people?
Was it wrong to enter the laundry room that night?
While she stood there contemplating her life, it suddenly dawned on her. Was it like cosplaying? It was possible, but she still couldn't find a valid explanation for her appearance there. She was sure she wasn't dreaming.
I can't be dreaming, right?
I really just finished that book, then went to get a glass of water, then to the laundry room.. It doesn't make sense!
Hearing her answer, the prince countenance changed. He seemed more relaxed, happy, if we must elaborate.
'Master was right!' The prince said to himself with a slight smile.
"Xiao Chen, This is the person Master talked about."
The said Xiao Chen's expression also changed to that of a surprised one.
"Really, Wangye?"
The Prince nodded.
Zhao Xing: ??
Did she miss a plot or something. What kind of progression was this?
"Master? What master?" Was this really a dream?
"Grand tutor, sorry for acting out of line just now. I didn't know you would be making your appearance today." The prince then saluted, making her feel a bit uncomfortable.
Zhao Xing blinked twice. She really wanted to know which one of them was retarded, herself who dreamed such a crazy dream or the 'Wangye' standing before this slightly above average lazy bum here and calling her 'grand tutor'.
"Sorry there must have been a mistake somewhere." she replied.
"No mistakes at all, Master indeed said you would appear in the Zhao's ancestral hall, that we should be watchful."
Xiao Chen echoed his master's words; "Yes grand tutor, it wasn't easy sneaking here for 7 days just to get a trace of grand tutor."
Zhao Xing was having a headache. This grand tutor they spoke of must be really formidable to make a prince sneak into someone's ancestry hall for a week! But as much as she would love to be a big shot, the so called grand tutor wasn't her.
"Sorry I'm really not this person you're talking about."
While saying this she started to think that she didn't like this dream and wanted to wake up.
Dream then dream, why dream of such a weird thing. Did she return to ancient china or what?
Where was the door? She was leaving.
She tried pinching herself but to no avail, all she got in return was the sourness and redness of her wrist.
Meanwhile the pair of master and servant watched speechlessly as the 'grand tutor' harmed herself in various ways. From pinching, to pulling her hair, to slapping herself..
The prince figured the grand tutor might not want to stay but return to where she came from.
"Grand tutor, I hope you would listen to me."
Zhao Xing was already irritated that she couldn't wake up and angrily spat out, "are you crazy? Look at me, do I look like a grand tutor? Go find the master that told you this, tell him he's a crook!"
To Zhao Xing this was just a dream and she didn't need to be responsible for her words, so she didn't think much when she said what she did.
The prince was speechless and began to rethink the whole thing. Though the Master had not mentioned much about how this grand tutor would be, he did say that though they wouldn't be skilled in martial arts they would be wise and knowledgeable, with the ability to help him achieve his goals. He didn't think that the grand tutor would be such a vulgar youth.
But because he wasn't sure he thought it would be best to inquire once again from his Master, only, because the old man didn't like to stay put, he was hard to find. But for the time being he could only take this strange woman with him and let people keep watch over this ancestral hall in case the real grand tutor appeared.
He was a decisive man, and so with that thought he instructed "Xiao Chen, take her"
"Ah?"
