Making Noble Friends

"Tang…Tang Rongyi what are you talking about?"

"I'm just analyzing what you said for you." Tang Rongyi shrugged. "If you know what's best for you, then you'll either stop talking or go learn how to speak, but I know, what you should say and what you shouldn't, no one should teach you that."

With that she turned to Zhao Xing. "Xing Xing, come let's go over there."

She said so and took a hold of her hand affectionately, if one didn't know they would think they were really besties.

Zhao Xing felt weird. How come things escalated just like that?

The two left the group of girls, as well as Xiang Meilian who stood there fuming in anger.

As they walked away, the expression on Tang Rongyi's face changed, she turned to her and whispered, "Don't mind them, they talk too much nonsense. But don't worry, my brother has asked for me to look after you, in the future no one would dare bully you."

Zhao Xing's eyes widened, so it was Zhang Zhengyang's idea?

"Sister Tang Rongyi is so close to the Crown Prince?" Zhao Xing could finally ask the question that has been bugging her.

Tang Rongyi turned to her and laughed, "Little girl, you don't know? The Crown Prince and I are cousins."

"Ah?" He even had cousins?

Tang Rongyi laughed once more when she saw Zhao Xing silly expression. "You just came to the capital, there's still a lot you might not know, but don't worry, since I said I was your friend, I'll be helping you get used to this place. We could even go out together sometime."

When Zhao Xing heard this, she was instantly elated. She finally found someone she could have fun with!

She nodded enthusiastically, but then she thought about the Crown Prince and how he was so used the word 'No', "Sister Tang Rongyi, The Crown Prince…"

She seemed to have gotten what Zhao Xing wanted to say and immediately answered, "You must not know my brother, he likes restraining people, but don't worry, two girls wanting to go and have fun, is there anything wrong with that?"

Zhao Xing nodded. There surely wasn't anything wrong.

"Sister Yi…"

A small voice could be heard, the two walking together suddenly stopped talking and turned to the person who had walked up to them.

"Sister Yi…" She greeted, after she had caught their attention.

Zhao Xing stared at her, this girl was far more beautiful than her friend Xue Shan Shan, she was cuter than her maids back at the Crown Prince's manor. She stared at her for a while, and felt satisfied in her heart to have seen such a beauty in this life.

"Leng Yue…" Tang Rongyi was surprised to see her.

"Sister Yi, this one just arrived, and immediately started searching for you…" It was apparent that she was shy, as she bowed her head or avoided eye contact when she spoke.

She looked so soft and innocent. Zhao Xing inwardly sighed, if this beauty appeared in their world, people would worship her as their goddess.

Tang Rongyi smiled at her, "I only just returned, I didn't have time to come see you, especially after the old man gave me the scolding of my life."

Leng Yue smiled back, she seemed very happy for some reason. She then turned to her.

"Sister Yi, this is…?"

"Ah, Zhao Xing, she's the Crown Prince's benefactor."

"Ahh…"Leng Yue exclaimed in surprise.

Zhao Xing also greeted her. "I'm not any benefactor, I was just trying to help…" She said with a smile.

Tang Rongyi turned to her, "Xing Xing, this is Xiao Yue, we've known each other since childhood… in other words our family have been in good terms for generations."

Zhao Xing nodded. "So that's how it is."

Leng Yue seemed hesitant, but in the end she opened her mouth to speak, "Miss Zhao Xing, I heard you lived in a small village in the mountains, how is it like over there?"

Zhao Xing looked at her confusedly, then she was suddenly on high alert.

"Xing Xing ah, don't mind her, she has always wished to go on adventures, but her father strictly prohibits her from doing so. She would be travelling around with me if not for this." Tang Rongyi explained.

Zhao Xing nodded in realization.

Leng Yue pursed her lips, "Actually, it's because of my frail body that my father disapproves of me travelling around…"

Tang Rongyi saw Leng Yue's countenance was down and nudged her playfully, "Aiya, how many times have I told you? No parent would want their daughter to go about playing, look at me, whenever I return home, my father is complaining all the time, my mother talks about how a disgrace I am, thankfully when I returned my uncle was there to defend me, if not, I don't know what I'd do to escape punishment this time."

Leng Yue seemed still unconvinced.

"The mountains are really beautiful, though life isn't always easy, people are simple and work hard. I'm sure one day you'll have the opportunity to see it." Zhao Xing said with a comforting smile.

Leng Yue saw this smile and nodded, suddenly feeling hopeful.

Tang Rongyi rolled her eyes. "Look at how dreamy your eyes are! Let's not talk about it anymore."
