The Master bullied the Grand Tutor

"Eh..?" She left in a fit of anger, Xiao Chen had been there at the front of the study and watched her leave surprised, he had heard arguing from the study just now, though he didn't hear exactly what they were talking about he had the feeling that for Zhao Xing to leave in such a way, it must be because his Master had said something that hurt her feelings. He was now wondering whether he should go in to see his Master or not.

"Grand Tutor..." When Zhao Xing returned to her courtyard, her eyes were red, with tears that refused to fall. Lan'er wanted to ask what the matter was, but was dissuaded by Nuo Nuo. They were already aware of the Crown Prince's arrival, and their mistress who had been in the study must have met with him, if she was like this, then it must be that they had had an argument.

Zhao Xing ignored them and locked herself in her room.

Lan'er was puzzled when Nuo Nuo explained it to her. "Sis, Grand Tutor is normally very cheerful, she doesn't get mad no matter what we do, what did the Master do for her..." to be like this? But she didn't continue as Nuo Nuo shook her head. "Lan'er it's between the two of them we don't have a say in it." She didn't say the most important thing; their real master was the Crown Prince, so no matter how well Zhao Xing treated them they should forever be faithful to only one master and that was the Crown Prince. If they got themselves too involved in their matters they might become disloyal, and chose to side with the Grand Tutor instead.

On her way to her courtyard, Zhao Xing had passed by servants as well as guards, as they greeted her, they all saw her sad appearance, and could only come to the conclusion that their Master had something to do with it.

"That was the Grand Tutor, right?"

"What happened? Why was she like that?"

"She was from the study, the Master is back, do you think...?"

"How can that be? Yesterday it was the Master himself that carried her back, why would they fight all of a sudden?"

"What do you know? Relationships are as such."

It was unknown who started the rumor but soon the whole manor began to gossip about how the Master had bullied the Grand Tutor.

General Yang's Manor.

"Madam, the general shouldn't act like this…you've been waiting for him for almost a year, now that he's back he wouldn't even come to see you always in his study or out training."

"Rou Rou, stop it." The general's wife sat by the window embroidering. Her hands skillfully held the needle as she embroidered flowers onto the cloth. "What do you think?" She said as she raised it and showed her servant, who pouted. "Madam…I'm talking about the General, why are you paying attention to these things?"

Madam Jing rolled her eyes. "They're so many things in this world to worry about, why would I worry about someone who doesn't care for me? Am I not just a replacement for my sister? In his eyes I'm not the real bride."

Rou Rou couldn't understand it, even if the person he loved wasn't her mistress, he should've forgotten about her mistress' sister, it has been 2 years already! "Can't he just forget about her...?" Rou Rou knew what she said wasn't right so she didn't continue speaking instead bowed her head and waited for a scolding.

Madam Jing sighed and looked out the window. If she had the power she wouldn't have married into the general's mansion. Especially when she knew this mansion wasn't waiting for her as the bride. "Well, I don't know, I've never been in love before. They said General Yang was really in love with my sister, it's a pity she died…"

Their relationship was like that of strangers, they hardly met, and when they did, they would only exchange a few words of greetings.

But even if her husband didn't really care about her existence, it didn't make her slack off with her duties as the wife. In the mornings she'd go and greet her mother-in-law, who was very satisfied with her daughter in-law, and they would talk and even have meals together. She treated the servants appropriately and made sure everything was in order. She busied herself every day, when did she have time to think about that man? Besides whenever her husband's mother talked about having kids, she always took her side, she was righteous she knew whose fault it was. So we could say that she was living a relaxed life.

Although her servant didn't think so, Madam Jing didn't care, it wasn't like she had fallen in love with the General, that she'd be chasing after him left and right. All she wished for was peace.

Well everyone wished for a life without worries especially the current Zhao Xing, she was ruthlessly tossed into a world she knew nothing of and giving a title she did not deserve, now that she finally got some use, a certain person was ungrateful and wanted to toss their life away. Not only did she have to worry about this person, she also worried for her pitiful self, now that she had this ability, she would have to see things she didn't want to see, whether it was a good time to see it or not, it would just appear, it wasn't like she even knew how to control it. It'd be good for her if she could.

She felt bad, because of the memories she also felt scared. She had cried and cried and fell asleep. She didn't have lunch and she had her door locked. Her maids didn't know how to persuade her to eat. And stood at the entrance of her room. It was already late evening, but she had refused them each time, saying she'd eat later

"Sis, you go." Lan'er said nudging Nuo Nuo.

"…Do I have to?"

By this time everyone knew about the 'bullying' incident and thought Zhao Xing's tears were for the Crown Prince. The news had even reached the maids ears, and so they were at loss of what to do, or how to console her. If they knew that her tears had not been for the Crown Prince but because she was reminded of her lost loved one what would they do?

But the situation was already this complicated. How would Zhao Xing explain if she found out?

"Who's there?" A hoarse voice came from the room, interrupted the two's discussion.

They looked at each other guiltily. "Grand Master…we have heated the food…" Nuo Nuo said.

"I'm not hungry I won't eat, don't bother." She said with a nasal tone.

Both Nuo Nuo and Lan'er didn't know what to do. They didn't know if it was ok to persuade her more. In the end they had no choice but to report to the 'culprit' that the Grand Tutor didn't want to eat.

Word got to Zhang Zhengyang, who was busy with work. He looked at the servant that was sent to report to him. He held his head with one hand, as if contemplating. Then looked at Xiao Chen who looked at him as if he had done something bad.

"You may take your leave." He said to the servant, who later withdrew.

Zhang Zhengyang turned to Xiao Chen once again, "What's with that look?"

Xiao Chen was his master's confidant, so he took it upon himself to speak on behalf of the servants in the house as well as the guards that have in one way or another, taking a liking to the little jumpy cheerful girl. "Master, Grand Tutor might be a little naughty but she's still a good person with a good heart, no matter what it might be, it could still be worked it out like Master used to do…"

Zhang Zhengyang looked at him with a puzzled expression. What was going on beneath that he wasn't aware of?

He raised a brow, "What do you think?"

Xiao Chen was even more puzzled. "Master didn't you and Zhao Xing argue, now she's like this…Master shouldn't you console her…?" His voice became thinner and thinner towards the end. What did he say wrong? Yesterday evening they were being lovey-dovey now they're arguing he just wanted to help with the little knowledge he had. They always said when the woman was upset the man should coax her? It's what his buddies told him, wasn't that reliable?

It seems like there was a huge misunderstanding in the whole mansion. Did people think that he and Zhao Xing were in that kind of relationship? Zhang Zhengyang didn't bother explaining. He got up and headed to Zhao Xing's courtyard on his own.

"Master" The two maids greeted him.

"Where is she?" He asked.

"Reporting to master, she's in the room, she hasn't come out since she came back."

Zhang Zhengyang went and knocked at her door. "Grand Tutor?"

But there was no response. He called out to her multiple times but there was still no response, at all.

'Is she that mad?'

But he felt something was wrong, and turned to the maids. They understood and got ready to break the door open.

But when they did, there was no one there.

Zhang Zhengyang: "…"
