It's ok... a lot of weird things happen, and anytime someone points it out someone else says "ITS A FANTASY." I mean sure it is, but if you going to have something different from the standard explain it. For example, there is an Acadamy for swordsmen, and the entrance exams are at 5? The only time I remember from history where training started, so young was for Samurai, and even then they didn't really start until 5-7. You may say he starts at 5, so what do you mean. No, he started at 3 the exams are just at 5. And if you fail your out from what I can tell that just makes no sense no one shows there potential at 5. The other big thing is he is a 1000-year-old dragon and acts like a 4-year-old like his human age, which doesn't make sense to me. While other 4-year-olds act like 18+ year-olds. He got beat up by a 4-year-old who had knight training? What he is 4 how does he have knight training. Anyway, I'm bashing at this point I'm no professional just what I noticed, so I'd say it's not a bad read just weird read you have to ignore things to really like it.

Ty, hard pass for this novel. Hate when logic is thrown out of the window just cuz its fantasy.

i think the military does it in their Bootcamp, it's not about having the best of conditions to show your skills at the fullest, it's about how much you can do in an unfavorable environment/conditions. i also know for a fact that Shaolin monks at least for the kids, they have to wake up early and do an insane amount of chores

lol you are questioning age, when there are still people who train child soldiers from that age group in present day.

He’s saying that it’s incredibly harsh for 5 year olds and that they aren’t acting like five year olds, not that people can’t start training at that age.

I bet you can name 10 other novels or mangas or manhuas or manhwas that force people to start a form of training at 5 or younger. In fact I know 2 alone that started younger than that, and one that started in the womb. Personal preference is cool but don't down talk the ENTIRE novel over personal preference >_>

Totally agree with you. Also, I find it really weird that he fights while crawling like a dragon. Like come on, it's not that hard to fight while standing, you have a perfect human body simply made for ease of walking! (unless the author revealed that the people in this world does things much better while crawling due to certain reasons, except for the fact that he 'used to be' a dragon) It'll be even faster than crawling and fighting. But this book completely reverses the logic. I have only read a couple of chapters but it'll be hard for me to continue this.

From what I've read, those MC who trained since they were in the womb or at the age of 2 were pretty much prodigy, they have systems that helped them in their training. Even if they don't have one, they have new knowledge from another world that can be incorporated in the mana or physical training in the world they were currently in. They also think for things themselves too, for concepts of mana training, new combined martial arts etc. since they have no one to learn from. But it'll be hard for the MC in this book since he only acquired the system at a later age than the MCs you were talking. He also didn't have new knowledge for both magic and swordsmanship (in his early years). Even in other books, the academy usually starts at 10-12 years old (that is, with a prodigy mc who can use mana since birth or swordsmanship since they were able to walk). So it's not really wrong to say the standards are really high in this novel.

So I should leave a review since I had great hope for this novel, but was disappointed. I will list the problems: 1. Grammar ...simply, it sucks. I can understand that English is not the author's first language, but there are like 10 grammar mistakes each chapter. Please, use a proofreader it's really distracting from the story. There, they're and their are different. Please learn it. 2. Writing style The limites of the language hits hard in the style department. Since the author doesn't master the language, phrases are always linear and simple, concepts are expressed one at a time etc... This impacts the story since it seems the actors themselves are basic. 3. Plot holes, world building, etc I understand you don't want infodumps, and you also don't want to spoiler the story but... Seriously, try to give a reason for things happening, and not at chapter 1000 since people will not arrive there. Sen is acting like a true 5 yo even being a 1000 yo dragon. Is there a good reason? Maybe. Without explaining, or even an hypotesis, this is simply a plot hole. Whatever is inside the mind of the author doesn't count, only what is written. And don't go "but normal books can explain after 200 pages, why can't I?" Normal books are supposed to be perfect in language use, have been read and revisited multiple time by the author and the editor team, so the reader is somewhat assured that the story is somewhat decent. On webnovel the author publishes BEFORE finishing the story and often before checking for errors. Maybe in chapter 300 the author is like "oooops for plot reason I need this in chapter 30... Too bad it's already published. Let's hope nobody notices" while in a normal book you would go and modify chapter 30 to be coherent. Now, I have gone for a bit of a rant here. TL;DR: the story is simple but ha potential... Wasted because of poor English and oversimplification
