On the night of Halloween 1981, Voldemort casts the killing curse on Harry Potter. However, he could never have predicted the result of his actions. Now he finds himself trapped in the body of the boy he wanted to kill.

Chapter 1
Downfall
31 October 1981
"This better be the right house Wormtail," The man in dark robes said to his ugly companion.
"O-of course m-my lord. Is right over there" The little man took a piece of paper and gave it to his master to read.
In the paper, the words "Godric's Hollow" followed by an address could be read.
As soon as the man in dark robes read them a new house appeared in between two other similar houses. It seemed cozy and warm, the lights were on and voices could be heard from inside.
The lord smiled "Good, let's get this over with. Go on and knock on the door".
The little man did as told and a few moments later James Potter opened the door.
"Wormtail ?, what are you doing here at this hou-" at that moment he noticed that his old friend was not the only person at his door, and when he saw who the other individual was his face turned pale.
He quickly reached for his wand, but before he had the chance a strong force pushed him backward until he hit a small piece of furniture. The decorations on top fell down causing a lot of noise.
The worried voice of a woman then could be heard "James?, is everything alright ?, ".
"Lily ! it's him, Voldemort is here. RUN!" James managed to yell while taking his wand and aiming a spell at Voldemort. "Stupefy!".
A blue light came from his wand.
To this Voldemort just conjured a small shield to take it. A smile was drawn on his face.
"Seriously Potter?, a stunner? i just came here to kill you and your family…sigh, I see that Dumbledore has been a bad influence on you."
"Shut up! He is the greatest wizard that ever lived. He is ten times the wizard you are". He then looked for a second at his old friend. "And you! traitorous rat. How could you?. "
The little man looked away in shame.
"You have other things to worry about, I'm afraid".
He made a cutting motion with his wand and the cutting charm came forth and hit the shield that James managed to conjure in a hurry. But a second cutting curse hit his leg forcing him to the ground.
Then Voldemort made a third cutting motion, this one seemed stronger somehow. A bright red light came from his wand and hit James' wand hand. The spell went through completely severing the limb and blood started to pour.
"AHHHH" James screamed and covered his right arm. He then looked towards Voldemort wanting to throw some last word but the last thing he saw was the green light of the killing curse.
With the deed done he did not spare another glance to the body of James Potter and instead looked towards the stairs that his wife went while carrying the reason for his visit.
He found his target at the end of the corridor in the last room. A bombarda took care of the door while a female scream could be heard.
After crossing the door he could finally see the image of Lily Potter, wand in hand, next to a baby crib.
"P-please at least spare the child. He has done nothing to you" He pleaded.
"I'm afraid I cannot do that, however, I will give you a chance. Give me the boy and YOU will live" He counters. Already knowing what his answer was going to be. But he promised to try.
"You want Harry?, why ?He is just a baby. But if you think I will abandon my child…YOU know nothing about mothers" She pointed her wand at him and fired a very strong reducto aimed at his face.
He moved aside with speed that didn't seem human. Then he looked at the woman with an unreadable expression, but it almost looked like respect.
With a quick move of his wand a dark red , almost black light came from his wand and hit the intended target.
She fell to the ground like a puppet with its strings cut.
"No, I suppose I do not know much about that" He said in a solemn way.
He made his way to the crib and saw a boy there. Sleeping peacefully regardless of the circumstances. 'Sleeping spell probably' He thought for a moment. The last mercy from a mother.
"You have given me a lot of headaches young man…well…it's over now. I win"
He pointed his wand towards the boy and…
"Avada Kedavra". Green light engulfed the room and he knew no more.
