Chapter 1Life Without A Class

"The end is coming! The zombies, the giants, the wolves, and even those giant worms are going to kill us all!"

I heard these familiar screams from far while walking slowly towards that crazy man's direction.

The streets were in a messy state, filled with garbage and leftovers from the big party last night. The city, which I lived in, celebrated the ninety-ninth anniversary of the Great Day!

In fact it wasn't a great day, but it was the start of the apocalypse that befell over our lands.

My name is Hye. According to my father, my name held the meaning of a bright and intelligent man.

I was indeed smart, but I was no way living a bright life. My life was defined even before I came to this world.

Ah, forgot to say that Earth wasn't the same Earth ninety-nine years ago. When the apocalypse hit Earth, it started by merging all continents, breaking all boundaries and adding strange lands to us.

And since that day, more lands were being added to our great Nala, the new Earth we live currently in. With the start of the apocalypse, strange races began to appear like zombies, wolves, goblins, monsters, and even evolved insects and worms.

War was inevitable between us and them. In fact each race began a series of brutal and long wars against other races to dominate Nala, including us, the humans. The bad news came in that our weapons couldn't do any damage against these races.

They all used various sorts of magic. And that wasn't exclusive to them alone.

Humans started to delve on the path of magic since the dawn of the apocalypse. According to the old stories written in our records of that time, we had many quests provided by the mighty judges, plus a system. Whoever achieved anything worthy would get a class of his own and power beyond belief.

But many failed to achieve such a thing. I, my father, and my entire family came from a grandfather and a grandmother who both failed their quests.

People like us were called classless people, or the trash in the new world we were living in.

On top of the society, people with high classes ruled the human race. We now live in three big kingdoms, each covering a vast land that exceeded the size of the old Earth itself.

But this was nothing compared to other races. In fact the war between humans and other races lasted in its fiercest early time up to ten years. During that time, most of the humans were killed and only three kingdoms stood tall till this day.

In other words… We lost that war! The three kingdoms provided a much safer environment to live in. But that wasn't according to what that crazy man was saying.

"The end is coming! Prepare for it! The dark day is coming! We will be all doomed!"

"That man…" I couldn't help but shake off my head and examined the message coming from my system.

[Your daily quest is here! Help the old foreteller in his daily needs and you'll get ten coins]

"Tsk, another boring day," I muttered while clicking to see if I was lucky and got another quest. But like my usual, I only got this unlucky one here.

Systems now became like phones in the ancient age of humans. We all had systems that helped to moderate our lives.

For me, and as a classless person, I had no privilege to get high ranked quests. Only trash quests like this one kept popping each morning.

Ten coins seemed like a very small fee for such a task. But it was enough to pay my rent and provide food for myself.

"Oh, it's the bright and intelligent man again," that crazy old man noticed me it seemed. The moment he did, he stopped shouting at the people in this street and turned to look at me, with a smile that wasn't like one.

He looked the same as usual, wearing a ragged and tattered old looking black suit that turned grey out of time and continuous cleaning. His white and long hair was dishevelled and fell over his shoulders, even reaching the middle of his back.

His face was stained with black and blue spots, out of his habit to do his proclaimed foretelling experiments using explosive substances. I once was about to get blown to pieces thanks to one of his proclaimed foretelling.

"Don't say that to me, I'm just a normal loser in this kingdom," I came to stand beside him while feeling disgust from the look of his saw-like yellow teeth.

In fact, if I saw him from afar, I would mistake him for being a monster! The only proof he was a human came from the system. After all, systems never assigned low grade quests for humans unless to serve other humans.

"Come… Come… I got more stories to tell," and here he started again! Despite my task was to attend to this crazy man's needs, he only cared about one thing… Telling stories!

At first I was very interested in what he was saying. He kept telling weird tales and stories that seemed like real legends. I was entranced by his foolishness and craziness until one day I discovered what he was telling was pure nonsense!

He kept stressing that he was telling the untold truth of history. But not a single word of what he said was written or even mentioned in any known record to mankind! I searched and even dropped my quests for an entire week to check over his awesome bulls*t!

Eventually I realised how insane and full of bullshit he was! The events he kept telling never happened before. Different events occurred, not even close to what he kept telling me about. And even the names he made sure for me to memorise weren't even registered in any legendary tales known to human civilization before or after the apocalypse!

Ji the brave, Luke the mightiest, Anna the wisest, Cher the lioness… and much more of such weird names and nicknames that never existed.

"Come, I have a good tale to tell you today," he hurriedly took me inside his house with such enthusiasm. According to him, he kept issuing the system tasks only to me.

And aside from him, I got no other regular customers to satisfy.

His house was like the difference between earth and heaven compared to his ragged state. It could be described as a big mansion with a wide garden and tall walls.

A palace, a palace with an owner who was a beggar like him… How ironic!

I once asked him how could someone like him get such a fancy place to live in. The only answer I got was that he had a very high class, and that provided him with great income even without the need for him to do anything.

I really envied him at that moment and even now! Classes in our world were like college degrees in the old human civilization. I was like a person without a degree. Despite being smart, hard working, knowing a lot of crafts, and willing to do anything with devotion; I wouldn't be able to get anywhere in this world without having a degree, without a class.

Many others weren't as good as me and were living in luxury thanks to their classes. I hated classes more than anything in the world as it turned my life into such hell.

And the most bitter thing was the fact that I didn't bring any of this upon myself in the first place! I just inherited such a cursed life, just came from such a wrong family.

If I had the chance to get reborn under another family with a class, I would be grateful for that! If I had a chance to get a class, even if I went to hell itself to get it, I wouldn't flinch back.

It was my life's greatest dream, a dream that would possibly not turn true at all.

So many times I imagined myself getting back in time, to the moment when the apocalypse befell humans. I dreamt about fighting for my own right to have a class of my own.

Humans back then mistook things greatly. They thought they were fighting for their survival and didn't care about things like quests nor classes. They were wrong! They didn't know that by such careless decisions, they doomed all the generations that came after them till the end of time.

Gosh! Every time I thought about this, I got mad! I wished I could have a say in all this, I wished I could change my current fate, even by facing death itself.

Dual cultivation isn't a choice; it's a necessity. After being struck by a truck like most lucky protagonists (or unlucky ones), Vaan found himself transmigrated into the body of an orphan in the world of witches and demons. Since then, the world of men was dominated by witches, establishing the seven witch kingdoms, which safeguards at the forefront of the demon invasion. In order to survive in the matriarchal society of the witch kingdoms, Vaan, like all other men who cannot use magic, had to learn how to service the witches to survive. Nevertheless, it did not come without its own benefits. Years of research have led the world to the discovery of intimacy between men and women could increase the witches' mana absorption. But at the same time, men could absorb some of this mana to improve their physique and lifespan. Thus, since then, an intricate relationship was formed between men and witches in the red-light districts. Love became casual, and dual cultivation is common. As a prodigy in the art of pleasing women, Vaan lived a smooth two years since his transmigration as an orphan. Earth's Greatest Magus

#Top 20 Webnovel Best Sellers 2021, 2022, 2023, and in 2024 #### History is said to be written by the victors. If so, how about Earth's history? Two millennia ago, a young boy named Emery met a tragic fate. In his final moments, he was transmigrated and accepted into the Universe's most prestigious school of magic. “You are among the chosen few from thousands of human worlds. Whether you seize this opportunity or not, is up to you. You are at Magus Academy, the pinnacle of humanity's ingenuity. Magic, science, and might are all within reach for those who dare to pursue them." [Scan complete - Quadruple affinity. Water, Earth, Plant, and Darkness.] "A quadruple acolyte! Only one in tens of thousands of acolytes possess this!" Thus began Emery’s journey together with his 4 friends from the furthest corner of Earth. Each year they returned to Earth to grow, seek revenge, save the princess, conquer the world, and become Earth's Greatest Magus. Their names are still etched in our history books to this day. Authors Note: I have always been fascinated by writing fantasy relating to historical facts. In this story, you will find characters inspired by real-world myth and legend. The universe I created hopefully will make the reader's imagination excited and logically plausible. I hope you enjoy it. ### Here are some key aspects you'll encounter: MC: The protagonist follows the classic weak-to-strong arc. World: Picture a blend of Harry Potter and Star Wars. System: While it's primarily a magic-based story, there's a structured system in place that's easy to follow. Additionally, elements of cultivation. Harem: No, there are several female interests. But I enjoy romance first. So even if there will be more than one love interest it will be deep. Note: English is not my first language, but you'll notice that my writing and English skills gradually improve throughout the chapters. Other: The novel delves into deep research on science and history, enriching the storyline with factual and intriguing details. Give it a read—you might be pleasantly surprised by what unfolds. Primordial Villain with a Slave Harem

Quinlan, a simple office worker finds himself transmigrated to an extremely dangerous fantasy land as a level 1 Commoner with nothing to his name but his wits - and a unique gift that accompanied his teleportation. No one in Thalorind could have predicted that this unassuming arrival would one day rise to the top, redefining the very meaning of the term 'power'... And that he may have achieved said result by joining a criminal organization and clawing his way through its ranks. In the beginning, Quinlan was painfully weak and alone but thanks to his severe trust issues, joining a team was... hard. However, he soon noticed that a lot of people have collars around their necks in this world... People that couldn't exactly betray him. Follow Quinlan's journey as he grows in strength, amasses wealth, fights to the death, and meets lovely ladies. ... Discord: https://discord.gg/bjunEkswQ3 ... After writing over 750 chapters, here’s what you should know: 1. About the beginning: The early chapters are a bit rough. I'm not saying that it's horrible, in fact, I believe the story to be very enjoyable right from chapter 1. But, at the end of the day, this is my first original novel, and I stumbled in some areas, especially with the MC's attitude. He's too reserved and occasionally too "simpy" with the first female lead. However, the MC grows into a confident, powerful, and composed figure. No long-term cringe. He becomes the kind of MC you want to root for. 2. Quinlan’s morality: He’s not a cruel, sadistic villain. Most of the time, he won't even be acting like a real villain, only when pushed to the limit. Meaning he won't torture puppies or civilians for fun while cackling manically. However, he’s greedy, shameless, and opportunistic. If the lives of his loved ones are at stake and he can only save them by burning a city with innocents inside down, he’ll do it. He's ruthless toward strangers when necessary, but doesn't delight in cruelty. 3. Regarding slaves: Yes, Quinlan becomes a slave master. However, he treats all his women—free or enslaved—with care and respect. 4. More than smut: Every love interest has a real story, a real presence. No girl will be left behind. As of Chapter 750, Quinlan has 7 lovers and a few more "in-development" love interests. This is not a "catch them all" story, adding one girl every 20 chapters. I prefer harems made up of girls with richly developed characters over giant harems full of shallow ladies. Quality over Quantity. 5. Balanced storytelling: My aim was to create a work where romance, action, and slice-of-life blend together naturally. There’s high-stakes action, power progression, romantic developments, comedy, and some chill downtime to let both the characters and the readers breathe. 6. Weak-to-Strong Progression: Quinlan will become OP. But he rises slowly, not overnight. His journey will hopefully feel earned. 7. Not every female character listed in the fandom is a love interest: Some women are important to the plot but are not part of the harem or a planned to be, such as his two mothers. 8. No Yuri. No NTR. That's it, thank you for taking your chance on my novel! I'll make a promise to you, showing how much I believe you'll love the novel if you get over the somewhat bumpy beginning! If you read 750 chapters and hate the story even after investing so much time into it, then you may burn me alive!

Young Master's PoV: Woke Up As A Villain In A Game One Day

"Now you see?" she shouted in a tone that was somewhere between annoyance and disappointment. "You can’t outsmart Scrients! They’re the most intelligent beings across the two realms!" "You’re right," I muttered, averting my gaze with a solemn sigh. "I made a mistake. I was arrogant to think a mere human like me could fool them." —BOOM!! "...Wh-What was that?" "Hmm? I’m not sure. Maybe you should go and ask the most intelligent beings across the two realms. Oh wait! You can’t. I killed them all." --- My name is Samael Kaizer Theosbane. On the last day of high school, I got into a fight with a kid I used to bully. It was a stupid and pointless scuffle. And in the middle of it, I tripped and smacked my head on a rock. That’s when the memories came flooding in… Memories of a different life. Memories of another world. Suddenly, everything made a twisted kind of sense. I realized two things. First: I was inside a game I used to play in my past life. Second: I was a villain. A villain! Not the cool, mysterious, tragic kind either! No, I was the worst kind of cliché — a spoiled, insufferable, and arrogant young master. The sort you'd find in those poorly written fantasy stories. You know the type! The one everyone hates. The one the hero would beat into the ground to show everyone just how strong and righteous he is. Yeah. I was that guy! My fate was to be a stepping stone for the main characters, be manipulated by a Demon Prince, and die a dog's death. And the hero? The hero was the same kid I’d been bullying all this time. The one I just got into a fight with. He was supposed to be the savior of this damned world. A world teetering on the edge of destruction, beset by wars, calamities, and a grim future that only I knew. And waiting at the end of it all was the final antagonist. The unbeatable nightmare. …The Spirit King. But could I even make it to the end? Could I really survive in a game where defeat was the only certainty? A game that had now become my reality? “Ah, fuck it.” I had no idea if I could. But I sure as hell was going to try. Extorting extras, manipulating main characters, altering the story to my advantage, stealing the hero’s cheat items, killing villains long before they could become threats — nothing was beneath me. Would the main characters be affected by my actions? Excellent! Would the story change? Even better! All I cared about was me. My survival. My life. My choices. “I’ll live this life with no regrets.” ...But as I soon discovered, fate wasn't so easily changed. And the price of rewriting your destiny was steep. ========== Discord Server: https://discord.gg/VjFQtDUaTR

So let's get some of the biggest stuff out of the way. Within 50 chapters our MC is OP. If you like that kind of thing, that's fine. For me, I like a slow burn. If by chapter 50 I have a character throwing around literally millions of coins to buy any solutions to problems that come their way, even to the point of resisting a holy nuke, that's going to be a drop for me. I've only gotten to chapter 50. Apparently from the other reviews it eventually becomes a novel of just stomping big bads on other planets and dimensions. Even though all the worlds are converging on Earth? I dunno. Let's get to the meat of this review. Gammer and mistakes sometimes take me out of it, but I can ignore a lot of it. The story feels like a mix of a bunch of reincarnation/apocalypse novels. Again, not a deal breaker. I'm really sad about the unique twist that has kinda fallen by the wayside. Apparently, fallen angels (the main antagonist) have recruited large swaths of humanity to betray their kind for power and have them cement their power over humanity. This is why humanity is very weak in the future. Great twist, love it. But we already have an item that can find traitors easily. Even it's drawback is negated because our MC can just spend coins to solve it. So, no need to worry. This is why I've rated the story development so low because. Already we've tossed out a big challenge for our MC. Not even death can pose a problem, because our MC literally just bought extra lives. And can do so whenever they want. As for character design, MC is pretty bland. A step above some of the worst I've read, but quickly becoming the 'smartest, most handsome, strongest' man and that's it. Again, if you like that, this story is for you. Just not for me. Now, if you want a story to be able to sink your teeth in, no worries. There's TONS of content. That's a positive of this story. But at the end of the day, it's just another OP MC with no depth to them defeating the apocalypse with a wave of their hand while the girls swoon. Oh, and with a few slurs thrown in. Because of course.

I'm writing this review as of chapter 70. I think this series has a lot of potential! But it could use some work to realize it. I know it currently has over 800 chapters at the time of this writing so maybe these issues are addressed by now but I'm just giving my thoughts about what I've read so far. I think this story takes a very different approach to stories that involve the main character having a system in a world where everyone has one. Systems are generally made to make the growth of the characters easier and or faster than it would be without one. After all, why spend years working out and training relentlessly to become strong when you can just level up and do quests? But with this work, the bad guys are manipulating the game/system to try and make it so the main character and the rest of humanity don't get strong. So the main character has to be smart enough to find ways to make the system work for him instead of against him. All while screwing over the bad guys that are trying to screw him over. It helps the story feel unique. I also like that there doesn't seem to be much Deus Ex Machina going on. Every challenge the MC wins against is because of his strategies and not because he pulled some power out of nowhere. But there are problems. One is that are are fairly frequent grammatical and spelling errors. Some are more noticeable than others. The second problem is that the story doesn't seem to know if it wants to be a harem or not. It also seems like there's a bit too much info given at once to keep track of sometimes. It just feels like the story's scope is already way too big for where it currently is. But overall I think this is a pretty good work that deserves a good look.
