the problem is having Peter's parents alive is inconvenient for the story for one you don't know really what Peter's parents were like some comics has flashbacks of them even somewhere they're alive but the fact is it's far better to have Aunt May and Uncle Ben they're very established you know their personality and it gives a reason for Peter to live in Queens to go to the school he does and all that jazz I think you would prefer reading a story or writing a story about someone who's not Peter Parker and you have an entire OC family and MC of your own making

I know the author is looking for canon, but honestly I think his reason for the MC not being able to do it while other MCs are able to is not very valid, mainly because these MCs practically say straight out that there is an adult in a child's body and the other adults don't even react, some child MCs say future information and the adults just ask something and don't even go into detail about why a child knows these things, these MCs are pure plot armor, I know that the whole story is controlled by the plot, but in my opinion a story should at least deceive a little and add a touch of realism, without it seeming like the author is blatantly helping the MC.
