Synopsis

The story follows a man that was reincarnated into the future, or so he thought. Instead, he was reincarnated into the world of Earth 2138, where he found a job as a developer for a game. "Hmm, I must have seen this game idea somewhere, it seems familiar," "Wait, isn't this Overlord?!?!" Note: Not a plot following fanfic. Rewriting some mistakes made in the early chapters.

Chapter 1E2138-1: Reincarnation

As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting an ethereal orange glow over the lifeless cityscape, Akiya Nobuyuki embarked on his solitary journey through the abandoned streets. The resounding echo of his footsteps, amplified by the sheer emptiness surrounding him, pierced through the eerie silence, contrasting with the hustle and bustle of the past, now long forgotten. The towering concrete structures, once symbols of human achievement and progress, now stood as bleak and desolate monuments of a bygone era.

Unlike most of the surviving population in this post-apocalyptic world, Yuki refused to be enslaved by virtual reality games or to succumb to the tasteless, synthetic food supplements. His vision extended far beyond the current state of the world, to a place where environmental destruction and overconsumption were things of the past. In his mind's eye, he envisioned a future where organic, healthy food was the norm, and outdoor sports were a widespread pastime.

As an orphan, his name was assigned by an outdated AI system at the orphanage where he spent his childhood. At first, he believed it was a cruel joke, but he quickly realized that even basic human necessities, like a proper name, were reserved for the privileged. Despite the odds stacked against him, Yuki clung to his dream with unwavering determination, driven by a deep-rooted desire to manifest a better future for all.

In the midst of this contaminated and barren world, I stand as Akiya Nobuyuki. The life I once knew seems like a far-off dream, a distant memory of a world vastly different from the one in which I exist now. Cut off from my roots, I am a stranger in this land, surrounded by the remnants of a once-great civilization reduced to a bleak and toxic wasteland.

The skies are perpetually obscured by a thick, impenetrable veil of smog, with the sun a mere shadow that rarely makes an appearance. The cities are engulfed in noxious fumes, with the inhabitants forced to wear gas masks merely to take a breath. The flora and fauna that once thrived in abundance have all withered away, leaving machines as the sole means of sustaining our existence. The water, once a source of vitality, is now contaminated and unfit for human consumption, requiring filtration to make it potable.

The vegetation, once responsible for converting carbon dioxide to oxygen and absorbing nitrogen oxide, has perished, exacerbating the already precarious air pollution. The decrease in plant populations has also resulted in the decline of bird and insect populations, further accelerating the destruction of the natural world.

In this world devoid of hope and inspiration, Yuki's dreams are the light that pierces through the darkness. His relentless pursuit of a better future, free from the shackles of environmental destruction and societal inequality, serves as a beacon of hope for those lost in the shadows.

As I continue to explore this dystopian version of Japan, I can't help but feel like I'm in a dream. The reality of the situation is almost too unbelievable to comprehend. A once prosperous nation, now consumed by the greed of corporate conglomerates, has left its citizens in a state of poverty and despair.

The environmental destruction that has taken place is almost beyond repair. As I walk the empty streets, I can see the effects of industrial pollution in every direction. The air is thick with smog, and the water is undrinkable without filtration. The natural world has been decimated, with plant and animal life struggling to survive amidst the toxic landscape.

But despite the bleakness of it all, there is a glimmer of hope. A small group of people who refuse to give up on their dreams of a better future. They envision a world free from the tyranny of corporate rule, where people are able to live in harmony with nature.

It's not just about survival, it's about thriving. And that's what sets these dreamers apart from the rest of society. They refuse to accept the status quo, and are willing to fight for a better tomorrow.

As I make my way through the deserted city, I can't help but think about the irony of it all. The very thing that brought about the downfall of society is now the only thing that stands between the people and a brighter future. It's a paradox that seems almost impossible to overcome.

But there's something about the resilience of the human spirit that gives me hope. Even in the darkest of times, people have the ability to come together and make a change. And that's what these dreamers are counting on.

As I reach the edge of the city, I look out at the barren landscape beyond. It's a reminder of the world that once was, and a call to action for the world that could be. And as I take my first steps into the unknown, I can't help but wonder if this is just the prologue to an isekai anime, where I'll be transported to a magical world full of wonder and possibility. It's a comforting thought, but I know deep down that the real world is far more complex than any anime could ever portray.

In the media, he was hailed as a great hero who would usher in a new era or human wellness. However, behind the scenes things weren't so bright. Being a unique individual, Vahn spent his entire youth locked up in a lab with various scientists and research teams using his body and blood to perform endless amounts of experiments. Naruto: The Outsider's Resolve

[A Naruto Fan Fiction] Make the best of what you have, they said... But what I am supposed to do when the best I have are red-eyed freaks, a child who's supposed to be the jailor of the most dangerous being in the world, a snake bastard with serious boundary issues, and a whole world of super soldiers with licences to murder. And you know the best part? None of them like me so much... Oh shut it, old man! Take that Will of Fire and shove it up your— Yeah, this second swing at life isn't panning out... --------------------------------------------------------------- What to expect: - Gradual strength progression. Meaningful growth. The MC is a normal guy dumped into the Narutoverse, starts out weak and has to work and struggle for everything he gains. - "Slow" paced. My writing style is a zoomed-in look camera that follows the protagonist. It might seem slow, but I ensure something is always happening to progress the plot forward. - Gritty and often bloody fights and actions scenes with a focus on taijutsu—you'll see individual combat, team fights, and large-scale battle. - A different take on the Narutoverse. The world is full of superhuman mercenaries with liscenes-to-kill—that along with the protagonist's struggles paint the world in a much darker light. - Additions and expansion to the "chakra" power system. I consider myself a conservative when it comes to adapting the power system—and aim to retain the original feel while highlighting the best parts. - The Outsider's Resolve version of Narutoverse uses the [Naruto Manga] as the base—with additions from anime, books, and even Boruto (though very less likely). --------------------------------------------------------------- DISCORD SERVER: https://discord.gg/w5dJ82SfMr --------------------------------------------------------------- PATREON LINK: https://www.patreon.com/fictiononlyreader --------------------------------------------------------------- DECLARATION: This story is also present on: FFN, Ao3, SpaceBattles, SufficientVelocity, and ScribbleHub RoyalRoad [to be verified] --------------------------------------------------------------- DISCLAIMER: I don't own any character other than my OCs.
