"Xigu…"

Su Xiqin called out as she slowly walked towards the bedroom.

Under the dim lights, she could faintly see someone lying on the bed. She didn't think much as she sat down and reached out her hand. 

"Xigu, are you drunk?"

Hot… Su Xiqin couldn't help but tremble a bit from the burning sensation. 

However, she didn't get to pull back her hand as someone suddenly grasped it. With a strong force pulling her forward, she fell upon the man lying on the bed.

The strong smell of alcohol from a cold man who was a stranger rushed into her nose. He's not Xigu. 

"Who sent you here?" asked a hoarse voice that sounded like sand passing through an hourglass.

"Who are you? Let go of me." Su Xiqin panicked as she struggled to break free. 

"What's the point of pretending to be aloof when you're already here?" That man panted as he flipped on top of Su Xiqin. 

Su Xiqin could feel his heated breaths tease her through her pores, and she panicked as she put her hands out against the man's chest. 

"Go away, help…" 

In the darkness, the man suddenly lowered his head as he covered all her cries and struggles; she didn't have enough strength to resist. 

"Ah…" Suddenly, she felt a dull pain spreading from her private area to her limbs.

Su Xiqin, who was napping on her office desk during lunchtime, suddenly opened her eyes. She realized that it was a dream when she saw her monitor, file folders, and office supplies on her desk. 

Doesn't this dream only come at night? So strange that I dreamed of it during the day too. 

"Su, it's time for the scheduled appointment with the Zhuosheng Corporation." A sharp voice came from the door at this moment. 

Su Xiqin raised her head to look. 

"You look a bit pale; are you okay?" Zhang Jing asked as she pushed up her glasses a bit. 

Su Xiqin was still affected by her nightmare as her eyes laid upon Zhang Jing's face without focus. She shook her head as she replied softly, "I'm fine. I'll be there after I finish preparing." 

Seeing Zhang Jing turning around and walking away, she pulled out a few tissues from a box on the table to wipe the sweat off her forehead. Then, she patted her forehead slightly, trying to cheer up as she took a deep breath, stood up, and started to prepare the documents. 

Ten minutes later, Su Xiqin was holding a black handbag with one hand and a file holder in the other as she stepped out of the office with a cold expression. 

It was the month of June in S City, and the temperature was approaching 38 degrees Celsius at around 2 PM. The whole city was almost like a steam pot. 

The trees by the sidewalks were like seniors with hunched backs, and their leaves hung down and moved with the wind along with the traffic. With the car horns and cicadas' chirping sound in the background, the trees felt like they were out of energy.

Su Xiqin's car slowly moved on this blazing street. 

"Su, has Zhuosheng confirmed that they will be collaborating with us?" Zhang Jing turned her head with a serious expression and stared at Su Xiqin, who was driving. 

"Not sure, but we are heading there to discuss the details." Su Xiqin stared ahead into the traffic. 

Zhang Jing nodded her head and murmured, "Zhuosheng's CEO has a brain; he wouldn't choose others over you since there are no jewelry designers more capable than you."

Zhang Jing suddenly paused since Su Xiqin's face turned pale in an instant, and her eyes looked like she was trying to suppress some painful emotions before it turned dead like still water. 

She looked in the direction of Su Xiqin's gaze in curiosity. 

There was a luxurious car parallel to them, and its tinted windows were rolled down on such a hot day. A beautiful and fashionable woman was sitting in their sightline, and her body was leaning against the man in the driver's seat. 

God! That man… Isn't that the CEO. 

Coincidentally, the man in the luxurious car suddenly looked over with his cold gaze, making Zhang Jing shiver. However, Su Xiqin looked straight ahead and kept on driving. 

She suddenly accelerated, surpassing that luxurious car that was parallel to them.

Zhang Jing peeked at Su Xiqin and noticed that her expression of pain became indifferent again like still water. 

Although Zhang Jing had just graduated from university, she could tell clearly that Su Xiqin's sad expression just now was related to her love life. 

Is there something between Su and the CEO?

The car approached an intersection, and the green light started to turn yellow. However, Su Xiqin didn't step on the brakes. Instead, it looked like she wanted to charge through the intersection. 

Suddenly, a Bentley appeared on the left side of the intersection. 

"Su, watch out!" It was too late when Zhang Jing shouted it out. 

Su Xiqin turned the steering wheel quickly as she stepped onto the brakes. 

Bam! A loud noise sounded; the cars inevitably crashed. 

Bam! Another noise sounded.
