Humiliation

Everyone held their breath as they watched the man get out of his Bentley. His sculpted features made everything around them lose color; even a handsome man like Mo Xigu had lost his charm in front of him.

Mo Xigu was not pleased, especially since he felt he was being ignored when he saw how Su Xiqin looked slightly stunned. His expression turned gloomy as he spoke with sarcasm.

"Su Xiqin, is it because you haven't had a man for too long that you are this thirsty? Are you thinking about hooking up with just any random man you see on the street?"

His insulting words shocked the woman beside him as she stared at him in surprise, unable to understand how he could say something like this.

Su Xiqin turned her cold gaze towards him. Seeing the anger on his face, she didn't mistake it for jealousy, but rather his ego acting up as a man. She had endured his insulting words for five years, and she had had enough.

Maybe, it was time for her to put an end to this.

She stared at him under the sunlight and replied, "Any man on the streets would be cleaner than you are."

Mo Xigu's veins bulged on his forehead as he stepped forward and grasped her arm. He clenched his teeth and said, "As a woman who gave birth to a b*stard, how clean can you be then?"

Having heard him call her child a b*stard, Su Xiqin swung her other arm towards him, but it was stopped before it could reach his face.

"What? You feel hurt?"

Su Xiqin locked her eyes onto Mo Xigu. The indifferent expression on her oval face didn't change, but her hand that was grabbed clenched into a fist. He had never let go of any chance that he had to insult her, and now he was even insulting her child.

She became a part of the Mo Family when she was 18 years old, and he knew her personality the best; it was his fault that she lost her innocence on the night of their wedding.

Su Xiqin looked at this man who she had loved deeply before and was now a stranger to her. She started to laugh in a quiet voice until tears came out of her eyes.

After a bit, her laughter stopped as she stared coldly at him. "A man who even slept with his wife's little sister during their wedding night; who are you to judge if I'm dirty? Even if I gave birth to someone else's child, that would be better than having your kid."

"So I'd even feel safer sleeping with men on the streets since I'd feel less afraid of catching something." After saying that, she swung her hand with force to get away from his grasp, and watching fury take over his originally-grim face, she smiled as she took a few steps back, feeling that she vented her anger.

She should have ended this marriage on that wedding night five years ago, but she was reluctant to do so. Now, she had awakened from this and should have used the same courage in giving birth to her child to end all of this.

"So for revenge, you decided to sleep with someone else and have their child?" Mo Xigu ferociously stared at Su Xiqin who was leaning on her car.

Su Xiqin paused her steps and lifted her head to look up at the sun. Her vision was blinded by the bright sunlight while she felt like a thin layer of tears gradually built up before her eyes. She knew she heard her mother say it was room 1314, but how come it turned into room 1413?

She didn't understand how it happened; her mother could have refused the marriage if she didn't want her to marry Mo Xigu, but why did she lie to her?

Even if Su Xiqin had explained everything, Mo Xigu probably wouldn't have believed her. The decision to give birth to the child was so that she would no longer be moved by her feelings in this relationship. More precisely, she was devastated by the fact that Mo Xigu had slept with her little sister, Su Xixue, and decided to give birth to the child so that she could have another life. She had enough of this dreadful life that she was living, and she was okay if he saw this as her revenge.

"It is revenge," she said softly as her voice quickly disappeared in the air.

Mo Xigu's eyes turned bloodshot in an instant as he quickly approached her and clamped her shoulders with his hands.

"Su Xiqin, you're more heartless than anyone else."

Su Xiqin lowered her head and ignored the pain coming from her shoulders as she asked one last time with a sliver of hope in her eyes. "I want to know why you did that with Su Xixue back then. Why did you treat me that way? If you didn't like me, you could've chosen not to marry me in the first place."
