What’s Wrong With You, Bai Yansen?

Bai Yansen had enough fun secretly kissing Su Xiqin while she was drunk, so he didn't stay long after he dropped her home. He had an important meeting in the afternoon that he needed to attend, so he soon left.

When Tang Xi got to Su Xiqin's place, she was sleeping in her own bedroom. Tang Xi was curious what Su Xiqin and Bai Yansen's relationship was.

It was dark and the street lights were already on when Su Xiqin woke up, so she turned on her night light. She could sense a strong headache caused by her hungover.

After washing up in the bathroom, Su Xiqin went out of her room and into the living room. She saw Mo Jintian sitting on the sofa watching the animation "GG Bond" on the television intently. It was the climax of the show, and Mo Jintian laughed out loud.

When Little Milk Bun heard footsteps, he looked up and saw Su Xiqin. He squinted his eyes and said with a smile, "Susu, you're awake?"

"Mhm." Su Xiqin walked towards the sofa with a strong sense of guilt; how could she forget her child because she was drunk?

"Mommy overslept… are you hungry?" Su Xiqin asked.

"I ate some crackers just now, and Auntie Xi is making dinner in the kitchen right now," Little Milk Bun said in a cute voice as he raised his apple-like head. 

Mo Jintian's brows were very similar to those of Su Xiqin. He had inherited Su Xiqin's snow-white skin and her oval shaped face. Mo Jintian was still young, so he still had his baby fat. With his pair of dazzling big dark eyes, he was extremely cute.

Su Xiqin looked at Mo Jintian for a while and then said, "Sorry that Mommy couldn't pick you up from school."

"Get some rest, Mommy. You must be tired, so don't worry. Auntie Xi came to pick me up."

Su Xiqin immediately felt a warm wave rush into her soul. If one were to compare Mo Xigu to a devil that made her suffer, then Mo Jintian was her little angel that gave her joy.

As she touched Mo Jintian's soft and smooth cheeks, her eyes sparked.

Just then, Tang Xi came out of the kitchen. She saw Su Xiqin and said, "You're awake?"

Su Xiqin turned over to Tang Xi and nodded. "Yeah, Xixi, thank you so much."

"You're being too formal, no?" Tang Xi said and gave Su Xiqin a strange look. 

"Come over," Tang Xi said. Su Xiqin knew that look of Tang Xi's; Tang Xi had something she wanted to talk to her about, but she couldn't say it in front of her son. Su Xiqin patted Mo Jintian shoulders and said, "Keep watching TV. I'm going to go help Auntie Xi in the kitchen."

"Okay, go, go!" Mo Jintian nodded and shifted his eyes back to the LED screen.

When Su Xijin went into the kitchen, Tang Xi immediately took off the oven mittens and asked with a curious look, "Do you know how you got home?"

"Didn't you drive me home?" Su Xiqin asked with surprise.

Tang Xi shook her head and looked intently at Su Xiqin. "A man drove you home."

She paused as Su Xiqin's face showed shock. Tang Xi continued to say, "The man's name is Bai Yansen. Be honest; what is your relationship with him?"

Su Xiqin's face froze when Tang Xi mentioned Bai Yansen, but she tried to hide it from her friend, so she mumbled, "The Mo Corporation and the Zhuosheng Corporation are business partners, and I am the designer in charge of the project for the Zhuosheng Corporation."

"How did he know where you live? There must be something between you two." Tang Xi looked intently at Su Xiqin, as if she were trying to read through her. Suddenly, Tang Xi focused on Su Xiqin's lips, which were red and swollen, as if someone had bitten it.

Su Xiqin didn't expect to bump into Bai Yansen, so she looked at Tang Xi with a surprised look.

"Hurry up and tell me the truth." Tang Xi raised an eyebrow and winked.

"To tell you the truth, he saved me last night and drove me home." Given no other choice, Su Xiqin was forced to tell Tang Xi the partial truth, as she was scared to expose the detail that Bai Yansen had come into her house before. She knew that Tang Xi loved gossip, and she'd try to get as much of a scoop as possible.

"Wow, isn't that the legendary prince charming saving the damsel in distress story?" Tang Xi said with her eyes beaming with spark.

"No, it was a coincidence. His friend owns the hotel, so…" Su Xiqin was rather jittery as she moved her hands around.

"So he saved you yesterday and drove you home today? Does he have a crush on you? Also, your lips look like someone had bitten them."

Su Xiqin was shocked and subconsciously covered her lips the next second. "That's impossible! You've watched too much Korean drama! I'm someone's wife, and I have a son! There's no way he'd like me. We only meet each other on business occasions, and the Zhuosheng Corporation used me for business purposes. He probably wants to work with me on business in the future. Don't you know that a lot of companies are trying to recruit me?"

Tang Xi rolled her eyes and said, "If you don't believe me, you should go look at yourself in the mirror. But if a man like Bai Yansen likes you, that would be the best!"

Su Xiqin went to the bathroom next to the kitchen to check herself out after hearing what Tang Xi had to say. When Tang Xi saw how uneasy Su Xiqin looked, she laughed and said, "Susu, did he take advantage of you?"

When Su Xiqin heard this, the image of Bai Yansen forcefully kissing her last night appeared in her mind. Her face immediately lit bright red, but thankfully her back was facing Tang Xi, so Tang Xi couldn't see her expression. If her friend had seen her flushed face, she wouldn't know how to explain herself to her.

She saw that her lips were red and swollen in front of the mirror. How long did he kiss me to make my lips look like this? Su Xiqin was angry and cursing in secret, Bai Yansen is sick!

Tang Xi had followed Su Xiqin into the bathroom. Tang Xi patted on her shoulder and exclaimed, "I didn't know your peach blossom is blooming so much, but I really think Bai Yansen likes you. Why not try? You'll make Mo Xigu really angry."

Su Xiqin looked at her friend from the mirror and said with a genuine and serious look, "Xixi, if I want to make Mo Xigu angry, I wouldn't have waited until today. You know what kind of a person Bai Yansen is. If he really is interested in me, it'd only be the interests that rich guys have towards playing with women. Why would I make a fool of myself?"

Tang Xi scrunched up her face and said, "I know you're not a superficial woman, but you have to be cautious of Bai Yansen from now on."

Su Xiqin turned around and said, "If the Mo Corporation is willing to terminate our contract, I'm going to leave this place."

Tang Xi paused for a moment and then asked, "Are you really planning to leave?"

Su Xiqin nodded and said softly, "It's probably best for my son and I to leave."

Tang Xi leaned over to Su Xiqin and grabbed onto Su Xiqin's hand with her hands. "Where are you planning to go?"

Su Xiqin sighed and said, "I'm not sure yet."

Tang Xi pouted and said, "It will be hard on you to be a single mother and away from home."

Su Xiqin knew that her best friend didn't want her leave, but she knew that her friend couldn't keep her here, so she smiled and said, "No matter how hard it'll be, I'll get through it."

Tang Xi held onto Su Xiqin's shoulder and said, "Are you willing to see me all alone?"

Su Xiqin rolled her eyes at Tang Xi. Before she could respond, Tang Xi had made up her mind. "How about I tag along? My current job isn't great. I can either go or not go."

"It's decided then. I will go with you," Tang Xi said as if everything was set in stone.

Su Xiqin wanted to urge her not to, but Tang Xi stopped her with a hand gesture, "No need to dissuade me; I've made up my mind."

Su Xiqin looked at Tang Xi speechlessly, thinking that she'll persuade her later when she was less hot headed. 

Back in the living room, Mo Jintian was secretly chatting with Bai Yansen on Su Xiqin's cellphone.
