Want Him To Regret

Su Xiqin curled her lips as she grabbed some bok choy with her chopsticks and put them in Mo Jintian's bowl. "Eat some bok choy."

Mo Jintian raised his chubby face and pouted his lips as he said, "Su-Su, I don't want to eat the ones with garlic."

Su Xiqin felt her head hurting as she wondered who this child took after and how come he was so picky with food. She would eat garlic, why not her child?!

After Su Xiqin had put Little Milk Bun to sleep after dinner, she sat in the living room with Tang Xi as they watched an idol drama that was playing on their 50-inch LED TV.

"This female protagonist is too weak; she's not saying anything even when her husband's like this." Tang Xi couldn't hold her anger when watching a scene from the drama.

Su Xiqin's gaze landed on the TV screen and started to blank out as she shared a similar story with the female protagonist. Does this mean I'm weak as well?

Tang Xi sensed the quietness from Su Xiqin and turned her head. "Are you okay today? Something seems off."

Su Xiqin put her head onto Tang Xi's shoulder.

"What's wrong?" Tang Xi asked surprisingly.

Su Xiqin slowly told her what had roughly happened today.

"This man is horrible; I really want to see him regret one day."

Su Xiqin laughed in her head as she didn't believe such a day would ever come.

"Xi-Xi, I've thought it through. I'm going to divorce him."

"*Sigh*, you should've done this earlier. You're only 23 years old, yet you don't look lively at all like how a 23-year-old girl should be. The news covering your husband's affairs are everywhere, and what were you doing? You still remained silent like a virtuous wife, not even complaining. I'm close to becoming impotent because of your tolerance. No, becoming asexual."

Su Xiqin sighed. "For the longest time, I didn't know why he wanted to marry me. Today, I finally figured it out."

Su Xiqin's eyes started to well up again when she got to this point.

"Why did he marry you?"

"Whatever." Su Xiqin chuckled lightly. "Let's not talk about these annoying things. Anyways, I'm going to divorce him."

"You should've done this a long time ago; he's not someone worth you wasting your youth on. You're still young, and you're pretty. Remember when we were still in school, and you were the most popular girl that caught everyone's hearts? Although you have a kid, you'll meet a man who's better than him, and he'll be nothing. Make him angry and regret!" Tang Xi was clenching her teeth at the end of her speech.

Su Xiqin paused for a second and let out a laugh. "I've already been through this once; how would I have the energy to fall in love once more."

"Qin-Qin, don't tell me you are going to live with just Little Milk Bun for the rest of your life!"

"What's wrong with that? Having Jintian is enough for me."

Tang Xi turned her body around anxiously and grabbed Su Xiqin's shoulders. "If Little Milk Bun's biological father appears and fights for the kid's custody, what will you do?"

Su Xiqin froze as she never thought about an event where Jintian's biological father would fight for the custody of her son. She didn't dare to think about this, because what would she do if Jintian wasn't here with her anymore?

She shook her head vigorously. "Impossible."

"Why is it impossible?" Tang Xi's brows furrowed.

"That man was drunk that night; he probably doesn't even remember," Su Xiqin said affirmatively as she lifted her head off of Tang Xi's shoulder.

Tang Xi thought about Little Milk Bun's above-average IQ from seemingly superior genes and she snorted, "I hope that man doesn't remember anything then. My guess is that he's not an ordinary man, and he would definitely fight for custody if he appears. So, it's best if he just doesn't appear at all."

Su Xiqin hoped that as well from the bottom of her heart.

Tang Xi still felt it was unbelievable as she furrowed her brows and said, "Wait, how come you didn't see what he looked like back then? If you saw his face, at least you would know who the child's father is!"

Su Xiqin sunk into the sofa and said in a low tone.

"At my age back then, how smart could I have been? I was so worried after what happened that I wanted to kill myself; how could I have the ability to think more?"

Tang Xi sighed. "But if you try to get a divorce now, will the Mo Family agree to it?"

"It will be fine as long as Mo Xigu agrees."

To be honest, Su Xiqin was worried as well, as she wondered if the Mo Family would agree to let her have the kid. After all, Mo Xigu's father didn't know that the kid wasn't his son's, and if she wanted to take the child with her, these hidden secrets would be exposed. Su Xiqin felt powerless having thought of that.

"I'm only afraid that by then, the Mo Family won't let go of the child. How will you fight them for him when you're all alone?"

"Don't worry, there will always be a way out." Su Xiqin comforted Tang Xi instead. She suddenly remembered something and asked, "How is the situation with your family?"

"Same old, same old. Whatever, let them be!" Tang Xi swung her hands and didn't look like she wanted to talk more as she looked at her wristwatch.

"It's not early, I'm going back now. Call me if you need anything."

After saying that, Tang Xi got up and grabbed her black purse as she walked towards the door in her clear slippers.

Su Xiqin looked at Tang Xi, who was switching into street shoes, and reminded her, "Be careful on your way back."

The sound of the door closing was the reply.

Su Xiqin looked up at the LED TV, and almost all the channels were playing boring idol dramas, so she held up the TV remote and turned the screen off. She then got up and walked back to her bedroom to rest.
