Consume the light

Aaron had two problems: worry and his feeling towards some girl. He was supposed to wait for her in this park but she had not shown up yet.

For the last fifteen minutes, he'd been hovering around the park. Bored, if only he can train in his house. But today is rest day if he doesn't follow the plan his body will damage.

" Uncle, can you please help us?", two kids came and asked for help. Aaron flinched for a second, he is not that good with kids.

" Sure. What do you need? " asked Aaron while folding his sunglasses. His large grey eyes were scanning around the park, despite the laziness one can see hidden passion inside his eyes.

" Wow.! Grey eyes." one of the kids yelled with excitement.

Aaron smiled, his eyes were the most memorable features on his face. Another kid pointed at the tree near them, a red balloon hanging on the brunch.

He nodded. They both walked toward the tree.

" Well. Well. How do we get that thing?"

Aaron took off his blue wide cape, the popular fashion trending among his fellow friends, but it was not worth it. He found this trend dumb.

Aaron quickly climbed up and took the balloon. The kids smiled brightly.

" Where are your parents?" asked Aaron, it is a large park in the middle of the city so the child's predatory favourite place. It's dangerous for the kids to play around without a guardian. Not that he cares about some random kids. Just gave a normal response he thought.

" Our mother went to the bathroom, it is boring to stay outside the toilet so we went ahead and play."

' Shit! They got lost. ' Aaron laughed inwardly. He took out his phone and dialled the park station. After talking with security, he was right. The kid's mom is searching for them.

They were idiots. Big idiots.

Aaron kept the company for a bit. After that, he was left alone again. Forgotten worry started to form again.

" Where did she go?", said Aaron while looking at the time on his phone.

Ring! Ring! Ring!

His phone suddenly vibrated with a red light on. The loud sirens went on around the park, he could hear screams and panic from afar.

[ Alert! Alert! A high-level monster went inside the city B. Alert!]

[ It is currently heading toward the central park.]

Aaron headed in the direction of the kid's family. He could have run away from this park quickly but with the two kids, he knows it is not easy to run. And they went inside the park, which was far away from the exit.

If the soldier dropped the bomb, it'll be over for them. Running inside the park, he stopped when he heard the rush.

Immediately, he met the kids and their mom. They both terrify. He arrived in front of them and picked up the two kids. " Hurry!" he yelled.

The mom understood the situation and nodded. " Thank you", she said.

Aaron laughed. " Don't mention it. It's my duty for civilian safety." He lied.

" Are you a soldier?"

" You know now is not the right time to talk."

Boom!

They saw a huge explosion ahead. A large flame erupted from the ground reaching the sky.

Roar!

It howled, leaping through the tree. With a size of a bus, with a massive flame on its back. [Fire-type evolved tiger]

Aaron cursed in his mind. He dropped the two kids and told the mother.

" Run."

But his order didn't reach her, shaking her knees, he can see the terror on her face. Pure horror was written on her soul.

Seeing this scene, disgust formed in Aaron's heart.

Slap!

He slapped the mother so hard that her front tooth went out. Blood dripping from her mouth falls on her beautiful yellow dress tainted with red.

" Go and take your sons away. I will stay here."

The mother nodded and quickly disappeared from his view.

Flaming Tiger is getting closer to him as well. ' Now, I gotta deal with this. '

Hunger. Hunger. Eat. Eat. The hunger along with the strength to tear apart diamonds, the monster had already consumed humans. Its blood flows nicely into his throat. At first, fighting the urge to let go of humanity is hard but slowly enjoys it.

He now knew why they followed the man's lead. That man was God, only he can make wonder like this.

Aaron took out his gun which he carried. It is not surprising. A revolver, an ancient gun, which is a cool nickname his friend gave him.

He aimed the gun at the tiger's eyes. He shot. The bullet hit the target but have no damage. He sighed. The tiger noticed him and charged toward him.

Quickly reached in front of Aaron, the heat emitted from the tiger's body affect his skin. He felt his skin melting, the tiger roaring and ready to bite.

Aaron ducked and managed to evade the bite. Although he lost his precious cape, it was worth it. He fired another shot at its eyes. This time it was close so he was confident.

Ahh...!

A piercing Sound wave hit his ears. Aaron was sent backwards, he collided with the tree. ' What was that? '

He saw the bullet stop in mid-air before reaching the eye. He tried to stand up but ultimately fall. Looking down at his legs, Aaron realized his injured.

' That is a problem. '

The tiger approached and bite his arms. A wave of pain assaulted his brain. The tiger was playing with him. It didn't completely chew his arms but bite him.

He swear he heard laughter from the tiger.

It hurt. I'm losing a crazy amount of blood. What should I do?

Aaron thought of multiple plans but nothing worked in his favor.

Suddenly he felt an urging feeling. Almost like an empty hole in his chest. He can feel it. Something is going to happen in his body.

His vision was slowly disrupted, and the flaming tiger was nowhere to be seen. A white void, it is creepy that it made him feel safe.

Slowly, the void filled with colour and different shapes and objects. It almost felt like watching someone draw.

'Oh! The quality to use energy. That's a rare one. And disgusting as well.'

A calm voice interrupted the peace. ' Who is this? 'Aaron yelled.

'Go away.'

Crack! The white void cracked open like glass and he regained his vision.

That is what Energy told the man. He poured himself some wine, took a sip and leaned back into his chair.

The red light fell from the window making him seem like he was drinking blood. He enjoyed the harsh taste although this was not his type.

He was watching the man in front of him with a smile. An exceptionally ugly one. The ugly one bowed down immediately.

The man said, " War is coming. Tell Shadow to prepare."

The ugly one dissolved into space and disappeared. The man stand up and walked toward the window. He slowly opened it.

Revealing a bloody moon, he heard the scream of thousands of creatures, humans but different kinds. Soaking their blood, the moon changed its colour.

" What a disgusting bastard. He did kill all those creatures just because he lose some game."

The man shook his head in disappointment. He doesn't care about the petty act of his friend. He waved his hands and commanded.

[ clean.]

Like a black hole, his words absorbed infinite energy from him. Numerous colours and particles float in from of him.

Soon the moon is in normal colour. He was satisfied with his effort. Although it is easy for him to destroy and replace with a new moon. The balance will not like it.

But who cares? He can erase the balance with his technique. Thinking about how to mess with the law, he felt bored.

Closing the window, he went to his bed.
