Its DBZ in DxD. He is human but its all DBZ moves and everything. That aint bad, but in terms of DxD it seems mostly just a plot to get Akeno, and maybe some other characters down the road. DxD wise its already not canon, Akeno and her family live in Kuoh, which either means her plot wont happen or the author doesnt know much about dxd....

Jaja, admito que tienes razón, pero cuando haces un fanfic, al menos esperas un poco de fidelidad al original, como el nombre de los personajes y sus historias, después de todo, la personalidad de muchos personajes que nos gustan, nacen de sus experiencias de vida, como por ejemplo, rías: si ella no estuviera desesperada por terminar su relación con raizer, jamás le habría dado una segunda mirada a isei, por lo tanto, no descubriría que puede tener un sacred gear, y akeno: ella no odiaria a su padre si no considerará su culpa la muerte de su madre, lo que haria casi imposible que isei superara a un arcángel para seducir a su hija, ni siquiera hablemos de shirone, como nekoshou, aman a los hombres fuertes, si aún estuviera junto a su hermana, lo mas probable es que persiguiera a alguien como vali o bikou, y nunca mirarian a alguien como isei, entonces, las historias de fondo realistas son necesarios, incluso si es un fanfic, ya que te permiten entender mejor el curso de la historia.

I feel like theres a difference between making deliberate changes, and just not knowing the story. If you read a fanfic that had the exact same background as the original, yet everything was completely different in the present, wouldnt it be a little off putting? Thats basically what the OP is annoyed about

whats disappointing is that the author can come up with a wonderfully detailed set of reasons on why humans have struggles and hard ships and come out better, only to write the power up and fight scenes like this.

The story is genuinely bad.
Warning beforehand? if you write a DxD fanfic and not expect us to think that story won't change until Mc decides to intervene, you are just plain stupid. There is a reason authors like to point out that if it's an AU or not. If you change the story from the start, it's AU and we shouldn't expect things to go how they should normally. Its basic book writing.
