The issue for when you do stuff like this, is the fact that he isnt experiencing time like we are. Ive read the last 5 chapters in like 10 minutes? He has been experiencing this world for HOURS now. When you have him in a confused state for the first few chapters, it makes sense. He had just been transported and was just trying to get away from the alley he was in, before all the action happened. The problem occurs when he is currently like 12 or more hours after being transported, yet seemingly in the EXACT same mental state. At that point, his mental state seems less temporary than i think you want to portray.
