I was already imagining that the race would be human, in the end he invents an idiotic reason with idiotic arguments and launches it...I'm not surprised by the general evaluation of the work, there's no point in giving it the opportunity

LIKEBasically the author was making the mc be human in dxd but came up with some bs story about how humans were supposedly the top dogs in the beginning but God nerfed them so they're actually really strong. which is not canon in any way to the dxd universe
Um, his arguments were not idiotic, though. He was right. Both in the sense of the Bible and reasonably pointing out that the supernatural in DxD hides from humanity and the obvious implications of that. You seem to only have a problem with the fact he's human. And if he wasn't human, you'd complain about him becoming X species instead of staying human and about how overused that is.
His reasoning were just speculations not something that is canon in dxd the reason supernatural hides from human is because faith from humans provides extra power to gods and and dream energy that great red feeds on. They are not hiding from humans because they are scared of human potential because the strongest humans, human magicians, government heads and many random humans already know of them and work with them. Humans in dxd absolutely don't pose any threat to them and canonically humans were so weak and at odds against the supernatural that God has to create sacred gears for them to be valid in the game.
