No..." he pushed the door open and ran into the room. He dived into the water without removing his slippers and swam towards the woman.
Song Ruoxin opened her eyes and jolted forward as she felt a cold hand on her shoulder. She rose from the water, turned around, and swung her hand back.
She swept the water out of her eye, ignored the loud hissed from whoever that was, and made a beeline to the coping of the pool.
Her heart raced as she held the edges of the pool and propelled herself up. She sat on the edges and looked up.
Her eyes widened as her gaze fell on Qin Shioming. "Shit," she mouthed and held her hand over her mouth.
"Ch-chairman!" she jumped to her feet, "oh no! I was wrong".
She ran to the opposite end and rushed to help him out of the pool. "Wait... please let me help you," she tried to hold his hand but her hand was quickly slapped away.
She pressed her trembling lips as she watched him swim to another spot, "No," she whispered and ran to that end as his hand slipped.
"I need to help you, your eyes are swollen. You might get injured if I don't".
He sneered, "And who is the reason I will be spotting a bruise?"
She clenched her hands into each other and looked down at her feet, "I am sorry".
He glanced at her for some seconds before getting out of the water and taking out a towel from the cabinet by the wall.
His wet clothes clung to his muscular body like a second skin. Song Ruoxin's cheeks heated up as her gaze fell on his wide muscular back a taunt butt.
She turned her head away and blinked rapidly, face flaming up as he turned around. His brief provided a little cover but the wet clothes still created an outline of his lower body.
His whole six-foot frame was a work of art. She thought that he was very handsome when she met him that day but right now after seeing his body.
He looked way more attractive. He was very fit, with broad shoulders, a tight six-pack, firmly defined thighs, and well-sculpted arms.
She swallowed, "I... It is late, I should get to bed," she brought down her head and ran to the door she hissed and stepped back as her head hit something warm.
"Ah,' she looked up but quickly looked down as her eyes met his light brown eyes. She ignored him and just scrambled to get away.
She leaned on the door hands on her chest as she ran into the room and leaned on the door. It took a few minutes for her racing heart to calm.
Images of his body replayed in her mind as she stepped away from the door. Once again her face flamed up, "no no no," she muttered while slapping her cheeks lightly.
She stopped as she walked past the vanity, "Shit! I am wearing a two-piece!"
She glanced at her low-cut two-piece and let out a string of curses. "I cannot believe that he saw me like this! How am I going to face him tomorrow! You just messed up, Xin Xin".
She had come out with a towel and robe but in her haste to leave, they were left on the bench. As much as she would like to get them, she did not want to meet Qin Shoiming.
She used one of the smaller towels to dry herself before changing into her white PJ. She was too nervous to sleep after tossing and turning for a while she picked up her phone and watched a series of short clips.
She finally fell asleep three hours later. She groaned and turned to the other side as her alarm rang at 6 am.
She shut her eyes tight, hoping to get a few minutes of sleep but it never came. In the end, she gave up and got up from the bed.
She took a fresh set of clothes out of the wardrobe and dropped it on the bed before going into the bathroom to wash up.
She changed into black cargo pants and a yellow blouse. Double ditch braids ran down her back as she stepped out of the room.
She stopped outside at Qin Yumei's room and knocked softly. It was a school day and she needed to make sure that each child got to school on time.
"Come in," a cold voice said from inside.
Song Ruoxin smiled and turned the doorknob. The younger girl was in the process of braiding her hair when the door opened.
Qin Shoiming turned around, brow knitted as their eyes met.
"It is you," Qin Yumei rolled her eyes and turned to the mirror, "What is it".
Song Ruoxin's lips glanced at the girl's badly braided hair, "Do you need me to help you with anything?"
A flush crept up the young girl's cheeks, she let go of the strands of hair and brought down her hand. She turned to the mirror, cleared her throat, and said, "I don't need any help, get out".
Song Ruoxin glanced at the incomplete rough braid and nodded, "Okay, hurry up and get down for breakfast".
She left the room and shut the door behind her. She went to Qin Tao's room next, he was more amiable, unlike his sister.
She helped him wash up and put on his uniform before seating him in front of the mirror and styling his hair.
They met Qin Yumei at the step, Song Ruoxin's eyes immediately went to the young girl's hair. Her hair was free of any braids and in its place was a simple hairpin.
Qin Yumei looked away and just hurried down the stairs. Song Ruoxin's lips twitched as the girl left. She held Qin Tao's hand and led him down the stairs.
She froze at the door, blinked, and quickly tore her gaze away from Qin Shoiming. He stood by the window opposite the table
He spoke in a low tone, his tone was quite official which indicated that it was not a social call. He had his back to her which she felt was a great relieve
A million excuses ran through her mind, anything that could help her get out of there before he saw her.
She glanced down at Qin Tao and bit her lip gently. She needed to leave before he was done with his call.
She let go of Qin Tao's hands and turned around to the door. She was a few steps away when Qin Shoiming said,
"Have a seat, Miss Song".
