S City Airport.
A group of four men of varying ages dressed in well-tailored suits stood by the barricade outside the VIP Entrance of the airport. They rushed forward as Qin Shioming walked out.
"Welcome back, Chairman," they all chorused. The youngest of the four men stepped forward and took the luggage trolley from Secretary Jin.
The four men fell into step with Qin Shoiming and Secretary Jin. Qin Shoiming had been out of the country for nearly two weeks.
Mr Xiao the leader of the small group gave him a quick run down of everything that happened while he was gone.
S City airport was one of the busiest airports in the country with thousands of people communing through the airport daily.
Hence why it was one of the prime spots to advertise one's goods. A lot of companies pay a lot of fortune to get a spot in the airport.
Qin Group was one of such companies, with a lot of subsidiaries under the company. A lot of money was put into marketing.
Qin Shoiming glanced around as they walked through the airport and silently took note of the display screens and banners advertising the brands under Qin group.
His eyes narrowed as he came upon a poster containing the actress Shu Feifei's image. "Why is this poster still up", he brought up his phone and snapped a photo, and sent it to the head of the marketing department.
He glanced at Mr Xiao, "I don't want to see this poster tomorrow!"
"Y-yes Sir. My apologies".
By the time they got to the car, Qin Shoiming was fully updated, he gave the men further instructions and got into his car. He sat at the back while his secretary and driver sat in front.
He opened his suit jacket and loosened the tie. He felt a little stuffy, he unbuttoned the first two bottoms of his black shirt and leaned backward.
Qin Shoiming stiffened a yawn as he shut his eyes and leans his head on the headrest. It has been a busy past few days, he was glad to be back finally.
Secretary looked into the rare view mirror, Qin Shioming looked like he needed a break. He glanced down at the controls on that dashboard and adjusted the temperature.
The rest of the drive was done in total silence, Qin Shoiming shut his eyes and let the steady movement of the car draw him into sleep.
The driver maintained a steady motion until they arrived at the house. Qin Shoiming was deep asleep when the car stopped, secretary Jin oversaw the unloading of his boss's luggage.
M.rs Ma quickly instructed the maids to adjust the air conditioner in the Chairman's room. Qin Shoiming liked to maintain a specific temperature while sleeping.
Once everything was set, Secretary Jin opened the back door, placed his hand on Qin Shiomings broad shoulder, and shook gently.
"Chairman, Chairman," he brought his head closer to Qin Shoiming and patted the other man's shoulder a little hard, he said in a slightly raised voice.
"Chairman, we are home. Chairman, Chairman, please wake up," there was no response he placed both hands on his boss's shoulder and shook hard.
"Chairman!"
Qin Shoiming jolted forward, his eyes opened wide. A few seconds later his eyes narrowed, he opened his mouth to scold the man but stopped as he noticed the familiar compound.
He glanced to the side, "We are home".
"Yes, Sir," Secretary Jin got out of the car and stepped aside.
Qin Shoiming yawned and stretched slightly before stepping out of the car. He nodded to the maids as he walked into the mansion, he stopped just below the stairs and turned to his secretary.
"Have all the departments sent me detailed reports of their activity, especially the finance department".
"Yes, Sir. I will head to the company immediately and coordination everything".
"The report must be submitted before the end of the day. There will be a board of Directors meeting tomorrow at noon to discuss our upcoming projects.
"Make sure that every single department head and manager is present. I will not tolerate any single excuse if anyone is absent, I suggest they look into getting another job".
Secretary Jin's brow twitched slightly but he maintained a straight face as he nodded.
"I will not see you off, Secretary Jin," Qin Shoiming turned around and continued up the stairs. He took off his tie as he stepped into the room and quickly stripped until he was in his towel.
He took a bath and changed into a loose grey Cashmere cowl neck shirt and black full-length trousers.
His eyes were almost dropping as he pulled up the duveé and got into the bed. He slept as his head made contact with the pillow.
Qin Shoiming woke from his sleep at 11:40 pm, the moon was out which brightened up the sky. It was almost midnight and everyone was asleep or so he thought.
His stomach rumbled as he got out of bed, he had not eaten anything since the early breakfast he had before leaving Korea. He rubbed his stomach as he walked into the bathroom.
After he had done his business, he picked up his phone and checked his mail. As instructed Secretary Jin had sent over the reports. The Secretary sent him a message informing him.
He held his phone in one hand and went down to his study. Binders containing the reports were arranged in order of importance and placed on the table.
He sat behind the table and read through each report. There were a few projects that needed his attention.
He pushed back his seat and stood as he felt parched. There was no bottled water in the room, the bottled water finished before he left for his trip. He had been gone for days so the maids did not bother restocking.
He left the room and headed for the kitchen. He paused by the entrance to the indoor pool as he heard a loud splash.
His eyes swept to the clock hanging on the
wall, it was 1:30 am. He frowned and looked to the pool through the glass door, his breath hitched and his gaze fell on someone floating heads down in the water.
"No..." he pushed the door open and ran into the room. He dived into the water without removing his slippers and swam towards the body.
