Overgeared, Demon War Revisited

TLDR: Great Demon War arc sucked and this novel is a reimagining of how I would have loved to see it go. The purpose of this story is reimagining some parts of this major saga. I'll start with how I would have loved to see how Zeratul's fight against Biban and the arrival of Hayate. I can casually talk about items or reference events that weren't present in the original novel since this is a reimagining of the war arc. The style is probably a bit heavier than the original novel since I'm not a fiction writer but hopefully you'll like my reimagining. Overgeared is a really fun novel but the quality of writing dropped significantly during the Great Demon War. There were great moments like Baal vs Grid but the rest was frankly badly-written. No one of consequence died, characters weren't done justice and it was hard to suspend disbelief (500,000 massacre sword was hyped for 800+ chapters only to turn out to be massive L)...

To be honest, the idea is good but the execution is bad. Write in small paragraph and try not to rush so much. Readers can't relate to the mc that way . Give decent information about background for key characters and don't try to cover everything at once. The story has potential like master of tactics, just need editing and some changes

Compared to other authors in this place his grammar is slightly above average, still bad enough to be off putting. Mainly when the author changes pov from third to first person on a whim, He doesn't use the word "of" ever and very rarely as in once every two chapters you might see a pronoun in the wrong place. I think most of above mistakes could be mended if he re-read his chapters and made a quick edit. Besides grammar the story feels rushed in the first chapters, the author wishes to change the world setting, but doesn't take the time to ease the readers into it. There is allways a feeling that there is something missing. He increments new world setting ideas without a care for timing or if they fully fit into the story he is telling.

Definitely quite a interesting and intriguing book especially with how the MC is described and way how he acts around people and pokemon but also his way of thinking and coming up with different ideas and strategies using gestures and signals etc.. not to mention how he joins Team Rocket due to what has happened in his life and even more so by what The Council did to only person he cared about I'm quite intrigued by what will happen next truly have enjoyed and been hooked on this book look forward to getting the chance to read more of this book whenever ur able to get the chance to continue on with it
