EPIC: Path of Demons and Dragons

It's a child isekai story. Using the mc's age to make them very childish and immature. This is highly likely to lead to using stupidity for tension throughout the story. It's also really convoluted in the beginning, with nothing made clear or concise with a bunch of flowery language that doesn't add anything to the story at all, but rather detracts from The quality. It might turn out alright, but the Mc being so childish and unrelateable just feels like the author is trying too hard to make something unique, and it comes off as 8th grade syndrome levels of cringe instead. Even the mcs name is no good. Tldr: Trying too hard to be unique, and ends up as a cringe fest.

it was pretty sad that I wasn't there for the original EPIC. (I couldn't get the feeling of waiting for a new chapter in my classroom.) So I'm grateful that I'm here for this new journey. While Vahn can get on my nerves( but what good character doesn't) and some of his choices I don't agree with but to me he's more like an annoying little brother or big since he was canonically born before me and I know this might seem like glazing but I feel like he's the best FF protagonist there is. Ok being honest it's far from the worst thing to read on webnovel. But it's a sequel to epic which means I've gone into this looking for the same feelings I got in the first chapters of epic which was full of cool powers and great fights, before dropping into a 50/50 smut/story mix after chapter 100ish from memory which is where my interest became a lot more lacklustre. Now trying not to spoil much, the outright lemons are dialed back about 80% or more but that's just them being replaced by fade to blacks and such, as a trade off vahn has already got an expansive group gunning for his bed in the first 20 chapters and it just gets worse from there. The powers are much less creatively shown as of this point in the story, there's not a whole lot of true developmental struggle for vahn in the slightest, not a single fight that I can even remember so far (if they've even been written out in favour of the fic being packed for of honestly awful romance) unlike a number I can still recall from the original to this day (e.g. the solo Rex fight). I'm tempted to mark this as spoiler purely because the plot so far is vahn walks into a room/area, flirting/foreplay ensues, gloss over anything else plausibly interesting and onto the next scene. It's rather disappointing from a writer where I've seen the heights they started from and was genuinely interested to see that quality come back but I haven't seen it yet. I'll keep reading as long as the flicker of hope I have lasts but I do not recommend this at all for people looking for a halfway creative or interesting fanfic cause I can no longer trust that you would find it.

look its an alright fic, My main problem is Mc personality and then him being buddy with issei like good pal always trying to help him. Writting was good the character(mc is an downer).

Despite my initial reluctance to read another work of Ein, seeing EPIC I have no choice but to read it. It is the first fanfic I have ever read and has a special place in my heart even with the unsatisfying ending it got. Anyways to review this story - Writing Quality 5 🌟 There was never a problem with the quality of Ein's writing. - Story Development 4 🌟 The story is progressing a lot faster than it's predecessor which I like. One of the major downside of EPIC was the pacing issue. But that said I do think the romance aspect is rushed. Since it is already written it can't be changed but I hoped the romance to take a stepback for a while longer and focus more on setting the story and scene going. Character Design 5 🌟 It's Vahn. The biggest flaw of Vahn in the previous EPIC was his depression and naivety. which is reasonable with what he went through and has been addressed. But I hope for this Vahn to be more aware of himself and not be a pushover. Updating Stability 5 🌟 2 chaps a day has been promised and delivered. Word Background 4 🌟 Due to the fast pacing I think world building has been compromised a bit. A big strength of the previous EPIC was the world building. note to einlion: please don't make this a pokemon harem. Harem is all fine and dandy but when he gets will every single girl in the verse and smut in every 5 chapters, it gets stale very quickly. Also it would be great if Vahn can have some meaningful friends. some actual male friends.

It's an amazing story just like the other one, but at some times, it can be a bit fast-paced, and the teases and skipping the 18+ scenes is so annoying but other ways I see a good future for the book

At the moment this could qualify as the story that I like the most from ein. The pace is lovely, neither slow nor fast and that is appreciated. The quality of writing is a 10 and the fact that there is a solid protagonist is great and even more so if you add character development and charisma, something that is extremely rare to find in a dxd fic. At the moment they have only a few chapters but let's see how it progresses.

Nice I was waiting for a new harem story from Einlion after I finished his masterpiece"Endless path to infinite Cosmo" I will start giving you some of my stone from now on.

So far the story has been interesting, a bit rushed with the relationships but it's DxD so I understand, the only thing I would say is that this one focuses a little too much on the sexual, of course it's still a good story but I would like more to go into the development of the story, But it's just my personal opinion, as I said it's a good story and I recommend it to anyone.

As someone who has been reading Ein’s work since near the beginning of the original EPIC, I have enjoyed a great majority of their stories, some being great, some being okay, some having issues, some just not being my kind of story, but this story has definitely captured what I loved about the original and seems to be moving in a direction that I very much enjoy. Keep up the fantastic work Ein!

Wow, my friend, it's so good that it's kind of hard to read. I'll give you some context: the demonic society that it presents is by far the closest thing you would imagine, you feel that it's not the society that they present to you in the novel or the anime, it's more raw with the subject of relationships but you can't help but identify with the characters and feel the doubt that it poses to you even though it shows them fleetingly, I think it's hard for me to read because it makes you think about relationships more seriously, although it always doesn't let the protagonist not go deeper into it, I think it touches my sores a lot and that's what's great... friend, great work.
