Countless people derived inside the spacious arena. In a certain country, where the Taekwondo World Cup was organized each year.

Everyone got wind of the bell rang. Then a middle-aged man wore full white with reck necktie stepped in the center of the spherical ring. Come to an end those young men since their battle for the championship round was ended.

And in an instant, the entire arena was engulfed by the audience's and party poopers' raucous cheering. They appeared to be pleased with the passionate match provided by the participants.

Meanwhile, the referee assisted the participants in detaching their battle gear. While the judges carefully tallied the scores based on the hit points that were landed.

After 10 minutes, the British man in a black tuxedo and tinted glasses approached the spherical ring. It was the event host that'll openly declare the winner.

The final scorecard was in his left hand, and the wireless microphone was in his opposite hand.

"Our new Taekwondo World Champion is... Yumiro Gritz, our young prodigy!" The host said cheerfully, and his voice echoed throughout the arena.

As the official referee, he quickly lifted the right hand of the young man who had silky black hair and narrow whiskey eyes.

The newly crowned champion was surprised, blinking his eyes open. And it was because the crowd was yelling his name in unison.

"Yu-mi-ro!"

"Yu-mi-ro!"

"Yu-miro!"

'What?! B-But why? I should be the one to claim that title!' Drake screamed angrily to himself while glaring angrily at Yumiro.

To be more specific, Drake was dissatisfied with the outcome of the match. This prompted him to devise a plan to change Yumiro's life.

However, before Drake proceeded. First, he darted his eyes at his coach, a malicious smile on his face. He appeared to be requesting his coach's approval.

"Drake, this is a fantastic battle. I never expected..."

Yumiro couldn't finish his sentence as Drake was standing in front of him, denying him the opportunity to defend himself.

The healing personnel arrived in the area to save Yumiro Gritz. To provide all necessary first aid treatment. While they waited for the ambulance to arrive.

A young woman with ash-black hair sobbed in the crowd. Yumiro's younger sister was the one who dashed towards her brother after seeing his deteriorating condition.

"Yumiro, my brother! Why didn't anyone help my brother?! Please! Let me see my brother!" She charged her head to the security personnel, allowing her to pass through their guards. However, her strength was insufficient to push them back.

Then the commotion within the large arena died down. They were startled when they heard the ambulance's siren, which had been dispatched to the scene instantly.

They didn't think twice about sending Yumiro to the nearest hospital. As his condition deteriorated.

The Taekwondo World Cup had been over for seven days.

There was a young man inside the peaceful chamber who had just awoken from a deep slumber. He was on the white bed, with the Fowler in his lap. Because it was the most practical position for his situation.

"Room 305's patient has awoken! Someone, please contact his relatives." Said of a foreign blond woman. It was also the nurse who went out of her way to find her coworkers to help her.

"What went wrong?! My vision is far too hazy!" With an apprehensive expression on his face, Yumiro strained on the smooth surface.

"Sir, please don't make any needless motions. It is harmful to your health." A blond lady nurse replied in a courteous tone. As she tried to settle the situation before the doctor arrived,

"Why am I unable to move my legs?! A-A-And why can't my vision return to its previous state?!" Yumiro screamed and inexplicably made moves that could injure the nurses nearby.

"Let's sew him back together! Before he can injure another of us!" Another nurse spoke up quickly.

The magnificent looks of the foreign nurses were insufficient to calm him down. So nurses opted to use the elastic straps to suture his hands.

"Please calm down, Sir! As much as possible we won't like to use the tranquilizer to settle up with your behavior." The blond nurse said as she took a mildly slap on her face

Yumiro was taken aback when he noticed blood flowing from the nurse's potty lips.

Finally, he began to relax, and the nurse gave him some time to assess the situation.

Then, out of nowhere, a four-eyed middle-aged man in a white robe entered the patient's chamber, stethoscope dangling from his neck.

"The Doctor is on his way."

A young foreign nurse stood next to him, dressed entirely in white. He was most likely the one who kept track of all the tests they ran on Yumiro's body.

"Are you Yumiro Gritz?" While reading the context from his diagnosis, the doctor inquired of the young man.

This was the most crucial phase before they read each patient's findings. They wouldn't lead you astray because they deal with thousands of them.

"I'll tell you the truth, kid. Because of the occurrence, your nape and several of your arteries have been severely damaged. So, in order to save your eyes, we performed surgery right away. Fortunately, the operation was successful; nonetheless, vision remains cloudy and distorted. It takes 3-4 weeks for it to completely heal." In a courteous tone, the Doctor described his predicament.

"A-And why can't I move or even feel my legs?" He yelled once more.

"Kid, I'm afraid I have to disappoint you. Your lower body is saved to the best of our abilities, but your neck and spinal cord are gravely shattered..." Because the young man was too young for this, the Doctor didn't want to discourage him. But he couldn't avoid it; he had to confront the facts. "You already have paraplegia, kid. It's a condition in which the messages from your brain or spinal cord are blocked from reaching your lower body."

"I...It can...Can it be cured?" While tears welled up in the corner of his eyes, he inquired.

The Doctor slowly shook his head and closed his eyes at the same time. He was despondent about the young man's prospects.

"Kid, I'm sorry to say that, paraplegia is incurable. However, we can provide a long-term treatment plan that includes physical therapy in all affected regions. Nonetheless, it will be really costly." The doctor said something and pinched Yumiro's leg, which didn't respond.

Yumiro had a nervous breakdown at this time and couldn't help but scream out loud in front of everyone.

"Why am I here?! I didn't make any mistakes?!"

In his perspective, he failed to send his younger sister to the famous Academy, which would have been the beginning of her feeling like she had a valuable existence.

He chewed his lips out of desperation till blood dripped down his chin. "Sorry, Amiya! Yumiro failed as your brother" He frowned his eyebrows and kept saying those words.

Bam!

When a young woman with ash-black hair entered the patient's room, everyone had a peek of their rear. She was gasping for air and looked at her brother with tear-filled eyes. She most likely rushed into this location after receiving the wonderful news.

"Is that Yumiro's younger sister?" "Let's leave them for the time being," The doctor murmured, and the blond nurse nodded her at him eventually walked out of the patient's room.

Amiya dashed over to Yumiro and hugged him tightly. She appeared to be aware of her brother's deteriorating condition. "I'll keep my word! I'll be a good little sister and assist you without hesitation!" That comes from the bottom of Amiya's heart.

Since that day, many tears have been shed, and despite their troubles, no one can break the siblings' deep bonds.

After 4 years, Amiya had reached the age of 14, and Yumiro had reached the age of 16, turning 17 on May 18, 2034. Before, his athletic frame had completely turned into a frail young guy.

"Brother Yumiro, Happy birthday! Sorry. Because I merely made a cupcake for us, it might be your worst birthday yet." Amiya said to her brother, who was sitting in his wheelchair provided by the Taekwondo association. Despite this, the cupcake was topped with a candle.

Yumiro gave her a gentle stroke on the head and grinned.

"Amiya, what exactly are you talking about? Since you're constantly here, this is the nicest birthday I've ever had. Thank you for all of your efforts and sacrifices."

He extinguished the lamp and wished that the world would grant him another opportunity to assist his sister.

Despite this, Amiya had a nasty smile on her face, which Yumiro could see. Because it denotes something.

"What happens next? You'll be late for class if you don't hurry." With a shaky voice, he said.

"Brother! After a month, I had already purchased a game that could alleviate your loneliness if I was not present." Amiya said cheerfully, bestowing a weightless black helmet that could cover the entire head.

"What exactly is this?" Yumiro inquired, as he was unaware of Amiya's gift.

"Amiya, I can't see anything!" Yumiro yelled.

But Amiya didn't respond to his words until he noticed his little sister slowly assisting him to lay on his bed with hazy vision.

Beep!

"Sorry, brother! I need to hurry because the school bus has arrived; just enjoy the game because I spent all of my allowances on it, and I'll be upset if you don't. See you soon!" Amiya exited, then clicked the green button on the right side.

Yumiro was taken aback when the VR helmet began to emit an uncontrollable radiance. However, after a few seconds, a widescreen with intense sounds flashed before his eyes.
