Chapter 130 Withdrawal

Kumogakure.

Raikage Office.

Silence prevailed in the large room with only three figures present in it and two of them heavily bandaged and one a black haired woman in her forties standing at the center with her eyes closed.

"Heavenly Transfer Technique" {A.N: - Space-Time Ninjutsu used by Kumogakure to transfer inanimate objects but can also be used by living organisms if they are durable enough, in the canon third Raikage, fourth Raikage and Tsunade had managed to teleport through this}

Suddenly the woman opened her eyes as a white light flashed in the room, out of nowhere a man known by most of the people in the world appearing in the room.

The man was none other than the Third Raikage who should currently be thousands of miles away at the battle front but had appeared back in the village utilizing the heavenly transfer technique of kumo.

Third Raikage with a solemn look on his face immediately traced around and paused at two bandaged figures with dull faces.

Swish!

Without saying a word, the Raikage appeared before them in an instant and reached towards Ai, his son and placed a finger on his neck though Ai barely moving in response and sitting on the floor just kept looking down with a dull face.

BOOM!!!

"Damn You!!! How dare you do this!!!?"

The glass windows shattered as an explosion seem to take in the office suddenly and Raikage coated with lightning with a furious face cursing out, fuming in rage.

"It's the same with every other shinobi who was left behind in the village, everyone had their chakra stripped off!"

The black haired woman who seemed to have worked as an anchor point for Raikage to teleport at seeing him raging stepped forward to explain.

"I won't forgive him!!!!  I'll never let him walk around freely after all this!! Call all the troops back and order them to head out in search for this man named Yoriichi"

"I need a news about his whereabouts quickly, not even a single of them must return before they find him!!"

Crack!!

At the words of black haired woman Raikage seems to have lost himself to anger completely as with veins popping out on his forehead conveying orders, the walls of the office cracking also due to the immense chakra he was radiating.

Two days ago Kumogakure village was invaded by a red haired man called Yoriichi and single handedly he defeated all the remaining force in the village which included a kage rank expert, Ai, the son of Raikage.

Around three thousand shinobi including Ai and Dodai were stripped off their chakra as well, leaving them weak enough for anyone to kill easily.

Raikage, who to deal with konoha army had sent a squad back for reinforcements was delivered the news about everything that happened and not wasting a moment using the space time ninjutsu he returned to the village instantly.

Raikage's hate for someone has never reached this point and he couldn't wait to get his hands on this guy, who had wiped out one third of kumo forces along with the strongest in the village after him.

"Call the troops? But what about the war with konoha?"

"To hell with war!! Throughout our village's history we've never suffered such a massive loss of shinobi all at once and yet you expect me to sit idly by!"

"That man must pay and that is what's important and given our current situation allowing the war to persist would only lead to further losses among our shinobi which we simply cannot endure.""

 Said the Raikage with a helpless look in his eyes, just days after he started the war he was forced to withdraw from it like a loser and there was nothing he could do to change it.

Now he regretted not listening to the advice of Dodai and others to not to launch a war and just focus on the main culprit, had he not left the village with most of the forces even if that man had attacked he would have only asked for his own death.

Land of Fire.

Near the border in the dense forest was the base of konoha forces sent to stop the invasion of Kumogakure, among the many camps at the center the camp of the commanders.

In the camp,

"What!!? Are you sure!!?"

The shocked eyes of Sarutobi, Nawaki and Sakumo were on a konoha scout standing before them as what he just informed them about left them in state of complete disbelief, Sarutobi just to make sure he heard right asking again.

"Yes Lord Third! Kumo forces are retreating and their route is clearly back to land of lightning"

"Just what happened? There is no way the stubborn Raikage would give in just after a few days!"

At the scout repeating his words Sarutobi found the situation totally confusing as Raikage who seemed to be looking to start a war all this time gave up after laying a siege for a few days. He was expecting this war to last at least two to three years but this, this was totally out of the blue.

"Perhaps something that we are unware of happened which made the Raikage go back, that's the only reasonable explanation behind this."

"Huh!"

Sakumo rubbing his chin shared his thoughts as both Nawaki and Sarutobi couldn't help but nod in agreement, agreeing with his words.

Thud! Thud!

The scout left as the three began to discuss about their next plan but they didn't get much time to discuss as another scout entered the camp but not a scout from land of hot water close to them, but all the way from land of lightning.

"Every single one of them got taken down by the red haired man, I couldn't see how he did that because of the purple barrier that enclosed the whole village but I do remember seeing a red moon in the barrier from which chains came out eventually"

"I witnessed everything from outside the village and when the red haired man left he clearly spotted me but for some reason left without taking any action"

The scout who along with few others was given the mission to keep an eye on any movement in Kumogakure naturally saw the purple barrier and red moon which appeared in the village couple of days ago.

Without wasting a moment, the scout took the route back to inform about everything that happened and finally reached the camp today.

"I see… this explains everything…" Said Sarutobi in a deep voice after listening to his report, finally able to understand why the Raikage had retreated.

"So the man who truly started the war put an end to it as well" Chipped in Nawaki as he knew that the reason why Raikage got an excuse to start this war was because of the red haired man who had attacked Shimogakure and now the very man became the reason that it ended.

"It's not ended yet but I guess Iwagakure are now truly out of luck… Onoki's face after hearing the news of Kumo's retreat would have been worth seeing!"

"Haha!!"

Saying that Sarutobi imagining the angry face of Onoki couldn't help but laugh out a little, even Sakumo and Nawaki not able to hold back and laughing along.
