"Excuse me, are you Adam?" Amaya asked as she made her way through the fine restaurant where she was told he would be.
Adam, the eldest at 25, stood tall with a lean, athletic build. His dark hair, slightly tousled, and piercing blue eyes conveyed a hint of rebellion. Adam's handsome features were often set in a contemplative expression, reflecting his internal struggle between following his own path and societal expectations. He tended to dress casually, favoring jeans and leather jackets, signaling his desire to break free from convention.
"Yes, that's me. Do I know you?" Adam responded.
"Yes and no. I have a proposition for you. I need you to marry me for six months."
"What? Are you serious?"
"Completely. Here’s the contract. It’s all legal and binding."
"Why on earth would I agree to this? We don’t even know each other."
"That’s irrelevant. What matters is that I need this arrangement for personal reasons. You’ll be compensated well, and there’s plenty of time after marriage to get to know each other."
"I’m not interested in money. This is insane. Why would I marry you?"
"You don’t need to understand the reasons. Just know that it’s critical for me. And you’re the best option I have."
"Sorry, but I’m not signing," Adam said plainly.
"I was hoping it wouldn’t come to this, but I have ways of making your life very difficult if you refuse. Think carefully before you say no."
"Are you threatening me?" Adam grinned. "Do you by any chance know who I am?"
"Call it what you want. Sign the contract, and we both get what we need. Refuse, and you’ll regret it. And I don't give a damn who you are," Amaya said, clearly threatening him. His identity wasn't important at the moment. She urgently needed a solution to her problem.
"This is crazy... you're crazy. And kind of interesting. But I'm not interested," Adam said and walked out
Amaya stood there silently, watching him leave. She had to get him to marry her or else....
