-Friday: Day 4-
'Time to wake up,' Zoro shook the walls of Ryoto's consciousness. 'Training starts now!'
'Wh-What,' Ryoto asked while half asleep.
'The sun is rising, time to go for a run,' Zoro explained.
Ryoto complained, but Zoro forced Ryoto to do something or he would forcefully take the kid's body and go by himself.
Now that two souls shared a body, the body was overwhelmed by the many changes happening to it. Based on who was controlling it, the body's systems would regulated bodily functions differently, and whoever caused the most benefitting changes to it would slowly but surely taint the body with their presence, weakening the other's control over it. That in turn meant that dominating the other soul was possible, but this fact remained a mystery until later on. And for the last 3 days, the biggest influence had been Zoro.
Zoro managed to gain control over the body for only a split second, taking this chance to jump out of bed and prepare for the jog Ryoto needed to go through.
'Yeah, yeah, I'm up now. I will get ready and jog the course chosen based on the time we have until class and the distance you said would push me past its limits.'
They prepared to leave just before sunrise. Ryoto then jogged controlling the body. It was hard, more than 2 hours of jogging after a long time of no physical activity.
'I sweat too much, I can't possibly go to school like this,' Ryoto complained, but he very well could go. In a class of young, teen-age boys, the smell of sweat was evident and wouldn't make much of a difference when another boy smelled like it. Luckily for him, his class had a kid with an odour-based Quirk and could every once in a while spray the class with a refreshing scent of whatever he wanted to produce.
At school, one could observe how 3 particular students looked exhausted and sleep deprived. Izuku, Bakugo and Ryoto had just started their training in order to prepare for U.A's entrance exam.
'Ho! They started to train as well,' Zoro pointed out in amusement. 'Though, I don't understand why Quirkless would train. You can't win with pure physicality. Quirks that aren't related to strength still power up the whole body. So, he will never be able to overpower another male Quirk user.'
"You too, huh,' Bakugo struck up conversation at lunch break.
"Training? I guess so," Ryoto answered eating whatever the cafeteria served that had high calories and protein.
Bakugo looked a bit depressed, but the way he spoke was eager and goal-orientated. "I don't think we exchanged numbers. We should train together sometime."
"I need to buy some supplies for my training. I'm going to buy a cheap Katana and some supplements today," Ryoto informed.
'Why are you oversharing? I don't think he cares about that shit,' Zoro questioned.
"Why a Katana," Bakugo continued the conversation, clearly probing Ryoto for more information.
'Don't-,' Zoro was cut off.
"I can increase a tool's cutting and cleaving capabilities by 10 with my Quirk," Ryoto spilled the details about his Quirk.
"Sounds like a great Quirk, but mine is a hundred times better than yours. This Quirk will beat All Might one day and make me the Number 1 Hero," Bakugo declared.
After school, Ryoto went straight to a pawn shop.
'Give me the body, kid. Let the swordsman pick his tool,' Zoro demanded.
Inside the shop, many Katanas were displayed, most of which were mass-produced at some point in time, so they lacked in Quality. Other kinds of blades were also displayed, but Zoro was only interested in Katanas for obvious reasons.
"Welcome to Ronin, how may I help you," a man in his fifties approached Ryoto.
Ryoto stood in front of a barrel where dozens of Katanas were placed inside it while sheathed.
"I'm looking for a durable, sharp and well-balanced Katana. The only important thing is the blade itself, I'm not here to buy eye candy," Zoro made the man aware of his intentions.
The man, the store's owner, understood that Katanas with pretty handles, sheaths and painted blades weren't what Ryoto was looking for.
"If you want, I can show you a couple of Katanas that may interest you," the man said as he grabbed Ryoto's shoulder, guiding him to a wall where Katanas were placed on. Yet, when he tried to move Ryoto, he noticed that Ryoto was still looking at the barrel with the old Katanas that stood there since the opening of the store.
At the wall, the owner showcased all the Katanas that fit Ryoto's liking. Doing cutting test on paper and such was the owner's usual sales tactic, but that didn't convince Zoro at all. 'The kid would've probably fallen for the cutting test...'
"I don't see any good blades. They're not even worth the money," Ryoto said as he moved to the barrel he observed before. "But, how about selling me this one for half its price," Zoro started negotiating for a Katana that was inside a broken sheath where even the blade's rust was visible.
"Are you sure that's what you want," the owner asked just to be sure. "These swords are only for decoration."
"Judging by the dusty price tags, they were actually meant for sale." Ryoto spoke, now in control of the body again.
"Um... Alright. No returns and for half the price," the owner agreed and sold Ryoto the rusted blade.
After exiting the store, Ryoto mentally demanded an answer for the purchase of a seemingly broken blade.
'Shut it, kid. You are questioning the greatest swordsman's reasoning for his choice of weapon. If you had more money, I'm sure we would be able to find a traditional swordsmith that would craft us a blade that could keep up with our training and Quirk. Beggars not choosers, right,' Zoro scolded Ryoto and belittled his tantrum with Ryoto's own words he got from his memories.
'Sorry,' Ryoto apologized mentally, following up with another more logical question. 'What are we going to do about the rust and the broken pieces?'
'I'm the greatest swordsman, I know how to fix that type of stuff. Be it a rusted blade or a blade with no hilt and sheathe, I can fix them, and that is also what it means to be a proper swordsman. So, if you want to learn how to care for a Katana, watch what I'm going to do. We need some things before that. With the money we saved on the Katana, we can probably afford the tools to restore the blade to its former glory. You will also see why I picked this exact Katana.'
And surely, what Zoro said was right, the money they saved was more than enough to buy the things necessary for the sword restoration. 'At least we don't have to dance like a fool anymore.'
Zoro took control and started the restoration process of the Katana. The issue with the rusty blade was tackled first. He worked on the restoration for hours. Even hours after midnight, Zoro forced the feeble body of Ryoto to stay awake, training his arms and his stamina on the side.
-Saturday: Day 5-
With only 2 hours of sleep, Ryoto was once again forced to wake up and go jogging. Zoro slept, mentally drained from the hours he put into the barely-finished restoration.
And after a three-hour jog, Zoro took over to continue the restoration, making sure that Ryoto observed closely.
-Sunday: Day 6-
The same routine. Go jogging, restore the blade, do some body-weight exercises and take the supplements they also bought on Friday.
I'm undecisive about the whole controlling the body thing. Do you want me to just say Zoro when he does some actions while controlling the body?
