Marvel: Dishonored

In a jail cell lies a man wearing ragged clothes; cases of torture can be seen in his body as his body is riddled with injuries and blood dying around him.

He is lying down, feeling he has lost everything and is in a position where he can't do anything.

"Why, why did this happen?" He utters as he feels the betrayal, the loss of his loved ones.

"Damon, why?"

A few weeks ago, the man in the cell was with his family. He had come home from his last assignment in Afghanistan.

His last mission, which had happened for five months, was an illegal covert operation that he had not known. His brother, his comrade, Damon, knew about it.

Damon was the lieutenant for the mission, and Andrew was the team's captain.

When everything was over, Andrew knew something was wrong with this mission as they were doing things he had never done.

He dragged his targets from their houses in front of their families and killed them after torturing them.

He knew the day he left after the mission was over that they had done the one thing he told them he would never do in his life.

He still remembers the plight he could see in the eyes of his victims. Though he could not understand the language, he knew they were saying they had family and would never do anything to put them in harm and that they did not do what we were thinking.

The day before his family was killed, Andrew had been gathering intelligence, and he lost himself once he saw what he had done.

They had killed innocents and used the bodies they had buried to use as drug carriers.

He shook when he read it.

The next day, Andrew woke up to see the body of his wife Emma and his daughter Isabella lying in a pool of blood and his brother, the one he trusted with his life in any situation holding the gun that killed his family.

He could not process what had happened and screamed in pain when he saw his wife and daughter.

Before even he could go to them, he was knocked out, and the world knew that man had killed his wife and daughter brutally, was caught, and was on trial.

When he woke up, he saw his friend looking at him coldly as if all the days, months, and years they had known each other were nothing to him.

"Why, Andrew, why did you have to go snooping around?"

"I will kill you, Damon,"

Damon started to laugh maniacally, and he looked as if he was seeing an idiot.

"You will be dead in three days, Andrew. You see, this whole mission was something I planned with the higher-ups to make money, but you and your code were about to blow it up to the whole world. I could not have that now, could I? When I have everything I wanted in my life, you plan to destroy it. How can I allow that? Sadly, I had to kill Emma and Isabella. I hated you when you married her. I was in love with her, and she said no to me when I proposed, and you both married and had a kid. IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE MY KID. SHE SHOULD BE MY WIFE. YOU RUINED EVERYTHING. YOU TAKE EVERYTHING THAT WAS TO BE MINE. THAT'S WHEN I DECIDED TO KILL EMMA. IF I CAN'T HAVE HER, NO ONE CAN."

He started to beat Andrew continuously.

Andrew did not yell or scream in pain, his eyes were hollow, but if one looks deep into his eyes, one can see the rage in them.

The next day he was put on trial, not only for the murder of his wife and daughter but also for smuggling drugs using the corpses of the innocents they had killed in the mission.

He was marked as a Traitor to the country he had fought for.

And now he was, lying down in the jail cell, his final day before being killed.

"One chance, just one chance so I can put that power fucking bastard in the place he belongs…" He uttered, tears dripping down his eyes.

"Emma, Isabella…" tears roll down his eyes as he remembers his wife and daughter.

"Damon," He utters in a wrathful tone.

"Even if I die, I will come for you…" his fist is bleeding as his nails dig into his palm.

"And how are you going to do that, Andrew?"

Andrew was startled to hear the voice behind him, and when he turned, he could not understand what was happening.

Everything around him started crumbling, and he felt himself free-falling before landing on a huge black rock. He did not feel any pain at all.

The air around him was like a mist of blue. He could feel foreign energy entering his body, but he could not think what it was. The whole area around him felt like a void; he thought he was being sucked into and stopped as he heard the voice again.

"Do enlighten me on how you are going to do that?"

He turned to his right to see a man formed through the particles.

In a second stood a man with black hair that seemed to be the colour of Obsidian, his eyes fully dark, and if you look closely at it, you feel yourself sunk into it. He was wearing the clothes of a military officer of old age, and his skin was pale, but Andrew could feel the danger. A dreadful aura surrounded him, and dark mist was sent repeatedly from his back. It was like a coat to the man, and he was coming towards him, more like floating towards him as he talked.

"A man who was given birth 26 years ago on the same day as today. He made all the things that every man in this world has done, lived, love, anger, sadness, and many more that every being in the world has felt. He has gone through all that, but not many go through betrayal like him. The man has lived with the principle of not harming innocents, yet he did for his country without knowing. The man decided to expose everything but had forgotten he had a family. The man then lost everything, his family, and the one he says brother, comrade to be the one to end it all. The man knows it was not only his friend but many more who had destroyed his life. And now the man says he will kill even if he dies."

Andrew was vigilant as he could say the being in front of him knew everything about him. He felt like this being has watched him every day, hour, minute, and second.

A slight smirk grew upon the being in front of him.

"I am here to give you an offer."

"Offer?" Andrew asked.

"Yes, it's been a long time since I have done this, the last one I did was for an Empress named Emily, and now I have chosen you to see what you can do with the offer that I provide as your life will play a pivotal role from now on."

"Who are you?" Andrew asked with a bit of fear as he felt like a tower of pressure suddenly started to envelop him.

"The Outsider."

"What will it be?" Andrew felt a searing pain come into his hand as he finished asking. HE felt the pain come from the inside of his hand.

"My Mark."

"A force from the world, a force from the beyond, and now this force will serve your will. Use this newfound power, my offer for you. If you say no, I will remove it, and you can die, and your soul will be in anguish and hatred forever."

Andrew felt power flow in him as the mark was being created upon his left hand.

"Come find me."
