CHAPTER 23

Andrew was now looking like an Eagle waiting to get his prey.

He was waiting for an opportunity to get to the Elevator as guards and the hunters were taking turns scoping the area.

He was patient and waiting.

He still had his HEART out and was pointing it in different directions in search of Runes.

He then found out the heartbeat increased to the right side of the second floor.

He could see guards guarding each room on the second floor.

He used Blink and reached near a curtain covering a window and hid using it.

The guard who was close to him felt something but he could not pinpoint what it was and shrugged thinking it could have been the wind.

Andrew used Domino and connected the minds of the guard close to him and one at a 5-meter distance. Due to him waiting patiently his Mana had already reached 100%.

Now it went down by 25% and got increased by 20% and solidified itself at 95%.

He used Blink again and appeared in front of the guard and the guard all he saw was a Skeleton Mask breathing down in front of him.

He stood still in fear due to the sudden appearance of this and before he could do anything a hand grabbed his head and slammed him to the ground.

The same thing happened to the other guard who was connected with him through Domino and this small commotion was heard by the other guards who were on this side.

Andrew had his Dark Vision active and was able to see two guests inside the room hiding behind what seemed like a sofa.

He entered stealthily and walked to the left, the opposite side of the Sofa, and opened the closet to get the Rune. Now counting, he had 5-Runes in his Inventory and one more and he will unlock Bend Time.

His Dark Vision showed signs of going inactive and once it did he used it again and now he could see a few guards outside the room.

There was a window in the room and Andrew quickly used it and got out. He climbed above and waited for the guards to leave.

Once he was out, he saw what was going on here.

'They have completely blocked off the area. They still have the light going in a semi-circle. I have to cut the power to that.'

He turned to the back of the Mansion to see a helicopter.

'I did not expect for them to even get a Helicopter. I have to destroy that.'

He headed close to the edge of the Mansion's roof.

He took his crossbow and aimed it at the propeller and shot out and he did not stop and kept doing it 4 more times within 4 seconds.

The arrows hit the propeller and the fourth one made a hole and the fifth one destroyed the part.

The guards who were watching the area were shocked to see the propeller being destroyed within seconds and panic rose in them.

Andrew did not stop and this time he took out 7 sleep darts and aimed at each of the guards and shot.

All seven of them in a span of 10 seconds after being shot by the sleep darts lost their consciousness.

He brought out the Inventory and saw how much Arrow and Sleep Darts he has and could see it was plenty.

'Now they will not have the means to escape except a secret pathway through their safe room if it has one. We did not see such routes and I hope we did not miss out.'

In the Safe Room.

"Mother, I have taken everything we need, we can leave through the air," Zavez said and was carrying a suitcase in his hands.

Christine who heard her son turned to him and said, "We are not leaving until he is dead. We are not cowards."

Zavez sighed hearing his mother.

"Then today we either live or die," he said.

His mother internally said, 'Sorry son, only you will die today. I have many things that I can't live without and if the cost is you, I will gladly pay it.'

Zavez is not a fool as well and knew what his mother was thinking. He was using her as a means to end Andrew and he came to know from his uncle that it was his mother who killed her husband, his father, in an accident and made it so their company's competitors did it.

Zavez was someone who might be a coward but he is someone who will know all about his family, friends, and enemies. He knew when to fight and when to run and now his instinct told him to run but it also told him he will be able to win the fight today and that's why he is staying otherwise he would have already left his mother in the dust.

As this was going on, Andrew had reached back to the same Chandelier and now he got an opportunity after waiting for 5 minutes.

There was an interval when they switch and that interval is what he was waiting for.

In the beginning, they were all moving randomly so it was risky for him to move and that's why he waited patiently.

One of them here took charge and sort out a plan and now they were all following it.

'3… 2… 1…' He disappeared using Blink and reappeared 10 meters before the door.

Two guards who entered all saw a silhouette and readied their weapons and shot. But Andrew had already disappeared and came close to the door and in a quick motion opened and entered it and threw three smoke grenades.

The moment it landed smoke filled the hall which distracted all the guards on the second floor and the first floor.

All the guards who heard the gun sound became alert.

The ones on the second floor could have seen Andrew if not for the Smoke from the Smoke Grenades covering their sight and since they are using Night Vision goggles their range of sight also decreased.

Andrew rushed to the elevator and entered the code.

Near the Safe Room, the guards who were guarding it, saw the elevator closing the doors.

"No one should know the code other than Mam, her son, and the Head," said one of the guards.

"Both of them are here and the Head said he will not come down," said the other guard.

They both looked at each other and readied their weapons.

One of them uniquely knocked on the door and this alerted the guards who were Christine and Zavez to become alert.

"Mam, Sir, please stay inside that room and only come out when we ask you to. I will knock on the room door like this, sir."

He then did a knock-off 2 times and 5 times and 3 times with a second of the interval between them.

The guard then took a gun in his hands and a knife from his ankle and proceeded to give them to them.

"We have it inside, I will take care of it. Yell, if you fail," Zavez said and brought his mother to the room and locked it.

"Mother stay behind the bed and do not move a muscle for the next few minutes," Zavez ordered coldly.

His mother was afraid but did not talk back and did what Zavez asked her to do.

Though both of them had a plan of their own.

Andrew entered the Elevator and pressed the button that showed SG.

The two guards who were outside the Safe Room, saw the elevator coming down and waited.

It reached and the doors of the elevator opened.
