CHAPTER 19
A jet could be seen coursing through the sky at a high speed.
There were three people inside it.
Two were sitting in the front. One is a man maneuvering the plane, the other is a woman guiding him through a tablet in her hands.
The last one could be seen standing behind them as he was going through something in front of him that was similar to a screen that couldn't be seen by the other two.
These three were none other than Barton, Natasha, and Andrew himself.
The screen had a heading that stated Inventory.
Below that there were a few items where each item was shown in a square-shaped box.
One was a Crossbow, then Arrows, Sleep Darts, and then Smoke Grenades and each of them had a count near to it.
He had a sword hanging down toward his left and a mask attached at the center of his chest.
"We will soon be there," said Natasha.
Andrew went and stood near her.
"This is the layout of the area. This whole area is owned by Zavez's mother, and the last house is where Zavez is residing, his mother included. She started to fortify the place more once she knew what had occurred from Zavez."
"We will be hovering in this location and you can use the parachute and once you are in a distance close to your range of that Space step or something to land on the ground. I believe you don't want anyone to see a parachute heading toward them right. Will this be fine or should we land somewhere?" Natasha explained and asked Andrew.
Andrew was seeing the location on the tablet screen that she was showing.
"That location is fine. Just keep hovering and I will take care of everything else. You guys depart and land in a location where no one can see you and can you hack into the cameras and give me a count of how many there are in the whole area?" asked Andrew.
"Give me a minute," said Natasha as she started to hack into the cameras.
"You sure you don't need another set of hands?" asked Barton.
"No, this is my war and I intend to complete it by myself," said Andrew with his eyes showing his resolve.
Barton sighed. He wanted to help him as well but decided not to as he knew once Andrew decided he won't change his mind.
"There are a total of 127 guards, 7 Police cars with each of them having 2 or 3 Police officers in them. Though they are stationed close to the entrance of the area. Other than that, it seems Zavez's mother is holding a party for a few important clients of hers in her house."
"Zavez is also in the Party. You have to be careful as you move. Since you are disrupting the cameras, we will not have an eye on you. Take this," Natasha handed a device to Andrew.
"Press this and we will know where you are. Once you complete your mission, press it, or if you aren't able to complete your mission of your in a situation where you know you can't escape, press it and don't let your pride and rage take over you when you know you are in a position of defeat, do you understand?"
Andrew nodded his head.
"Alright, suit up then"
A few minutes later.
They are now close to the location. Andrew took a parachute and wore it on his back.
"Andrew, get ready and be careful, and once you have finished, we will be in the location we showed you," said Natasha.
"Okay," Andrew replied.
The Quinjet started to open in the back. Andrew felt the cold air hitting his face.
He turned to see both Natasha and Barton. They did as well.
Their eyes seem to contain worry and Barton was the first one to speak, "Good Luck and be careful."
Andrew nodded his head and turned to Natasha as she was about to speak.
"Don't forget to press the button and be careful," she said.
Andrew acknowledged and moved close to the edge.
He took the mask that was on his chest and brought it to his face.
He turned to see them and said, "I will be back,"
He wore the mask and jumped.
"We will be waiting," said Barton as he saw Andrew jump.
Andrew felt the cold air on the mask.
As he saw the buildings coming close, he pulled the switch and the parachute opened. He maneuvered the parachute as he got close and to know less than 60 feet from the first building, he released the parachute and used Blink.
If it was his luck or not, as he reached the place where he used Blink and went down, he saw someone walking on the roof of the building and he was exactly 10 feet below him.
He used his hidden blade on his left arm as he got close, he struck.
The hidden blade went through the guard's head and his body down along with Andrew landing on the back of the guard.
Both his leg broke the guard's spine as it landed due to the force and the hidden blade lodged itself on the ground through the guard's head.
A perfect Air Assassination.
Andrew got up and he retracted the hidden blade. He used Dark Vision to make sure no one was close and his luck no one else was there on the roof other than the one lying down.
He took the man's sniper and stored it in his inventory.
The place that Andrew had to get to was a kilometer from here and there were many buildings on both sides.
He had to skip two buildings and at the end of the third building, he would be able to see the mansion where Zavez was residing. He could see that all the lights were on in the mansion from where he was standing.
Andrew then took the device he had kept in his chest and pressed the switch.
All the cameras in the surrounding 3km radius had turned off.
The moment he did this, in one of the rooms in the mansion all the screens turned black one by one and this caused panic to rise in all of them who were in the room.
Alarms started to ring in the mansion and all the guards who held a mic received a message to be alert for any intruder.
Noticing this Andrew pressed the switch again and the visual of the cameras returned on the screen.
This made them relax thinking it might have just been a malfunction.
'I did not expect them to have alarms and since there are 127 guards roughly 60 of them will be in the mansion. The rest should be in these buildings as the guests will be residing in them and the ones working in the company will also be living in these buildings.'
'How were they able to get 127 guards or bounty hunters…'
That thought struck Andrew.
'They should have commented on the chances of me being here as well in someplace. This could be troublesome. What if there are some of them living in these buildings? What if they are just waiting for me?'
He calmed down and took a breath.
'Why don't I take the heart out it will help me in identifying them?'
As Andrew thought he took the heart out and the moment it came out it started to beat faster.
"A rune is here?"
Since the heartbeat was faster, he believed it to be in the building he is now standing at the roof off.
He went to the door on the roof and opened it.
He got down slowly and had his Dark Vision active.
He could see 2 of them patrolling on the left.
'It's time to try Domino out'
He had unlocked Domino after he got 2-Runes in the cave.
He hid behind a wall and sneaked to see the two of them.
He pressed the switch and the cameras went off and this time it will be permanent as Andrew was not bothered about the alarms.
"The alarms rang out again, be careful," one guard said and the other nodded.
Andrew then used Domino and he could see a white smoke upon the heads of both of the guards.
He used Domino on the first guard and then on the second guard quickly as they grew apart.
He saw the mana go down by 25% for the second time.
He then walked silently and went toward the one who turned left.
He reached the guard who stood and watched through the window which showed the road below.
Andrew started to choke the guard.
The guard tried to get off Andrew's hold but he could not as Andrew increased the pressure.
He slowly started to lose consciousness.
As Andrew was choking the guard the other guard who turned right felt the same as the guard he was choking.
The other guard was able to move albeit slowly as he felt no air entering his lungs.
He turned to see a man in black choking his friend.
He could not comprehend how the same was happening to him as well as there was no one there doing the same.
He felt his consciousness leave as he saw his friend go down.
Andrew turned back to see the other guard looking at him with wide eyes as he slowly lost consciousness.
'This is good. I should upgrade to the next level as the count for it will increase though the only issue is the amount of Mana, I would need to use it for the third time.'
He then dragged both of them to the roof and placed them with the one who was dead.
He then went back and took his heart as he navigated where the heartbeat increased in.
He soon stood in front of one of the rooms where the heartbeat was high and other than that Andrew could see a rune as well. He also saw two people inside in a lying position.
Andrew put the handle on the door and tried to open it and it did which shocked him.
'Are they not bothered to even lock their house door?'
Andrew slowly walked and he needed to be as low in sound as possible as he did not want to wake up the two people sleeping in their room.
He opened another door and headed in.
He walked near to the Rune which was inside a closet.
'How did these two even find a rune? Or is it possible it is in a different form? But I see the same size as the previous ones? Or can't they see them? That's not possible.'
He opened it and saw the Rune.
He took it and stored it in the Inventory.
He slowly went back the same way he came in and was now out.
He then rushed to the roof and used the heart again.
The Heartbeat was faster but not like the previous time.
'There is another Rune?'
'Should I collect the Runes first or go after Zavez? If I go after Zavez, I don't think I will be able to return and collect the runes.'
'I will keep going towards Zavez and if the Heart points me towards a Rune in the direction, I will collect it as I need more Runes to unlock Bend Time and other Abilities.'
With that Andrew used Blink and reached the next building.
