Synopsis

After waking up in the body of the protagonist of Undertale, the newly named Frisk has some growing up to do. He wants to ensure everyone gets home safely, but how can he do that when he can't even SAVE himself. *Definitely Spoilers Below* The MC wakes up in frisks body but without the power of Determination. He will have to fight and outsmart Flowey who still has control over the timeline in order to get the good ending. Used Worm CYOA V6 to come up with the basic premise of the story. The first part will almost be 100% Undertale. Credit for the Cover goes to the game Undertale and me with a really bad Paint 3D job.

Chapter 1Awakening

*Yawn*

In a room at the bottom of a certain familiar hole in the ground, lying in a large patch of yellow flowers that gathered in the center, sat a child. This child, who looked 12 at most, had brown hair that fell to their shoulders with short and choppy bangs. They seemed to be wearing a purple-striped blue sweater along with blue pants that ran to their worn brown shoes. This child also seemed to be waking up from a very restful sleep. With one final stretch that signaled their awareness of the outside world, the child opened their heterochromatic purple-yellow eyes and sat up.

"What?" they whispered out as they looked at their surroundings in confusion. Their gaze continued to wander around tiredly until it came to rest on their body.

"What!"

This jolted the child out of the fog of sleep and they swiftly jumped to their feet. They stood there for a good while, examining their surroundings and body in equal measure.

"I'm… Frisk?" Frisk questioned confusedly, "No, my name is..." Frisk seemed to ponder this for a couple of seconds before giving up.

*Sigh*

"I can't remember my name, but I can still remember everything else about my life. What sort of cliche reincarnation BS is this?" Frisk huffed to himself before starting to try and walk while thinking. This was slightly hindered by the fact that he was now much smaller than before. When he went to sleep, he had been 6 feet tall and 17 years old. Now Frisk had to learn how to walk while maybe 5 years younger and definitely more than a foot shorter.

After a solid 3 minutes of awkwardly walking and running around the cavern that he found himself in, Frisk had finally gotten the hang of it. It was only thanks to the memories he would experience every now and then, which seemed to be of Frisk's life before falling into the underground.

"God, I'm in Undertale"

It had just hit him, and honestly, Frisk did not want to think about the full implications of his situation. Sure, he'd played and enjoyed the pacifist route (as well as watched the genocide route on YouTube), the characters were entertaining, and the universe was intriguing, but...

"Can I even measure up to them?"

The original Frisk went through so much and forgave just as much as well. It was their ability to make friends and stay determined that really saved the day in the end. Before waking up here, Frisk only really had a couple of friends and wasn't the best at making new ones. But really, could he do anything other than the pacifist route? Maybe if he didn't have future knowledge and was just attacked randomly, but now that he knows the situation and character of the monsters…

"I'll just have to try my best."

And with his decision made, Frisk looked towards the exit of the cavern he was in. Flowey should be in the next room, and honestly, Frisk was nervous. It should just be a basic tutorial fight, but he hadn't been in a life or death fight before. Even if he hoped death didn't truly mean the end, he couldn't be 100% sure now that he was here instead of the original Frisk. And with that sobering thought, he crossed the gateway into the next room.

The room Frisk entered was very similar to the one he had woken up in. The greatest difference was the single yellow flower popping out of the ground in the center of the room. If Frisk had to describe Flowey, it would be surprisingly cartoonish. Those eyes and mouth on a cute yellow flower really sold the whole innocent routine, even if Frisk knew it was BS.

"Howdy! I'm FLOWEY. FLOWEY the FLOWER! Hmmm... You're new to the UNDERGROUND, aren'tcha? Golly, you must be so confused. Someone ought to teach you how things work around here! I guess little old me will have to do. Ready? Here we go!"

Frisk didn't really know what to do at this point. Should he talk? Probably not, but it was surprising how quickly Flowey got to the point without even waiting for a response. He didn't get much of a chance to decide because just then the shadows in the room lengthened and the already sparse lighting seemed to dim. Frisk was surprised when a glowing purple and yellow light shone from his chest and looked down to see a heart had appeared. Frisk didn't have any time to contemplate the meaning of this before his attention was drawn back to Flowey.

"See that heart? That is your SOUL, the very culmination of your being! Your SOUL starts off weak, but can grow strong if you gain a lot of LV. What's LV stand for? Why, LOVE, of course! You want some LOVE, don't you? Don't worry, I'll share some with you!"

Yeah right, like I'll fall for that, Frisk thought to himself while five spinning balls of energy appeared around Flowey. They were around the size of a golf ball, and he eyed them warily.

"Down here, LOVE is shared through... little white... "friendliness pellets." Are you ready? Move around! Get as many as you can!"

*Ziip*

The pellets flew surprisingly fast through the air towards Frisk's location. With a startled lunge, Frisk dodged out of the way of the first pellet that flew at him. He was barely able to dodge the next 3 as well, but the final pellet came in at a different angle and was going to hit him. Frisk desperately put his arms out to block it and reflexively shut his eyes, preparing for pain.

*Ping*

The most he felt was a small impact against his forearm, and Frisk opened his eyes just in time to see the pellet deflecting off a shimmering purple and yellow barrier that seemed to cover his arm.

"Wow! You are one interesting human aren'tcha? You knew from the start that I was going to get you, huh?" Flowey's face morphed into a surprisingly frightening demonic grin. Frisk used the time Flowey was talking to get back to his feet and readied himself to dodge again. "Well, it doesn't matter. In this world, it's kill or BE killed. I simply can't let an opportunity like this pass me by!"

Frisk looked around and saw that he was now surrounded by dozens of white pellets.

"Die!" Flowey screamed and then started to laugh as the pellets closed in.

"Damn, that is one creepy flower," Frisk muttered as he put his arms up again. He was pretty sure this was about the time that Toriel came to save the player, but if it wasn't, maybe he could do that barrier thing again to make the attacks do no damage.

Just as it seemed like the attacks would hit, a massive fireball came flying at Flowey, crashing into the ground around him and kicking dust up into the air. Frisk thought he saw a shape vanish into the ground, but he wasn't sure. By the time the dust settled, Flowey was nowhere to be seen, so Frisk turned his attention to the large goat-like monster that had to be Toriel.

"What a terrible creature, torturing such a poor, innocent youth. Ah, do not be afraid, my child. I am TORIEL, caretaker of the RUINS. I pass through this place every day to see if anyone has fallen down. You are the first human to come here in a long time. Come! I will guide you through the catacombs."

"Ah, Thanks for $&**Q*4()%TQ**********************************************************************

helping me out there…"

Frisk paused, and his eyes widened at the sight of the hole he barely remembered falling down.

"What? I'm back in the starting room. How?"

Looking around and trying to think about what happened, Frisk was at a loss. He didn't remember doing anything to load a save. In fact, he hadn't even seen any way he could load a. save.. if... he…. wanted….. to...

Frisk looked down at his chest, specifically at the spot where his SOUL had glowed from. Specifically, where his PURPLE and YELLOW SOUL had glowed.

"Oh, no."

That would be nice as my job is really annoying. https://patreon.com/StickSwinger This story is my first wish fulfillment. It will be a little different from Genshin Impact's story, since the game is updated so often and things are added or changed. Currently it's patch 2.3 and I have been playing the game since it came out. So I am following the story closely, but... It will not always be the same story. I'll do my best to get as close to the original as possible with my writing skills. I will primarily focus on adding new things as well. The romance will be slow, but we will get there. Smut is out around chapters 120, mostly to develop romance before going into it. Harem will be expanding, but at a decent rate... I want to develop the characters first before I undergo another harem expansion.

The Synthesis Wizard

In a world where elements lay barren and powerful wizards had abandoned their homeland a millennium ago to explore the multiverse, Sunan found himself reincarnated as a noble scion stripped of his title. This world, once brimming with magic and wonder, had fallen into a desolate state, and wizards had become mere legends. Sunan was acutely aware that after a thousand years, the elements would awaken once more, heralding the return of the wizards and ushering in a new era of prosperity. He understood that his path was clear: he must train diligently to become a wizard himself and survive until this glorious age arrived. “Resources are scarce?” he mused, determination flickering in his eyes. “Then I’ll just have to synthesize them myself.” With that thought, he activated the Synthesis Cube, a device that granted him the ability to combine materials into something new. This Cube was not just a tool; it was a symbol of his potential in this world, reflecting his status as a player in a game he once played. As he set to work, the Cube glowed with possibilities, presenting him with a myriad of options. He had a few basic materials at his disposal, remnants of his previous life and the knowledge he had accumulated from his past experiences in the game. Sunan began experimenting, combining herbs and minerals he had gathered. Each successful synthesis filled him with a sense of accomplishment, inching him closer to his goal of becoming a wizard. Days turned into weeks, and Sunan’s skills improved rapidly. He crafted potions, improved his understanding of magical theories, and honed his mental abilities through intense meditation practices. The Star Ring Meditation, one of the first techniques he mastered, allowed him to tap into the latent mental energy within himself, enhancing his cognitive functions and magical sensitivity. As he progressed, whispers of his endeavors began to circulate among the remaining noble families and the common folk. Some viewed him with suspicion, while others saw potential in the young man who dared to challenge the status quo. Sunan knew he needed allies. He began seeking out individuals who shared his vision—a return to the age of wizards. He discreetly approached the remnants of the nobility, the few who still held some influence, and began to forge connections. His reputation grew cautiously, and with it, the opportunities to gather resources and knowledge. He learned of hidden libraries, ancient texts, and artifacts that could aid in his quest. One fateful day, while exploring a forgotten ruin, he uncovered an ancient tome detailing the rituals of the wizards who had once thrived on this land. The pages contained knowledge that could accelerate his growth, including spells long lost to time. “This is it,” Sunan thought as he carefully transcribed the contents into his own notes. “With this, I can not only learn the spells but also improve my synthesis techniques.” As he delved deeper into the arcane arts, he realized that the key to his ascension lay not just in personal power but in understanding the intricate web of alliances and rivalries that defined noble society. He had to navigate these treacherous waters carefully. In the back of his mind, Sunan always remembered the impending return of the wizards. The time was coming when he would have to reveal his true potential and lead the charge into the new era. With each passing day, he grew stronger, more confident, and increasingly aware of the responsibilities that awaited him. The world was changing, and Sunan was determined to be at the forefront of that change—a wizard in a world that had forgotten what it meant to wield true power.
