First of all, it's on the ground, so he'd have to stop standing to actually pick it up, and second of all, considering the fact that he's never walked before in this body and he is 2 days old, walking would 100% be shorter, especially since his legs are so short.

Never heard of the Agatha thing, but pretty sure that Death is basically a deity from what I've seen in fanfics, and any universe with canonical deities would probably also fall in the category the original commenter was talking about, so fair.
