Meeting the rest of the Xiao Long / Rose family and Pyrrha

(MC) we arrived at Patch the next day. a few minutes after we landed a man with dirty blonde hair comes to greet us.

"Hello I am Tai-Yang Xiao Long and I'll be your host for the next few years" he says with a smile.

I introduce myself and he shows me to the room where I'll be staying for the next few years as I drop off my things as I head into the kitchen to make myself some lunch, Tai brings over a young girl who I know to be Yang Xiao long, although I pretend otherwise.

"yang, this is Marethyu, he'll be staying with us for a few years." tai says, introducing me.

"Hi I'm Yang, it's nice to meet you." yang says excitedly holding out her hand

"it's nice to meet you too, yang" I reply as I shake her hand with a smile.

and just like that a few years pass, mostly without incident. yang and I grew closer as time went by, and when she went searching for her mother I helped fend off the Ursa and even killed the beast myself, at that point I unlocked my semblance, Overload.

"alright kid, you are 10 years old now, so that means you have a decision to make" Qrow says the day after my 10th birthday.

"will you stay here at patch or go back to the branwen tribe?" tai asks with a hint of pain in his voice.

"neither" I reply "I think I'm gonna travel for a few years, see a bit more of remnant before I go to beacon"

after I make my choice and say my goodbyes I leave the xiao long residence, once I'm far enough away I call for my personal knightmare frame, The Azrael, waiting onboard is my loyal servant, Alucard.

"good to see you boss." he says as he grabs my bags alongside his rather voluptuous thrall Seras Victoria.

"it's good to see you too, Alucard" I reply.

"where to boss?" seras asks

"set course for our mistral base" I say as alucard looks at me inquisitively

"why mistral?" alucard asks

"I intend to meet a certain invincible girl" I reply

after that we arrive in mistral and lelouch arranges for me to fight in a local tournament, in order to meet Pyrrha nikos. once there I made it to the finals easily.

before the final match, I approach her.

"hello, my name is marethyu" I say holding out my hand.

"Pyrrha, but you probably already knew that" she replies as the announcer calls us to the arena.

"well then, may the best fighter win" I say as I shake her hand.

"may the best fighter win" she replies as we enter the arena.

when the fight starts I shift the Samael, my primary weapon, to naginata form out of respect for pyrrha. the fight begins, and let me tell you it was one of the best fights of my new life. every blow we landed chipped away at our opponents aura, until after a few hours.

"it's been a while since I've actually been pushed this much during a fight" Pyrrha says with a smile "however it is pretty clear that you have more stamina than me, so let's end this here"

"agreed" I reply as I put away my weapon. I then shift into a stance that'll be quite familiar to fans of GOH. She rushes at me as I take a deep breath and ready myself for one final attack.

as the lightning reinforced kick hits her she's knocked into the wall, causing her aura to hit the red. the announcer then proclaims me the victor after composing himself. I then proceed to walk over to my opponent and reach out my hand. she then grabs it so I can help her up.

"I lost." she says with a look of relief on her face.

she then looks at me with a shit-eating grin on her face and says "thank you, you have no idea how much this means to me. now that I've lost they'll stop putting me up on a pedestal. they'll stop seeing me as The Indestructible Girl, three time champion of the Mistral Regional Tournament, and start seeing me as pyyrha."

"you're welcome, pyyrha" I say with a smile. then I get an idea.

"did you ever think of using Iron Sand to increase your semblances versatility?" I ask

"no, I hadn't. thanks for the idea" she replies gratefully.

"your welcome once again." I say as we walk out the door. I then give her my scroll number before we part ways. after this I spend the next 7 years training. until something interesting happens a few weeks before the plot starts.
