dialogue in first person novels

It's my first time reading a historical romance so I gave it a try. The plot was great although the placement of the person who said the dialogues was a bit confusing. For example, the dialogue was from Isabella but the name after the dialogue was another person, which makes me think it was the latter rather than the former who were talking. But overall, good job author👍🏻

The dialogue is so: Hello! Hello! … what now, its so dry as if the author hasn’t talked to a person since birth and the majority of novels nowadays have that ai or robotic feeling to the conversation and characters.

It's very well written story. Despite not being a big fan of first person perspective, the author made good use of it. The characters are well developed and the dialogue is realistic. Recommend!

This book is really great. The first person point of view narration and dialogue focus writing style is something I really appreciate. Plus the storyline is something new. Great work Author.

The reason we don't have a 10 years old protagonist in most novels, or we have a reincarnated person as MC is so we can make sense of their dialogue, don't cringe at everything they say and maybe "feel" like being in their skin. You can't just write TRUE 10 yrs old dialogue and expect people to like it, or (as is this case) write a dialogue that's not even close to that age and expect people to just roll over it. The words exchanged feel unnatural and weird, especially for that age group. It feels fake. The family bit in the first chapter was spot on, but from there on a strong "nah, I don't think so".
