Usually I like to leave a review when I have finished a story but that’s because I usually only read completed works. But this one grabbed me from the start as I was looking for stories to add to my library, and I have been savouring reading it each day. The writing quality is flawless so far. The author is particularly talented with building creepy suspense and most notably, writing excellent fight scenes. The MC, Emir is a complex young man who has all the memories of his previous life as he is ‘reborn’ into the host body of a baby of a widowed single mother in a futuristic Earth. But for Emir, there’s no gentle curve of development because his mind also has an AI present who will ruthlessly train him in battle before he can even walk. And so his story begins as he is shaped into becoming the perfect weapon. Only this weapon isn’t easily controlled. As I mentioned, Emir is complex. He is cold, untrusting, calculated, ruthless, and a little crazy. He has a relentless drive that doesn’t back down, and as he grows up it makes him an uncomfortable presence and a seriously underestimated one. But, his little family keep him grounded with bonds of family and he has strong ties to them that you can see make him a warmer and more relatable young man. Their warmth and Emir’s love for them have made him more than a detached killing machine. They make him unpredictable and someone who won’t be controlled. The world background is futuristic and has a dystopian feeling. There are planets beyond Earth and the author drops hints about their importance, but the story begins on our world in a centuries old post apocalyptic setting. The world beyond protected cities is full of mutated monsters to kill, ancient ruins full of traps and treasure to plunder, as well as rogue humans waiting to kill the underprepared. The world within cities is a mix of majestic academies, guilds, businesses, slums, and control. And one thing I think that I love most about this story so far is that Emir is always venturing into new areas, fighting new foes, solving new puzzles, and revelling in each challenge. And each step he takes makes you realise that you didn’t know anything, and that for Emir to stay ahead of those who want him under their control, he will have to become the most dangerous being not just here on Earth, but beyond. As for me, I am hugging his thighs and happily going along for the ride.

You've just written the most comprehensive review I've ever gotten, so I don't know what to say except thank you and that I really appreciate it. This seriously made my day.

I've been stuck on this book's early chapters for a quite long time already. And i think now is the time for us to part ways. The pros : - The mc's backstory is unknown yet he is likeable and understandable on a certain level. - The world is original. - Some might like the rather slow pace . - The mc's reaction to his reincarnation is really realistic . - A promising plot slowly unravels . - The author 's writing quality is above average( the style is not very eye-catching but it manages to keep you intrigued and there aren't many mistakes ( if any) ). - I don't know the chapters' lenght , but i can tell it must be longer than your average 1000 words on webnovel. The cons : - The characters are bland. The Mc is likeable yet somehow , he is uninteresting enough. If i'm being honest , i simply don't care enough about him , even though i know him( i've read 23 chapters already). I think this comes from two facts : First , the Mc doesn't really have any flaw he should work on( egoism , dishonesty...). Him being insecure makes me empathize with him but that's all. I do not feel really tied to him , nor does he seems realistic , since he has no bad side. And second , the mc's personality is melancholic and cold. Contrary to what people think , writing about a cold mc is really difficult , since it's hard to make him engaging. But not only did the author make him cold , he/she also used an omniscient pov , which further distances readers from the Mc. If only he had funny thoughts despite having a cold demeanor, it would have still been fine. But as i said earlier , he is melancholic. So don't expect rejoicing thoughts from him. On another point , i also don't really like how the Mc acted( in the 23rd chapter ) as though Killing was forced upon him. Emir had a choice. He could have let the hitmen go. So i don't understand why he lamented and acted as if it was forced upon him. If he acts in a certain way , he has to uphold his responsabilities. This all whinning time discredited him highly and it was even the final push for me to definetely stop reading this book. All in all , he is not irritating nor engaging. He is fine and just fine. Now for the side characters... They are forgetable( even the Mc's mother and his sister). - The pace is slow. As i said above , the pace is rather slow. And this together with the characters makes the story feels dragging. - I don't really like the book's general vibe . The book's ambiance is the reflection of the Mc : cold and melancholic. It doesn’t change one bit , and this ends up making the whole reading experience underwhelming. Finally , I pray for your improvement author and hope that my honest review does help you.
