I am the author of this novel, so of course I am biased to myself. Welcome to my book! I thank everyone for reading my work, even if you don't like it. I have read a LOT of webnovels, many of them translated from chinese. I have seen a lot of commonly used tropes, and as a change of pace, I wanted to create something different. There will be nearly no "Young Masters". Only a very select few. (The absence of at least one idiot is just as bad as overfilling) There will be no "I must save (the Honor of) my Family!" There will be no "Heaven sent lucky chances". Heaven controls luck, and Heaven does not like the MC, at all. I also want to show a real change in Gravis' personality as time goes by. He won't always be a wimp. He won't always be a cold-hearted killing machine. Just as emotions change, people change with them. This is a lot to live up to, but I'll do my best. Updates will be 2 chapters per day. I have a backlog, so updates will be constant. Thank you all for reading!

My favorite kind of romance is something I can never seem to find, which is real love between characters. Not a stupid brain dead harem, not an aggressive relationship, not a dense MC romance where nothing happens, but real feelings. I also don’t want to read about a romance that takes forever to build up to and then once it happens MC abandons his lover to get stronger or just when the romance happens, tragedy strikes and the lover is gone until the last chapter - no. What I’m hoping for is to find a book where the lover is a supporting character. It’s almost impossible to find, so when you say you’re planning something different, I hope it’s this.
Lady cultivator does a pretty good job of this imo, i’d recommend it alot more if it wasn’t dropped or on hiatus.
Seems like it’s also on a translation hiatus here. To be honest if it’s from a female point of view I’d rather it have no romance. The reason being, the authors tend to have the female leads drooling every time they see a handsome guy. That or the romance with the love interest tends up being irrational and solely for looks (the excessive descriptions are a bit too much for me). I dropped The Seventh Young Miss because of this and I was definitely over 1000 chapters in by the time it happened. The only case where this doesn’t always happen is in a female lead novel is when there’s also a female love interest (also forget about gender bender, I don’t get the appeal), which is near impossible for Chinese novels because of stigmas in China. Since that’s the case I’d love to read a female led cultivation novel without any romance. It’d be better if it was a long one like a lot of the Chinese novels (800+ chapters).
well you done and gone ****ed the chances of me reading this for yaoi smut, the story better be worth it!
