After finishing introductions, I gave Toki my snail transponder's number. I looked deep into her eyes as I said this with the most serious tone I had used ever since getting here.
"Give me a call when you are in trouble. I will come to help you no matter what. Don't lose it." I told her sternly.
This was the best I could do. Wano is popular for promoting its isolationists policies, this meant that it would be really hard for me to know when Oden would start fighting Kaido. I could only estimate the time frame he would decide to take action, and this estimate wouldn't even be accurate.
Toki looked at me suspiciously before keeping the paper with my number in her bossom. They soon left the ship with Marco.
Before Whitebeard could set sail, I decided to pay him one last visit before we parted ways. He sat on his chair with his naginata in his grip. He smiled when he noticed me entering the vicinity, Whitebeard chuckled a bit before asking,
"Are you ready to leave yet, Boris?"
I grabbed a barrell before sitting down on it. Stussy was still on our ship, she didn't want to come with me to pay Whitebeard a visit. As I sat down, I responded to Whitebeard's question.
"We are all set and ready to go. I'll borrow some of Marco's men for a bit and return them when I get my crew back from Ulvehoved."
Whitebeard nodded at my response, he tossed a bottle of wine at me. Which I popped open and drunk straight from the bottle, I didn't drink much; but when I did, I made an effort to drink some of the finest wine I could have gotten my hands on at the moment.
We both drunk in silence for a bit when Oden suddenly ran up with Toki. He must have thought that Whitebeard had left him behind or something. When he found Whitebeard and I drinking, he once again made another exclaimation.
"Eh?!?! When did this pipsqueak get here? I left him on the other ship!!"
Whitebeard laughed while I remained expressionless, though inside I was beginning to get furious. 'What's this guy's problem?!'
When Toki had managed to calm down Oden, the two of them joined us as we sat and drank for quite a bit. It would be some time before I saw Whitebeard again, I wanted to enjoy these small moments I had with him. I was even willing to tolerate Oden's obnoxious behaviour if it meant I could extend this time a little bit longer.
Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end. I eventually got up and left Whitebeard's ship after finishing my bottle of wine. I got up to the deck of my ship, and promptly told the crew to sail to Ulvehoved. The crowd hummed in acknowledgement and promptly began our journey to Ulvehoved.
I sat on the couch at the helm, right next to Stussy; who was currently taking a nap. I slowly brought her close to me and slowly drifted to sleep as well.
The journey to Ulvehoved took a longer time than it usually took. There had been an increase in marines along the route. They kept bombarding us whenever they saw us coming, so we ended up having to take a detour around the route. Thus, extending the journey a little bit longer than I would have liked it to.
When we arrived, my crew awaited us with smiling faces. The other crew members under Jozu and Marco who had been injured during our clash with Big Mom were all fully healed and energetic to boot. I was also planning on bringing them with us to take them to their respectful division commanders.
However, before we could do that I planned on resting for a week or two and patrolling our territories a few times before I brought them back. I wouldn't mind training Marco's and Jozu's subordinates while we were patrolling.
Overall, this would take about six months to a maximum of a year. It all depended on how much time we were willing to spend.
When we walked off the ship, the town's citizens came to greet us once more. It appears that the crew that was left here weren't totally idle. They had been fending off pirates that had been attempting to invade the town and helping the villagers every once in a while. This made me a bit happy, after all, there wasn't nothing wrong with doing a little bit of good.
I was going to rent a hotel for the next couple of days when my transponder snail started ringing. I picked up the call, the snail slowly took on the appearance of an old man with a bald head and a rather tired expression. Well, he wasn't tired as he was scared out of his wits.
I didn't need to take a while before I recognized him as the town leader of one of Whitebeard's territories: Falk island. It was an island that was known for its rather beautiful women, however, the women would leave the island when they reached of age in an attempt to find love in the outside world.
Anyway, its village chief was an old man who had lived their all his life. He had a rather beautiful wife who stayed beautiful even in old age. Though her personality left much to be desired, especially when it came to strangers. I could vividly remember Stussy getting angry over the lady's attitude.
I greeted the old man, but I couldn't even finish before he started yelling,
"The Celestial Dragons are coming here, HELP US!!!"
My eyes narrowed and killing intent started to seep out of my body. Everyone who was near me suddenly froze and started shaking uncontrollably. The weaker ones couldn't even resist properly, they just started collapsing and frothing from their mouths.
"Are you fucking with me?" I asked coldly.
The man didn't even hesitate before saying, "I'm not! A World Government ship was spotted by one of our merchants coming here at a fast pace. They said it would be a day or so before they arrive, you said that we would be under Whitebeard's protection when we allow you guys to claim our island as your territory."
Stussy suddenly appeared out of nowhere, she looked like she wanted to say something; but one look from me completely shut her up.
Although it wasn't my first time killing a World Noble, the circumstances between this time and last time was as different as night and day. We were at war last time, the World Government wouldn't have the ability to send other forces because they were currently wrapped in a fight with Rocks. This time, it would be me alone without any reinforcements.
I immediately told the village leader that I was on my way before hanging up. I quickly dialed Whitebeard's number, he picked up almost immediately, and I immediately explained the situation to him.
Whitebeard looked furious, it was rare that the World Government ignore red flags and directly decides to pick a fight with powerful people like Whitebeard. This was a direct challenge to Whitebeard's authority, regardless on who was going to win at the island: A war could possibly be seen in the horizon.
I informed him of my intention before hanging up. Whether Whitebeard would come to the island or not was entirely upto him. Either way, I was going to defend that island. I had given the islands and villages two things while I was patrolling: That was my Transponder snail's number, and my word. My word was my honor, and I would have been damned if I broke it because of a Celestial Dragon.
I slowly began my transformation into my draconic form. I immediately soared to the sky and sped towards Falk islands. Fury and determination eminating from all six of my eyes.
