Going by my previous posts with the author I am 80% sure he wanted to bash or spite Subaru. Leaving Subaru to stay dead would take him out of the story which wouldn't let him do the previous. Same with his 180 on Emilia as she is Subaru love interest.

What nonsense? You gave no examples except "It wasn't Satella! It could have been Pandora or Flugel!" then when asked to explain why Subaru is in the fic you clam up or derail talking about how you hate the idea of Subaru being the protag. You still haven't explained why the first ending is going on about descripting Subaru hair and eyes and how the person implied to be Satella misses those "times" before and how she sees him off in the same way he goes to the shadow garden when he dies is not a clue, or how she talks about his past and what he did for her in the Witch's Tea party, or how Shaula calls him the Sage, or how the anime shows a hand that looks like the ones Satella makes is what is reaching for him that then causes the distortions. There is more evidence for her being the summoner than for all the other people you mention from the simple fact that she is the only one that showed up. You could say you wanted to go with a different Idea which would have been it. But instead you just pretended like none of that happened and instead went on about how everyone else is wrong and you're right without giving any proof.

Here is the thing. If you had just said "I don't like Subaru and I want my OC to take his power and his women because it's a power fantasy". You would not have gotten so much push back. The problem is that instead of just saying the fanfic is a AU or reinterpretation with some Subaru bashing you instead went on tangents about how the 11 or so years of both fandom discussion on all this and from the hints that both the LN and Anime (and the first Ending in Season 1) is all wrong and is entirely baseless is what is leading to so much pushback.

I did not see this second post but here is my comment on this. You're misinterpreting what people are complaining about. No one wants Subaru to be Mordred bitch. People are asking why you decided to have the MC steal the few advantages Subaru has then keep him around while seemingly also swooping in for his love interest. Plenty of people make Re zero SI, when they don't want the MC following Subaru around they just don't add him to the story. There is even several SI of people being Fate characters sent to Re Zero. Every single one of those but one is just like this Story where the SI is in the body of a Saberface with Subaru around. None of them have the SI being Subaru sidekick, nearly all of them have the SI being a candidate like yours. What they do is just have the SI leave and do their own thing with either Reinhard or whoever will be in there camp. The only one that had the SI join Emilia was the one where they replaced Subaru entirely with Arthur proto body and RBD. The fact that you kept Subaru but did this is why people keep asking since there was no reason to do it but fuck over a character for some reason.

What are you talking about no reason or no argument? We know from Echidna and Satella both being the one to update his power and their talk in the Tea party that the power is hers. We know a shadow hand is what reached for him just going by anime, the highest most likely people to summon him is Witch of Envy, Satella (to kill her like she asked) or Pandora. You say there is no reason to assume it was Satella but then say you're not saying she didn't do it. Subaru having knowledge on Celestial Bodies is mostly worthless and either could have been given to the MC or not needed. It's the same with Japanese. It barely ever comes up as plot points besides to make Subaru think about the mystery of everything. Which isn't needed since the MC knows the story. The idea that anyone else summoned should take Subaru ability and "protag status" doesn't make sense. Even if you ignore the question of who summoned him, we know for a fact his ability came from Satella and that she gave it to him. So even if you claim Satella didn't summon Subaru that does not mean he should suddenly lose the ability. We know she goes out of her way to update his checkpoints to make sure he doesn't get into a endless death loop. Someone being transmigrated does not mean Subaru loses his abilities. Take Al, literally has his own Authority. If I would make an example imagine someone wrote a Rising of the shield hero SI where the OC is the new shield hero. But Naofumi is still summoned with no shield, he is still thrown out on the streets, he doesn't get Raphtalia because the SI took her, and he doesn't join a party. Then the author says he kept Naofumi because he needed someone who can cook. You see how it doesn't make sense?

The quality of the writing is better than most stories on here. No real grammar problems either. Only thing I can say is that Subaru does not feel needed. The author made it clear that this was the MC story and not following Subaru around. But the author still added Subaru yet took away his Return By Death. People who watched the Anime or read the LN knows that if Subaru doesn't have the ability then that means Satella does not love him, it makes no sense for him to be summoned when the MC has the ability. The MC is also the one who is interacting with Emilia instead so it kind of defeats the purpose of even having him around since we already have a MC who has RbD who also is interacting with the characters instead of Subaru. The author hasn't really given a reason for why he is around besides "he will be important" but this ignores all of his relevancy was taken from him and by a plot standpoint the MC should be the relevant one because of the above.

Personally I feel like this story didn't even need Subaru. If he doesn't even have his canon power then this is assuming Satella does not love him, if he doesn't love him why is he even summoned? I am not saying Subaru needs more powers. But more so the fact that if the MC is just taking Subaru place with Emilia and the others then Subaru doesn't even need to exist here. You could have just not had him be summoned and overall not a lot would have changed.
