Dude i understand how you feel but you got to stop nitpick at ever little detail. the more you nitpick, the more you going to hate everything you read and if you not going to enjoy the expience, why waste your time?

Not necessarily the system has complete control over his action, it mostly decide or generated task for not just the mc but for all players involve. Althoguh he may not have full control, considering the variable involve, he still have mastery over how he want to go out, which you can see in later chapter.
