It got me hook from the very first chapter and did quite some time until the free chapter and did a couple locked chapter as well. It was a very enjoyable read with a very engaging narrative, stable updates, and a very solid world build and it really seem that you know what you were doing. I think the first volume was engaging enough that it didn't seem that slow imo. However, now for the cons. The reason that made me less interesting in the story (mostly subjective). 1. MC entering the academy. It for me was kinda cringey and also cliche although it made sense why he did so and introducing the master and bonding with other character. It doesn't make it less cliche and cringey. 2. the mc flaws: his ability not to lie. It not a huge deal breaker for me. However, it did seem a bit forced that he will uncontrollably blurted out what he thinks. However, it still tolerable for me. 3. Required a master. Honestly, I rather he went solo and instead of having to be depend on someone and being bond to that person forever. Why? cuz I just like the freedom for Mc to explore the world and also haven't seen much quality in the potential master yet. 4. Total unrelated but I want to see some more male characters that I hope aren't the villain or one dimensional character. Nevertheless, I think still a pretty engaging story. Most of the cons were a lot of restrictions in the setting, his thought (can't lie), and required to have a master that give him less freedom, which was a bit off putting to me. Overall, I think you have a fantastic story going on and hope to see it develop.
