I feel like every novel these past 2 or 3 years are just copying each other with world building and using the successful tropes. This one separates itself a bit, but it's still guilty as you can tell just from the synopsis. Writing = S tier, it's not translated and the author has superb English so of course it's an easy 5. Story/World is a 3 for me, just because I'm tired of the same type of "awakened" bs I've seen literally 100 times. "Let's take the successful meta and transform it just a bit! " Said every single author ever. At least they do it decently. Characters (at least the MC) are a 5, it doesn't have the KR or JP niches you loath.

LIKEWell, they are trope for a reason. It something that easier recognized and something that can attract readers. Otherwise, they wouldn't exist. So naturally, some author will take advantage of that, and there nothing wrong with that. Heck, even you probably have a trope you like. But no matter how interesting the trope or concept you have, it nothing if you can't develop an interesting plot or use the same formula seen about a thousand of times. It's boring, especially with the isekai genre.
Newtinator:Maybe - finding something fresh these days is next to impossible since people tend to adopt all the currently successful tropes. Definitely always been an issue, but it's been magnified the past ~5 years. Especially after the success of Mushoku Tensei and LMS. The story is still decent in this, with a decent MC - but lack of originality makes it hard to do much better than a 3/5 for me.

ChocolatChan:Hm Idk. It was good that you're honest. But it feel like your more mad at the idea being recycled so many times rather than the novel itself.
