I’ve decided to write about history. More specifically US History. You’ll get a little bit of French and Spanish History further in. We’ll learn about sinking tea ? in the Boston Harbor. How Europeans went nuts over the Americas. How America was set up, its religions, economy, influence, etc.

I panicked. Here I was. Purposeless. No reason to live. Nothing to give, nothing to do. My life was pointless. I lived through hell to gain freedom. Now I had gained it, I had no purpose.

A deep realization dig into me. I had nothing to live for. I started contemplating life, looking for a meaning to myself. An answer to what I could do. I did not know.

I was shackled by nothing, yet that trapped me in another prison. I was born with no ties to the world. No reason to do anything. I thought, 'CALM DOWN! YOU ARE OVERREACTING!! THINK DAMNIT THINK!!!'

Then, I truly understood something. I was free. Truly free. Nothing to hold me down. I could do whatever I want with my life. Anything was better than that hell. I could legitimately truly live from now on.

So I decided, since I had so much time. I decided to do what the man who's memories I had wanted to do with his life. He wanted to lead people out of misfortune. So I went to the local library and read every book on philosophy. Surprisingly, I remembered each word of each page of each book. I decided to just read all the nonfiction in the library, except for history, because after reading nearly the full library, I thought to stop, so I decided to fuck history, and left.

I learned a bunch of shit I did not need to know. I read a bunch of dictionaries. Filled with words that I may never use in a fucking lifetime as all I like to do is swear like a dumbass.

There were too many books about qi. I read them ALL. I started thinking of more and more ways to make stronger effects with less qi. Thought of some that blew me up later and thought of some that saved my ass later.

There were also basic sword books. That day, I became the most mediocre man at literally everything except history and learning. I was best at learning things to do with studies of the world and shit, not emotions and common sense. Luckily, my memories were of a pretty good person. Named As Hol. He gave me a sense of emotions, otherwise I would've been a fucking robot for probably months later until I learned science and stuff, where by then, I would probably make something to implant memories of how shit works

Also, since I had memories of emotion, I was able to pick up philosophy, though it was still kinda hard.

I walked out of the library feeling more ready for the world. Then I collapsed because poison is a bitch. That spider poison may have left me alive, but it still fucked me over at the time.

The next day came quickly, and Ash spent most of the day running around the garden. After a their walk was finished, Alice pulled out a few books and began to study. 
They were the same ones she had been reading on the first day Ash arrived, and probably before then too. 
The contents of the books focused on business- how to make connections and bargain, as well as an outline for the prices of some common goods. 
Naturally, prices fluctuate, so these prices weren't up to date, but they could still give a decent idea of the pricing landscape.
Aside from these business books, Alice also had a few novels and a singular history book.
The history book could hardly be called a history book though, more historical fiction. 
Its subject was a fairly well known one- the story of the Crimson General. The book had an odd origin; no one knew who the author was. Apparently, a few hundred years ago, shortly after the death of the Crimson general, this book showed up. 
It was written in an unidentifiable language, and only a few words could be recognized. Crimson General.
After countless years of work by some of the best scholars in the Vosnan Empire, the book had been roughly translated. 
It told an in depth story about the Crimson General, and was told from a third person point of view. Who could have written this, and were the stories within true? It was labeled as historical fiction rather than nonfiction.
Rather than holding the story to themselves, the Vosnian scholars made some edits, then made copies of the translated version. 
The storytelling in the book was good, and they figured the book could serve as a reminder to others not to make the mistakes that their own nation had made in the past.
Alice read out in the garden, sitting under a small tree. The sun soon past the height of the sky, and began its descent towards the horizon. 
Alice grew tired of sitting still and reading, and she had something to do today.
It was time to find out about Ash's past.
Leaving Ash in the garden, she began her search for the butler. Alex was more of a supervisor to the other workers, and even had his own office… but he wasn't there. None of the servants Alice passed seemed to know either.
'Hmm… I'm sure Gary knows! Those two have been best friends forever, I'm sure Gary can find him!'
Making her way to the kitchen, Alice pushed open the door, only to be met with the person she was searching for.
"Alex! Were you trying to hide from me?"
Alice pulled him away, leaving a confused Gary behind. 
"M'lady, a bar is no place for a young lass like you. How about I go alone? I will tell you everything word for word, so don't worry!"
"Nope. I'm hearing it first hand. Even if it isn't a happy story, I want to hear what happened."
Alex shook his head, but knew there was nothing he could do to stop her. 'Please don't let it be too bad…'
The Lions Gate pub wasn't far from the Graves manor, and it didn't take long for the pair to arrive. 
The young girl was quite out of place at the establishment filled with drunken mercenaries. The pub couldn't quite be called a clean place. The stench of alcohol permeated the air, along with the smell of strong BO and upchuck. 
Alice coughed at the stench as she entered, attracting the attention of a few drunkards.
"Oi! Looks like Ol' Jer got us a young one this time, eh? Which brothel is this one from?"
A few other drunkards joined the first, jeering at Alice.
Their disgusting gazes made Alice feel queasy. Combined with the rancid stench, the gazes made some bile start heading for Alice's throat. 
Just as she thought she was going to barf, Alex stepped forwards. His glare was even sharper than the sword in his hard, and silence filled the pub. Alex's face was bright red with rage, his sword held forwards threateningly. It was almost like he was daring someone to say another word, his sword itching to pay back these idiots who'd insulted Alice.
A few seconds later, everyone went back to their drinking, completely ignoring Alice. It seemed no one wanted to test Alex's temper. 
Jorg was sitting at a table in the corner of the room, and it didn't take long for Alex to recognize him. The duo sat across from him, receiving no reaction. 
Jorg was dead drunk already, despite it being just past midday. 
Alex waved his hand in front of the merc's dirty orange beard, and finally Jorg awoke. 
"Huh? Who are you? Go away or get me -hic- more beer."
Tossing four sil to the bartender, Alex purchased a beer for Jorg… or at least he tried to. With a sneer on his face the bartender motioned for more. 
Four sil was already a decent amount of money, definitely enough for a beer. Any more would be a scam… but Alex had to get the drink. Without it, it was unlikely that Jorg would talk.
After giving another two sil to the bartender, he finally got the beer.
As if revived by the scent of alcohol, Jorg straightened up as soon as the drink arrived. He took a sip of the piss yellow liquid, scrunching his face into a frown at the harsh taste.
"Alright… what do ya want, girly?"
Still trying to keep the vomit from earlier down, Alice took a moment before speaking.
"Please tell me about the wolf pups your group brought to the city about a month ago. I want to know what happened to the black wolf pup… and how you caught them in the first place."

A wolf with the mind of a human, yet with no memories to speak of. Will he be able to survive long enough to regain his memories, or will he build a new life instead of finding what he once had? 

New author, but I will try to stray away from the mistakes that make books hard to read. Not going to write a harem, the main character will not be overpowered, and the plot armor will be too thin to stop a pebble thrown by a toddler. I will try to make this story as entertaining as possible to read. If you think I am not living up to this synopsis, please tell me in the comments, and I will try to improve :).

At last, Ning Huanxin settled on a book titled "Foundational Skills of a Performer" before she lay down on her bed. This nonfiction book, filled with technical subjects, was truly hypnotizing, and it was not long before Ning Huaxin's eyelids were heavy.
Not long after, Ning Huanxin fell asleep.
"It's very cold!"
"This is so uncomfortable."
In Ning Huanxin's dream, a female voice rang in her ears relentlessly.
The surroundings were dark and humid, there was the stinking smell of decomposition in the air.
This place…
The basement?
"Why didn't you come and save me? Did you know that my child and I have been waiting for you? We have always been waiting for you."
"Where are you? Where have you been?"
The woman's voice grew increasingly grievous and lonely, to the point of craziness at the end.
The light was already switched off in the room.
The curtains were not drawn, and the moonlight streamed in through the windows, reflecting on Ning Huanxin's face. Ning Huaxin was sleeping rather uncomfortably as her brows were furrowed, and her beautiful face had a painful expression.
In that instant, a blast of cold air blew in, suddenly drawing the curtains close. They covered the entire mirror situated in the corner of the room.
A faint fragrance floated in the room, and Ning Huanxin finally settled peacefully in her bed. Her furrowed brows also began to ease slowly.
How familiar…
The voice from her dreams finally disappeared. Ning Huanxin smelled a familiar scent, making her feel comfortable instantly. Her facial expression also turned peaceful.
Ning Huanxin woke up early the next morning.
After a good night's sleep, she woke up groggy. The heavy curtains were drawn, but some beams of light managed to find their way into the room, casting a dim glow. Ning Huanxin could not help but rub her eyes.
Did she close the curtains last night?
She frowned, but as she turned her head, the book that she had read last night was placed nicely at the bedside.
After she placed the book back, Ning Huanxin dressed up and silently walked out of the room. In this small town, the air during the early morning hours was very refreshing.
Ning Huanxin started running, following the only spacious path in the town, and she eventually ran out of it.
Not far away from the town was a barren grave.
The place was quite near to the town, but why was it casually neglected by the residents in town?
Ning Huanxin continued running forward. She recalled that Wang Nianping once told her about the town's history. As Wang Nianping had told her, decades ago, there were only two villages and no town. Somehow, all the people of one village died mysteriously, leaving the solitary existence of the other village. The surviving village eventually grew to become the town later.
That was Zhang Clan Town, but its original name was Zhang Clan Village.
On an autumn morning, the dew was heavy, and there was a chill in the air.
Without realizing, Ning Huanxin had already run near to the grave. From far, she spotted some smoke and a blurry figure.
How could someone be burning joss paper at such an early hour of the day?
Ning Huanxin's expression shifted, then she hurried her pace.
But when she reached the area, the blurry figure was long gone, leaving behind only the burnt-out joss papers and a box of rouge. 
The rouge box was made of metal, with an old and sentimental brand. This emitted a feeling of nostalgia. Although it was charred due to burning, the brand and exterior design were still noticeable on the cover.
Who was this burnt for?
Ning Huanxin looked up at the grave in front of her, that…
Wasn't this the same grave where Gu Yu and Luo Yingxin encountered an accident ten years later at the filming site? 
"What're you doing here?"
Suddenly a cold and alert female voice rang out behind Ning Huanxin.
Ning Huanxin turned her head and saw Auntie Zhang carrying a small basket standing behind her, her face was filled with suspicion. 
Her basket was covered with blue cloth. As the wind blew and the edge of cloth was lifted, one could see the yellow paper money inside.


After stumbling into the Underworld Chat Group out of the blue, she accidentally becomes the good friend of King Hades.
Thus begins the journey of Ning Huanxin as she uses her abilities to interact with spirits and uncover the truth behind mysteries. The main theme of this book is suspense, with romance as a side tale. 
 
Female Lead: That night, there was a strange downpour of red rainfall and I climbed out of a tomb. Ever since then, my third eye opened and I started being capable of seeing spirits. 
King Hades: Weren't you the extra acting as a female ghost in a graveyard scene of a horror movie?  
Female Lead: Hey, it is hard enough being a human, don't expose me! 
King Hades: I'm not a human, I'm a ghost~
Female Lead: Author, I strongly request to change my husband!

Three weeks later. 

Waking up in class is the most annoying thing on planet earth, School itself is the second. My schedule changed a lot since the beginning of the school year, Especially after coming out of the hospital. I didn't like my school nor the principal. Ever since I've been in the hospital, I've been bombarded with school work. "Mr.woods, are you paying attention?" My history teacher wasn't pleased at my lack of concentration. "My apologies, My thought process was in a completely different Direction." Mr.z closes his note book and stands up. "Let's do something new. I see my class being non-responsive towards history, so let's learn about historical nonfiction." He caught my attention. He sits backdown and opens up a new book. "Name a non-fiction creature and I'll read about it." The whole class stares at me with an annoying Attitude. Mr.z looks in my direction and before he could say anything, ms.glass walks in the classroom. "Mr.z, can we talk in the hallway?" I was glad his attention shifted towards another persons, I was lucky. Mr.z and ms.glass both leave the classroom. It didn't take long for the class to start talking a storm. I didn't entertain the thought of talking to them, I stood quiet and stared above the class. As an overseer, it was amazing to see different auras floating in the air. The most recent auras I've seen were orange,pink and purple, I still don't know what race the colors stand for. After a couple of minutes, the teacher walks back in with a new student, "My apologies for the inconvenience, we have a new student here in blackbird Academy."
The boy looks at the class with a blank stare. "My name is prometheus." He says. I look above his head to see his aura color. I was surprised to see blue. He wasn't mixed with any race but he was purely giant. That explained his height and how fit his body was. He walked towards the chair next to me and sat beside me. It's likely that he knows his race, people who are mixed only know the lifestyle their raised into. Prometheus yawns and says "I overheard you ask the class to pick a non-fiction creature but the class didn't say anything. Can you please read giant?" Mr.z smiles with excitement. He rushes back to his seat and flashes through the pages. Mr.z takes a deep breath and begins to read, "A giant is a fearsome warrior. Giants are known for their brute strength and unreal speed. Giants are believed to be tall and muscular. some individuals speculate that Hercules was half giant. A Paleontologist by the name of James hall, Believed he discovered the remains of a creature similar to a human." As mr.z is reading the page, the school bell interrupts him. As I'm walking out the classroom, I had this strange feeling to turn around but I decided not to. Shortly after I hear multiple footsteps coming towards me, I quickly turn around but wasn't fast enough. A whole bunch of female students Surrounded me. "I heard you were dating Angelica." A girl says. I didn't entertain the nonsense I was hearing. I kept walking through the girls. I was known as the cutest boy in blackbird Academy but I didn't have a girlfriend. I didn't need one, I was independent but the rest of the school wasn't. "I don't know who Angelica is and I don't care". I continued to keep walking pass them but I then notice prometheus. He was walking the opposite direction. It's likely that he could've got confused with the other schools schedule. I quickly start to follow him, I didn't want to be weird but he wasn't human, he'll probably do something unnatural. There's a possibility that I could learn about giants and their lifestyle. After three minutes of spying on him, he walks into the cafeteria, I proceed to do the same. He starts to talk to himself, "I hate this job, to think father would allow a Prince to sit next to weak humans is absurd". He complained. 
I couldn't stand for his disrespect. I walk out of the shadows to show myself. "If you want to disrespect humans, at least do it in front of one". He turns around to face me. To my surprise he starts to smile. He began to talk, "you have a different smell, sweet smell of yang and the bitter smell of human. You're a different mixture and my father would be pleased to have a meeting with you." He says. I didn't care who his father was or how he knew I was part yang. I began to get heated, "look prometheus, I don't care who your  father is. My intention is to learn how to get my magic outside of my body." I explained. 
He takes a deep breath then begins to speak, "humans are connected to the universe. Your power is random but it's always been inside of you since day one. Your power can be unleashed through training. Meaning physically, mentally or spiritually. It's depending on the person. You're half yang so that comes with a couple perks. For example your speed,agility,awareness,intelligence and learning capabilities are far beyond a normal human." He said. I began to understand more than before. I didn't want to ask him anymore questions considering he helped enough. "Thank you." I said out of respect. He doesn't reply back but he begins to walk towards me. 
I look into his eyes and I understood. I put down my book bag and start walking towards him, I haven't felt like this in a while. We made a fist with our hands and swung with our might. Both of our fists collide and start to bleed. I see our aura pushing against each other. As if we started to read each other's minds, we both say "bring it on, no rules."

Blessed with the power of an overseer but cursed with the lies he has been told.


Shelby and Noel finished their meal, making little more than small talk. When they were finished, he looked at her as if to say, "What now?"
"How about we check out the library?" Shelby asked. "Maybe we can find out more about what's going on?" And she needed a little time just to be focused on something other than sex or food for a while. It was so hot, so intense, it was getting hard to remember it wasn't real. She needed to step back and take a breath. When this weekend was over, she'd have to go back to her ordinary accountant's life and she'd still have to face Noel at the office every day. Having a wild fling with him was one thing, but she had to be careful not to let herself fall in love - all the way at least. Unfortunately, she was already more than halfway there.
"Sounds good." He stood, immediately moving to pull her chair back for her. "I suppose we can assume the dishes will be taken care of."
She nodded. "Probably as soon as we leave the room."
The library was as stunning as she remembered it, with a warm fire in the brick hearth, plush sofas, a big wooden desk and bookcases reaching to the ceiling. She closed her eyes and inhaled deeply. She even loved the smell of books. This was a place she could get lost in for days. She looked at Noel and saw a similar expression of appreciation on his face and her heart tumbled just a little bit more. How could she resist a man who loved books as much as she did?
"So, where do we start?"
She smiled back at the wry humor in his tone. "Wherever we want, I guess. It's not like we have anything else to do."
Noel lifted one eyebrow and lowered his eyelids. "Oh, I can think of a few ideas, but they'll wait."
Shelby had to force herself to breathe as a bolt of lust shot all the way down her spine. "I'll - umm - start with the desk. You can figure out if the books are arranged in any sort of specific order. How's that?"
"Okay." He shot her a wicked grin before turning to the nearest shelf. "For now."
Shelby gulped and made her way to the desk, fully aware that her drawers were split at the crotch. All he'd have to do was bend her over one of those sofas, unbutton his trousers and...
Stop! Save that for later. Sinking into the swivel chair, she spared a moment to be glad it was wood, so her dampness wouldn't leave any telltale stains.
She had no idea exactly what they were looking for and she suspected Noel didn't either. They both seemed to believe that they'd be transported back to the real world on Christmas Eve. The magic didn't seem to be out to harm them in any way. So they weren't trying to find a way home. More information about why, maybe. That certainly couldn't hurt. Noel she understood - the village had been his family heirloom after all. But why had it chosen her to send with him? Was it really because he'd been fighting the same attraction she'd been suffering? She wished she could believe that.
"Seems to be some general split between fiction and nonfiction," he announced from the other side of the big room. "Fiction's on that side, everything else is over here. I've found sections on botany, biographies and archaeology so far, so I guess it's more or less alphabetical. Let's see what we can find in M for magic."
Get to work, girl! Shelby started opening desk drawers. Bottles of ink, quill pens and stacks of paper. No big surprise.
"Huh. There's actually a pretty big section. You need a book on spells for gardening? Or how about one titled Weather Magicks? There's even one for love charms and a volume on breaking hexes. Nothing about magical Christmas decorations so far."
"Try looking under 'Holiday'," she suggested. "This has something to do with your family, remember."
"Good thinking." He moved again and Shelby went back to searching the desk.
Paperclips. Scissors and a jar of wheat-pasted shoe polish and a shoe brush. Lamp oil and matches. A household account book that covered the years 1850-1860 and another from 1860-1870. She set those aside to look at later and kept searching. In the final drawer, she found a stack of postcards, neatly tied up with a red satin ribbon.
"Found it," Noel called. "The History of Holiday House." He pulled out the slim, leather-bound volume and moved over to one of the couches. Glancing up at Shelby, he saw the bundle in her hand as she untied the ribbon. "What did you find?"
Shelby flushed. "A large collection of dirty postcards. Apparently your Victorian ancestors were anything but prudes."
Noel patted the seat beside him. "Bring those over here. As soon as we've caught up on our history, we can check them out. I've heard about Victorian erotica, but I haven't seen much of it firsthand."
Shelby hadn't either, but just from the few she'd flipped through so far, it wasn't much different from modern porn, except for the clothes and settings. Her pussy tingled just thinking about looking at them with Noel. Maybe they could even act a few scenes out. Now that would be fun.
She curled up on the sofa, her shoulder leaning against his as he opened the book about the house. On the first page was a photograph of the house, exactly as it was now, except there was a horse and carriage parked in front. "Well, this is definitely it," she said.
Noel nodded and started flipping through chapters. "Built in 1840," he murmured. "On the site of an even older home. Lots of details about the family..." He flipped past several more sections to the last chapter. "In 1899, it was decided that a railroad would be built across the property where the house stood, so the house was set to be demolished."
"Maybe that's why they built the replica," Shelby offered. "To remember the house after it was gone."
"No, I think it gets even stranger," Noel replied. "The family convened at Midsummer and a great spell was cast. In the morning, the local paper reported that the house had been quickly and quietly demolished overnight. Not a single brick or board was ever found."
"So you're saying your ancestors managed to somehow shrink the house?"
Noel shrugged. "I don't know. That seems to be the suggestion. It goes on to say that a close copy of the house was built on family property a little farther out of town, which is probably the one my grandparents still live in."
"O-o-okay. I suppose if magic could zap us here from Charleston it could shrink a house. Why the hell not?"
Noel shook his head and closed the book. "I'm thinking I need to go spend some time with my grandparents. There's a lot more to the family history than I ever suspected."
