This super-short-story is about a deity named Cathu, His creation, and the trials of His creation in its journey to becoming a perfected image of its creator. The story borrows its deeper meaning from the mythologies of Indian, Norse, Greek, Egyptian, Hebrew and Sumerian scriptures. It has derived its imagery from comic books made by Marvel and Detective Comics companies.

Adlet (Inuit)- Inuit folklore tells of the Adlet, human-dog hybrids with dogs' legs and a human body, who were born to a woman that mated with a dog, according to a collection of Inuit tales and songs published in 1889 in the Journal of American Folklore.

The Adlet had human bodies with hairy dogs' legs, and they killed and ate their grandfather after he murdered their canine father, according to the legend.

Nuckelavee (Scotland)- The Scottish Nuckelavee is a "skinless centaur" with a snout like a pig's that expels gusts of steam, a single enormous eye, and arms that drag upon the ground. It lives in the ocean and can kill people by breathing on them, leading them to waste away and eventually die.

Berchta (German, Austria, Swiss, Alsatian)- A woman of many names, this German, Austrian, Swiss, and Alsatian spirit fulfills many roles. As Berchta, she is a beady-eyed, hooked-nosed hag with stringy grey hair and disheveled clothing. Parents threaten young children with her presence if they are untidy or misbehaved. As Butzenbercht, she is responsible for delivering presents to all the good children on Epiphany. However, if she is not sufficiently appeased with herrings and dumplings or pancakes at the Feast of Epiphany, she becomes the Stomach-Slasher, a demon who will rip open the stomachs of those who have wronged her, take her due, and then sew the wound with a plowshare as a needle and chains for thread. She who giveth can most definitely taketh away.

Pischacas (Vedic)- According to Vedic myth, these flesh-eating demons created by Brahma were considered to be the vilest of all. They lurk in charnel houses and graveyards, waiting for humans to infect with disease or madness. Neither the living nor the dead are safe, as these demons consume flesh with little regard for its freshness. They also often haunt places where violent deaths have occurred. In southern India, the Pishachas roam the forests between villages, so travelers carry a piece of iron or leaves from the neem tree to ward off the demons if they must pass through the forests. Pregnant women are especially susceptible to these creatures.

Poreskoro (Romany) - In Romany folklore, Poreskoro is one of the offspring of Ana, the queen of fairies, and Loçolico, the king of demons. Ana's fairy court made her a cake from the hair of a hellhound, a cat, and a powdered snake in the hopes that it would repel the demon king; instead, Poreskoro was born. He has a human body with three cat heads and four dog heads and a snake with a forked tongue as his tail. This demon, along with his children, is responsible for epidemics of contagious diseases, and he has a special fondness for those spread by parasites.

In historical Viking society, níð was a term for a social stigma implying the loss of honor and the status of a villain. Thus, its name might refer to its role as a horrific monster in its action of chewing the corpses of the inhabitants of Náströnd: those guilty of murder, adultery, and oath-breaking, which Norse society considered among the worst possible.

Upon seeing these words, Kennard instantly couldn't shift his eyes away. He was so excited that his hands began to tremble.
As a genetic grandmaster, what had he never seen before? But right now upon seeing the information of a complete mythological system appearing before his eyes, it was truly difficult for him to maintain his calmness.
At the side, Feng Lin laughed when he saw this. He didn't feel too surprised at Kennard's reaction.
A hundred gene sequences wasted too much genetic potential. Didn't this Kennard simply wish to obtain new mythological knowledge?

After drinking a draught of water, he obtained divine-level wisdom. He invented the ancient Nordic text. The fairy of fate then used these newly created characters to record destiny on his shield, and the runic characters became the source of all magic…"

Kennard only wanted to obtain more genetic sequences from Feng Lin, yet he didn't expect Feng Lin to smack his face with a whole trove of mythological knowledge. This was truly a troublesome blessing.
He ignored the fact that Feng Lin stood before him and started to read through the information.
The names of legendary characters in mythology appeared before his life.
These gods' names were previously scattered, recorded in fragmented mythological information. But now, they clearly appeared before him and formed a complete system.
Genetic Grandmasters were a group of people with the deepest mythological knowledge in the world. Given Kennard's judgment, he could tell that the information Feng Lin had given him was the real deal and indeed belonged to a complete system.
Every god in the Norse Mythological System was reasonably orderly. Right now, it was like the secrets of Norse Mythology were fully displayed before his eyes. He was unable to contain his joy.

"What? That's all?" All of a sudden, Kennard roared in anger. It felt like the treasure that was about to be in his hands was suddenly seized away. Kennard's eyes protruded and were bloodshot. An inhumanly violent aura radiated from him as he stared fixedly at Feng Lin.
At this moment, Feng Lin felt as though he was being glared at by an incomparably terrifying monster. Goosebumps involuntarily rose on his skin.
(Something is wrong with this man.)
Kennard's eyes drooped and his expression turned incomparably sinister.
Right now, it was like he had lost control. He resembled a devil that had torn off his mask. Kennard no longer seemed like that erudite scholar. Instead, his aura was dark, sinister, and terrifying.
As a genetic grandmaster that experimented on his own kind, could Kennard be simply just a researcher?
Could he possibly have added some inhuman modifications to his own body?

Feng Lin faintly discovered that he had underestimated Kennard. His heart was filled with chills.
"Where's the rest of the knowledge? Why is there only a single page?" At this moment, Kennard's body size changed. His eyes were bloodshot and his veins throbbed on his face.
It was like the moment Feng Lin failed to give a reasonable explanation, he would lunge over.
Feng Lin's heart thumped, yet his expression remained calm. "How vast is the entire Norse Mythological System? What I know is only the tip of the iceberg. How can I possibly give you the complete information? No matter how valuable your research is, can it be compared to the knowledge of a complete mythological system? Even if the information I have is incomplete, I still need to see if your research is worthy enough to be exchanged for what I have!"
Who didn't know about how valuable mythological knowledge was?
Without paying something, how could Kennard expect to get something else in return?

Feng Lin's tone was calm as he smiled quietly.
No matter how valuable the research information of this lab was, it was impossible for Feng Lin to hand over the complete knowledge of the entire Norse Mythological System.

You must know that in the ancient myths, there were not only legendary characters, but also legendary monsters as well! How can it be that only humans could awaken the powers of mythological genes? From my research, I discovered that animals also have mythological genes, but because they lacked the intelligence and wisdom of humans, they had no way to awaken their genes naturally. However, if we use external force to stimulate them, we would be able to cause the mythological genes in animals to awaken and retrace the genetic path, allowing animals to gain the powers of mythological and legendary monsters! I named this as mythological ancestor recall engineering…"
When he spoke until here, Kennard began to laugh complacently.
Feng Lin's expression didn't change. He glanced at the creatures in the red fluid. He could see three-tail fox, devil ape, a jiao snake...There were indeed traces of mythological creatures in these animals.

All of a sudden, a voice filled with fanaticism rang out from the side.
"This is my origin laboratory's highest achievement, the greatest masterpiece!"

James didn't know why he was thinking of that at this moment, maybe because of the smell of blood surrounding him once again? It had been over 90 years since his death back on what he now knew as Midgard*. Over those 90 years he did nothing but train, drink mead, and bed women. He was even able to hold his own against some of those that had been here for a few thousand years. As of this moment, he was realizing how pointless all of that training was. So many thousands of years wasted training to stop a prophecy that was happening right before his eyes. It didn't matter to James though, he was simply here for the fight. None of them were prepared for Ragnarok*.
The Sun and Moon had disappeared, torn from the sky by the wolves Skoll and Hati*. The oceans had risen and there were few places to stand on solid ground. The once towering buildings of civilization were submerged. Mass amounts of rubble were floating in the blood red sea. Lightning was striking distant areas in the ocean.
The Gods had brought down the full forces of Asgard*. This army bordered on millions, but was nothing in contrast to the size and power of the enemy. They were facing the monstrous Fenrir* and the World Snake Jormungandr*, along with many other entities who had sided against Asgard.
James was excitedly destroying the creatures of fire that came from the world of Muspelheim*. The beings were twice his size and scorching heat radiated from their bodies. He was burnt and bloody but had a huge smile while dancing with his sword in hand. One beast lost a leg while he jumped and took the head of another. This is what he was born for. After clearing out the surrounding enemy, he returned to assist his comrades.
James was miles away from Odin*, attacking the beast Fenrir from his side, watching as his fellow Einherjar* were swallowed by the gaping hole that was Fenrir's maw. The Wolf soon overtook Odin as well, swallowing him whole. Just before he had disappeared forever James felt as if, for a fleeting moment, the All Father had glanced in his direction with a knowing smile.
After watching the Supreme God fall, James was filled with a surge of energy he had never felt before. He swung up with his sword leaving an enormous gash on the side of the miles high creature Fenrir. While the beast was distracted by the sudden pain, Vidar* rushed up and grabbed Fenrir's maw, holding it apart as the creature tried to crush down. James managed to leave another deep gash on Fenrir's side which eased up the pressure on Vidar. The Giant God then slammed his foot down into the Wolf's lower jaw and ripped the creature apart. Blood rained from the skies as the Monster finally fell. 
Things proceeded just as the Norns* had foretold. Vidar had managed to defeat Fenrir. James watched on as Heimdall* and Loki* fell, many wounds on each of their bodies and their sword's piercing the other's chest. Both bodies were eaten away by the poison of Jormungandr. 
The World Snake was in a heavy battle with another of Odin's Sons. The Mighty Thor* was holding back the creature who could easily wrap the world. James didn't understand what he was witnessing or why he was there. According to the prophecy, all of the Einherjar should have been swallowed by the wolf Fenrir. He could see that himself and five others still remained, though split apart by great distances. 
The battle raged and proceeded closer to where James was standing. The acid from the beasts breath was slowly deteriorating his skin. The previous burns becoming larger. James didn't care. He was entranced by the amazing display happening before him. The power and skill that the God was showing heated his blood until he was burning from the inside as well. His eyes glowed as the battle finished right in front of him.
Thor landed the final blow on the World Snake. The God was torn to shreds, bone could be seen in multiple locations across his body. He turned slowly, then staggered nine paces towards where James was standing, falling before him. As the God was falling, he reached out his right hand which brushed across James' left eye, leaving a streak of blood. Moments after, James was eaten away by the acid left in the air. Again, all he could smell was the strong stench of blood.
Had James been able to see what happened shortly after he disintegrated, he would have witnessed his blood pouring into the air and forming an orb the size of a fist. The orb was the color of blood, and had a dull red shine to it. After a moment, that orb dispersed into particles of blood red light. The world erupted in flames as Surtr* ignited the World Tree Yggdrasil*. The ashes released covered the universe in darkness.

Many thousands of years later, after all life was gone, the ashes that were once floating around in the void came together and formed a large seed at the base of where the World Tree had once stood tall. Within the seed, a strange blood red orb could be seen, though it looked miniscule compared to the size of this seed.

*Heimdall: God of the Watch. He could see all and guarded the bridge between Worlds (Bifrost).
*Loki: God of mischief and one of the main entities that brought about Ragnarok.

*Muspelheim: Another of the 9 Realms, forged in fire and home to the evil being Surtr (Lord of the fire Giants)
*Yggdrasil: The World Tree. The massive tree that houses the 9 Realms, along with being the bridge that connects them.

I understand that a lot of readers may not be familiar with Norse Pagan Mythology, so the Main Character will be the same, being introduced and learning the terminology at a slow pace throughout the novel.

It was very convenient that Yiksukesh was able to turn into a humanoid form. I was already assuming that I would end up having to take care of a one hundred meters long colossal undead snake. Still, I will have to now take care of a small, spoiled snake girl, and she isn't the cute type of spoiled snake girl that is my daughter Amiphossia… Jormungandr must be laughing at me right now.
Yiksukesh, on her petite and adorable humanoid form, glared at me with an indifferent look, but I noticed that in her lack of emotions, she seemed to be expecting something from me.
"I'm hungry"
"You already just ate ten Lesser Fire Dragons!"
"Yes, but it takes a lot of energy to reduce me into this form, all of the energy I consumed was used into this, so now I'm hungry… I want to eat"
I opened my Item Box and grabbed some cupcakes, sandwiches, and fruits, and gave them to Yiksu.
"What is this strange food? I want meat! Give me meat, hiisss!"
"Just eat what I gave you!"
"You don't get to order me around, rat! I…"
Yiksu had already begun to eat the cupcakes, the sweet and spongy texture filled her small mouth, her pale white cheeks gained a rosy color as her eyebrows raised in surprise.
"This is good"
Rimuru and Zehe approached Yiksu as they inspected her cute and adorable petite body, which was still nude.
"Guuu! Isn't she so adorable?! She reminds me of Ailine, but fleshy"
"I-Indeed, there is some cuteness in her. H-honey, can I adopt her?"
"Huh? W-What are you talking about?! She is not a kid! Although she looks like a little girl, she is a giant snake, a descendant of a demi-god! Don't treat her like a kid!"
"Lowly rat, how dare you to treat me like a child? But if you have more of this sweet spongy cake, I may forgive the pettings that you are currently doing over my head, and perhaps, future ones as well" Said Yiksu, with an intimidating yet adorable little girl voice, Rimuru, and Zehe's hearts were already won by her, as both of them squeezed her body, Rimuru took several cupcakes from the Item Box and gifted them to Yiksu, who happily ate them with her usual indifferent face.
How could Rimuru and Zehe be enchanted by her appearance so fast? What about our children? Did Zehe want a girl this whole time…? Sigh… Hopefully, our next child is a girl then.
Well, Yiksu may be very adorable, but my children are all cuter and more adorable!
"So, can I adopt her?" (Zehe)
"No! And why do you want to adopt her?! Also, why do you want to adopt her?"
"I don't know, she is just too cute~ Always seeing the little Ailine and Vudia playing around, made me want to raise a little princess as well…"
"Z-Zehe you already got Ryo!"
"But he grew so fast! He doesn't even need her mother anymore!"
"Zehe, you are already pregnant again… What if that's a girl?"
"Yeah but it will take some time to be born, it hasn't even grown as much inside of my belly! Little Yiksukesh is the perfect replacement!"
"Lowly rat, who are you calling a replacement? But I don't mind to be taken care of by you as my servants, bring me more food" (Yiksukesh)
"Right away! Aaah, you are so cute~! Right, honey?" (Zehe)
Is this fine? Is this the right thing to do? Well, I think I'm overthinking things, Zehe hasn't caused any harm with this, I suppose it's natural for a mother whose son has grown up so fast to desire another child to take care of, her motherly time was just too short. I remember my mother on Earth always talking and babbling about wanting another kid, and that I grew too fast…
"Okay, it's fine… B-But, do not adopt her! If you want to take care of her and feed her, it's fine… And also, give her some clothes! Here"
I gave Yiksukesh a set of kimonos that was dropped from a monster in the graveyard floors.
"Is this food?"
"No, its clothes! Put them on!"
"Hmm, you are so loud…"
"Honey, why are you so rude with our daughter!?"
"Guuu…?" (Doesn't get what's going on at all)
"It's not our daughter, Zehe! Uegh… Just put her kimono…"
"Alright, but apologize to little Yiksu! Look, she is all sad now"
Yiksu glared at the floor with a seemingly depressed expression.
"Is this for real? Wasn't she an intimidating and insane giant snake some minutes ago?"
"You're so loud… Shut up"
"Honey!"
"…"
As all of this happened, Rimuru seemed to be completely lost in the conversation long ago.

After I realized that I was causing a discussion for something so stupid, I apologized to Zehe and let her do as she pleased. Her adopting Yiksu was nothing bad at all, and I was just overreacting after realizing that I will have to take care of a spoiled little girl that it's not my daughter.
Yiksu was then welcomed with open arms by my family, most of the girls found her appearance incredibly cute and adorable as well… Does she have a charming skill? It would explain a lot.
It was very late for most of my family, so we moved through the teleportation traps inside of every safe zone and we reached Nefertiti's city in no time. Nefertiti was resting on her golden temple and she welcomed us happily while moving her dog tail, she hugged me tightly as well, and licked my face like a dog as well…
Yiksukesh ended up sleeping with my children in a different room, they treated her as if she were already a new little sister… Yiksu seemed flustered, but not angered for some reason, I could even notice a slight smile on her expressionless face.
Before sleeping, I contacted the Rin Sisters about the completion of the conquest and everything else, they were rather happy and wanted to celebrate tomorrow, but I told them that I would take some days down here exploring the Lower Realm, they comprehended what it meant and decided to prepare the celebration for the next days.
In the middle of the night, after having fun nigh with my wives, I couldn't get myself to sleep, as my soul was just filled with energy, and it didn't even need to rest anymore. Due to this, I decided to visit my Kingdom sneakily. Using the teleportation traps, I reached the first floor and flew to my castle, there I found Nephiana sleeping on my bed accompanied by Smilkas, Ocypete, and Nereid. Her father was also in an adjacent room, so the old mand has been properly taking care of her necessities. 
The eggs were also in the bed… and all of them were incredibly big, they have tripled their sizes since the last time I saw them, each one was of around fifty centimeters. And each one shined in a different light. I touched their eggshells with my hands, feeling the warmness inside of them.
Suddenly, small hands moved inside as they touched the area were my hands were… Aww, they recognize me?
Aah, this is too precious… Should I stay the night? But I told the Rin Sisters that I would stay down there a little bit longer!
Ugh…
I decided to stay the night here and then quickly rush back down tomorrow in the morning. Embraced by the warmness of my children's eggshells, I rested and slowly fell asleep.

[Day 177]
I woke up very early in the morning and saw Nephiana at my side. She had a very happy expression and her emerald eyes shined brightly as she saw my own eyes open.
After hugging and kissing each other, we had a small breakfast, while Smilkas and Ocypete were still sleeping… How heavy is their sleep? Also, why are these sleeping in my bed?! Well, I summoned them, and they are Nephiana's friends, so I suppose it's fine. They are also beautiful, and Smilkas is sleeping completely nude for some reason.
Anyways, after leaving some presents with Nephiana in the form of monster meat and equipment dropped in the dungeon, I swiftly went back to the dungeon and used a teleportation trap to go back to Nefertiti's city.
Ah right, last night, Jormungandr contacted me through my dreams. Just like that time, he talked all high and mighty with me, but after I told her that Yiksukesh was rescued from her imprisonment in the dungeon, he lost his cool and became a doting grandfather, almost tearing up in happiness.
Afterward, he ordered me to take good care of his beloved granddaughter, and explained to me some of her unique abilities… And I was right, Yiksukesh does indeed have a hidden Charm Skill that I wasn't able to see in her Appraised status. She only gains it after going back to her human form. She also has strong Poison Magic, Petrifying Gazes, Demon Eyes, Superhuman Strength, and all of that.
An interesting thing to note about Jormungandr descendants is that all of them have a severe Thunder Weakness, which probably is related to the snake battle against Thor in Norse Mythology… But this is obviously not Earth, so its strange how various gods have the names of the gods on Earth's mythology and religions, what connection do they have to them? They even share some of their weaknesses and such…
Well, Genesis is just "another world", probably in a completely different dimension or universe, so everything could be possible, things in Earth could be here but completely changed, and Gods names seem to be prevalently related to Earth's ones.
Even some Realms are the same as those in Norse Mythology or Greek Mythology, like a mix and match of everything… I wonder if Alfheimr is filled the fairies and light elves as well? It would be interesting to meet my species relatives. Oh, and the Fairy King and all of that… Damn, now I'm excited about meeting the realms that only the humans on Earth could only dream or imagine.

This morning Yiksu was being spoiled by Zehe once again. I was expecting Ryo to be jealous or something, but he was rather happy for her mother to have found out a little girl to adopt, he was even treating Yiksukesh as his little sister already.
My son, what are you doing…?
Sigh… Anyways, Ailine and Vudia also liked Yiksu and liked to play around with her tail and long dark green hair. Although Yiksu talked very rudely with her expressionless face, she never did anything to harm my family and was leaving the girls to create all sorts of hairstyles with her hair, they even filled her tail with ribbons.
"How unsightly, I don't like pink color… Give me more cupcakes as well. I demand cupcakes"
"Alriiight~ Here!" (Zehe)
"Well done…"
"Hey Yiksu, do you like gold?" (Vudia)
"I don't"
"How about blue?" (Ailine)
"Blue is… fine"
"Blue it is, Vudia, let's make ore ribbons!" (Ailine)
"Aight!" (Vudia)
They were having fun, so I let them be for now…
Oh, Athos had already respawned. Should we kill him one more time? My family can't handle him… Oh right, but I am the Dungeon Master now! I can just make him stay still without doing anything and die!
After having breakfast, I left Nefertiti on her city, for now, telling her that we would move to the surface in the next days, for now, she said that she would rest and sew more clothes for the baby.
In a flash, we moved to the room where Athos spawned by using the natural teleportation of my skill [Dungeon Maintenance]. Athos seemed to be sleeping and suddenly woke up and jumped to the ceiling in fear after seeing me.
"Gyaaah! The demon! The demon! You already killed me once! Are you killing me again!? Let me alone! Please, I don't want to be eaten alive!"
A one hundred meters dragon was trembling in fear over my humble presence.
"Hello Athos, I have become the Dungeon Master in here, so obey me"
Suddenly, a powerful force pulled Athos to the ground.
Boom!
"Geeh…! W-What?! I can't believe that an Evil God became the Dungeon Master!"
"Evil god?"
"Yeah, you are an Evil God… Right?"
"No, I'm not… Now, please stay still, my family wants to gain some levels, and your EXP is very juicy" 
"I can't move! It's true! You are the Dungeon Master! You bastard! How can you treat me like an EXP bag?! I am the great Dragon Ath- GYAAAAHH! My tail!"
"Stay still, I said…"
Using my authority as the Dungeon Master, I kept Athos completely still while sealing off all of his skills, he was then beaten to death by my family. His body was very big and sturdy, so it took an hour or so.
Afterward, we decided to go in a Boss rush and we killed each previous Boss that had already spawned, netting an amazing quantity of EXP! Today's lunch was Dungeon Bosses!

Now that Athos's main body wasn't destroyed, we were able to enjoy his entire body's flesh, the heart, internal organs, back, legs, and arms. Everything on this Dragon was delicious…
As I ate lunch, I wondered how was it possible for him to spawn again if I didn't have any Divine Energy to give to the dungeon? Shouldn't this dungeon stop function if I weren't a god?
I tried to ask this to the System, but I only got very vague responses. The most I could take from them was that somehow the dungeon was dragging Divine Energy from the environment itself.
No god is capable to drag energy from the environment, but I can because I've eaten Spirits and assimilated their powers. Because the Dungeon as connected to my Soul, and my Soul was connected to my Aura, and my Aura had the properties of an ethereal spirit, I was able to somehow make my Dungeon draw unlimited energy from the environment instead.
However, just giving Divine Energy in person is always a faster way to get some things done, as drawing energy from the environment was incredibly slow, but enough to keep all basic functions. After the feast of dungeon bosses, I went to the Yokai Village and dragged the Yokai King, Ashura, with me.
"Alright kid, time to take a visit to your nation…"
It was also time to meet Oga's family and also bring them with me to my Kingdom. Everything was going just as I wanted… But I couldn't help but have a strange feeling as if something ominous was lurking behind me.
Ding!
[A God has fallen!]
"Huh?"
