It has derived its imagery from comic books made by Marvel and Detective Comics companies.

Ned sighed deeply as he looked up at the ceiling, a weary look on his face.
'I hope Torrhen is okay.'
This past week had not been good for him. One one hand, he had to deal with an entire continent of lords who all wanted to waltz into his library and see what had happened, giving no small amount of stress and frustration. 
On the other hand, he had a deeply worried wife that took this all personally and through some sort of seemingly profound logic believed this was all her fault and that it was the Seven above who had brought this down upon her as punishment for her wrongdoings. Something about 'not loving a motherless child' tormented her day and night, which was bad for Ned as he had to tend to her during the day and calm her down in the night. Almost every night over the past week had gone by with barely any shut-eye. Instead, he spent his nights coaxing his wife to sleep as tears stained his tunic and the sheets beneath them. It didn't help that his children, all except Rickon, were also very deeply worried about him. Robb had got Rickon to believe that Torrhen had just gone a hunting trip alone to stop the boy from crying, and he hasn't worried since.
Ned felt the need to give closure to Cat and tell her the truth about Jon and who his parents were. He knew that she felt her disregard and hate for Jon lead her to believe this was all her fault. After all, there wasn't anyone else in the castle that could really be described as motherless. But the dying face of his sister Lyanna prevented him from doing so, lest he broke the promise he made to her no her deathbed.
Caught between his honour and his guilt towards his wife,he was stuck between a rock and a hard place.
What was worse was that a faint throbbing noise could be heard from the library when all the noise in the castle died down. This wasn't heard in the day, but past the hour of the wolf ("the blackest part of night", midnight), this was loud and clear, frightening the animals and the people alike. Every morning, he saw his people getting more and more tired as they lost many hours of sleep from fear and superstition. 
Some had begun to say that Winterfell was cursed, but he shrugged that off. It wasn't the first time people suspected Winterfell was haunted and cursed, and it most certainly wouldn't be the last. But something about this incident, probably his instincts, told him that everything would change if and when Torrhen returned.

"Power is an illusion that resides where men believe it resides. No more and no less. A shadow on the wall, a fleeting idea of human fantasy. Yet it is as essential to all living beings as sustenance and air to breath."
After finishing his statement, Torrhen blacked out and woke up with a bad headache. It felt like he had a soldering iron pierced into his skull with how much pain he had.
He slowly got up from the floor, the taste and smell of dust filling his senses. Inspecting his surroundings, he saw a dark room lit with an eerie green light. He could see moss covering the dark stone walls around him. 
Before him was a double door. It was quite grand, standing at roughly 15 feet in height from what he could gather. The whole thing was made of a shiny black wood with a shining green metal at its rims. Around the height of his stomach were two golden doorknobs shining with gold. Carved in the middle of the double door was a sort of taiji symbol with two wolves, coloured black and white. The black wolf seemed to swallow the black sun and the white wolf swallowed the black moon, both wolves resembling those of the Stark sigil. Surrounding it was a thick white border with black runes written across it

"Where am I?" Torrhen asked himself. "What am I forgetting here?"
He took a closer look at the door before him, marvelling at the workmanship that went into so beautifully depicting the image before him. He then looked to the runes surrounding it, studying what it could be.
"Skoll is the name of the wolf who chases the bright priest into the desolate forest, and the other is Hati, Fenrir's son, who chases the bright bride of the sky...Wait, I understand this!?"
This realisation came as a shock to him. It was a great surprise to find out that he understood the runes on the door. He had never even learnt a single rune, after all.
He had the feeling that something happened between his reply to the wolf and his waking up here, but he had no clue what it was. There was a gap in his memory that nothing around him could give hints for. But something significant must have happened for him to suddenly understand runes. 
Thinking further, he also realised that what he just read had a very significant importance.
"Fenrir? Hati? Skoll? What am I dealing with here? Norse mythology!? What does a being like Fenrir and Norse mythology in general even have to do with House Stark in the first place!? Old man George, I really want to kill you right now!"
He knew what the three of them were from his old life, when his name was still John Scott and studied Norse Mythology in class. No one wanted to, but with how Norse mythology was misrepresented in movies and other forms of entertainment, their history teacher took it upon himself to teach them about it properly, along with the Olympians, the Hindu gods, the Egyptian gods, Buddha and the Shinto pantheon. 
According to his knowledge, Fenrir was supposed to be the wolf son of Loki, the God of lies, deception and fire, and brother of Jormungandr, the World Serpent, and Hel, goddess of the underworld. Due to being too powerful, the Aesir tried to chain him twice and failed. On the third go, Fenrir grew suspicious of their intentions even though the gods said that they were playing a game and testing his strength. He demanded one of the gods to put the hand in his maw as a show of faith. With no other gods daring to do so, Tyr, the God of War, placed his hand into Fenrir's maw. When the chains bound Fenrir, he bit off the hand of Tyr as was expected. The chain was tied to a boulder with a sword placed in his maw to keep his mouth open. The river 'Expectation' flowed from his mouth as he awaited Ragnarok, when he'd break free of his fetters and run throughout the world, with his lower jaw on the ground and his upper jaw above the sky, destroying everything and even going so far as to kill Odin, the King of Asgard and ruler of the Aesir tribe of gods.
Skoll (One Who Mocks) and Hati (One Who Hates) are supposedly supposed to chase the Moon and Sun respectively and devour the two on Ragnarok, but it was uncertain whether or not the two of them were merely other names for Fenrir, who was also described in myths to devour the Sun on Ragnarok.

After getting the true essence of mana from the creepy Vanir gods, I had completed one more step towards getting my weapon, and now… there was nothing left but to get the last two fucking ingredients, and well, I suppose I was about to see how fucked I was soon enough, "Do you know where to find Fenrir?" I asked Thor, if my Norse lore knowledge was anything to go by, the big wolf was the easiest for me right now, being bound to a cave, unable to move until the darkest day arrived, made it easier for me to get what I needed. One of his fangs
















"I do," Thor nodded grimly, "Niflheim,"

















Niflheim or the mist world, was known as the darkest and coldest region of all the realms according to Norse mythology, and apparently it was the world selected to be the prison for Fenrir, "Alright, let's go," I sighed. 

















I was not going to lie, or fool myself, I was deep down scared of the two following tasks I had to complete to get my weapon, facing the two greatest monsters in Norse mythology even if I was playing my moves smartly, was terrifying.
















"How do you want to do this?" Thor inquired, breaking me out of my long reviere.
















"Well, no idea except I don't want to fight them," I chuckled.
















"Fair enough," Thor nodded, with that I teleported us back to Asgard, where we would use the Bifrost to go to Niflheim.

With the help of Heimdall, we arrived to Niflheim with no complications, and boy was this fucking realm cold, holy shit, even as a God here I was shivering in cold, "Holy… c-c-c-rap," I muttered.
















"I-I k-new… there… was a reason I hated this realm," Thor cursed.
















"So… wh-where the f-uck.. is that wolf," I asked Thor.


















"Just… f-follow the r-r-river!" Thor pointed to the river nearby where we were, "Th-that's his s-saliva,"


















"D-d-disgusting," But mythologically accurate, in Norse lore it was known as the river of expectation, but still… ew.


















I guess it's time to follow the spit version of the Niagara Falls, so that I can give the big demonic doggo the dental care he so desperately needs. With nothing else to do but follow the disgusting trail back to Fenrir, we started walking and as we followed the Drool River up, deeper into fucking mist/ice tundra realm, I started to feel more and more as the atmosphere started to thicken, it didn't take me long to figure out it what it was. 



















Fenrir, I was feeling his overwhelming presence, and it kinda reminded me of Sun Wukong, but it was more feral, and vastly more suffocating, "I think we are close to the beast," I chuckled.



















"Yep," Thor nodded, "I can feel the big asshole nearby," he stated, holding his hammer tight, "We should find him soon enough," he pointed back to the Drool River


















"Ew," I chuckled.


















"Ew indeed," Thor chuckled.
















We continued following the River, to where it naturally began, finding ourselves in the entrance of a very damp cave, from the inside a powerful growl followed by a howl could be heard, shaking the very foundation of the cave from within.


















"Here it is," Thor stated.


















"Here goes nothing," I breathed out, entering the cave, with each step weighing me down, as if I was getting an extra ton to carry with every inch I advanced. The cave was like nothing I have ever seen before, it literally had an entire ecosystem inside, which mountains and forests inside.


















I continued on my path until I eventually stopped walking, feeling as if the air itself had stiffened, finding myself face to face with the Father of Wolves, Fenrir, "Greek…." The Godly Demonic wolf struggled to say, as he eyed me with curiosity, moving as much as the bindings around him allowed him to move.





































I have seen big creatures, and then there was Fenrir, he was easily the biggest being I had ever seen face to face, towering over all creatures, even above the Titans themselves, no wonder he was destined to kill Odin, the bastard was massive, and his power was massive as well… but this brought some terrifying points that I would have to investigate later, like the fact in the Riordan books… Fenrir was small, and it was nothing like the beast I was seeing right now.

















"Get your fang," Thor whispered.

















"I might be bound… but I still can kill you… boy," Fenrir growled, the sword keeping his mouth open moving a bit.
















"I would appreciate if you didn't," I replied, wondering how in the fuck was I supposed to take one of his fangs out, when a single fang was like ten feet tall.
















"We don't need your approval, beast," Thor hissed in anger, lighting coming out his body, breaking the ground where he was standing. And I think this is the first time I have seen Thor angry.
















"Still mad at me?" Fenrir growled, "How is your brother… Tyr was it? Is he still missing his arm?" And then I realized, this motherfucker was trying to get Thor angry, on purpose… but why?




















"I will slay you where you stand!" Thor growled, jumping at the beast only to be stopped by a barrier I created the moment I realized Fenrir was trying to rile Thor up.





















"Drop the barrier!" Thor demanded, glaring at me.















"He is trying to manipulate you," I pointed out, "I don't know much of the seal keeping him in place but I am sure attacking him is something is not something we want to do if he wants that," I glared at the wolf, "I bet it would weaken the seal somehow,"

















"I will eat you alive," Fenrir growled, thrashing around trying to reach me in anger, showing I had struck gold with my point.


















"I see," Thor smirked, looking at the beast with a cocky smile, "Sorry, but I will not be walking you out today,"
















I snorted at his doggo joke, "So any ideas how to get one of his fangs out?" I inquired, I was at lost here.

















"Cavities?" Thor shrugged.
















"A good start but no," I chuckled.

One moment I was dying on a really uncomfortable hospital bed and the next... well, I’m alive... though this time, I'm not even human anymore... but who cares.

As a genetic grandmaster, what had he never seen before? But right now upon seeing the information of a complete mythological system appearing before his eyes, it was truly difficult for him to maintain his calmness.
At the side, Feng Lin laughed when he saw this. He didn't feel too surprised at Kennard's reaction.
A hundred gene sequences wasted too much genetic potential. Didn't this Kennard simply wish to obtain new mythological knowledge?

Kennard only wanted to obtain more genetic sequences from Feng Lin, yet he didn't expect Feng Lin to smack his face with a whole trove of mythological knowledge. This was truly a troublesome blessing.
He ignored the fact that Feng Lin stood before him and started to read through the information.
The names of legendary characters in mythology appeared before his life.
These gods' names were previously scattered, recorded in fragmented mythological information. But now, they clearly appeared before him and formed a complete system.
Genetic Grandmasters were a group of people with the deepest mythological knowledge in the world. Given Kennard's judgment, he could tell that the information Feng Lin had given him was the real deal and indeed belonged to a complete system.

At this moment, Feng Lin felt as though he was being glared at by an incomparably terrifying monster. Goosebumps involuntarily rose on his skin.

Kennard's eyes drooped and his expression turned incomparably sinister.
Right now, it was like he had lost control. He resembled a devil that had torn off his mask. Kennard no longer seemed like that erudite scholar. Instead, his aura was dark, sinister, and terrifying.
As a genetic grandmaster that experimented on his own kind, could Kennard be simply just a researcher?
Could he possibly have added some inhuman modifications to his own body?

Feng Lin faintly discovered that he had underestimated Kennard. His heart was filled with chills.
"Where's the rest of the knowledge? Why is there only a single page?" At this moment, Kennard's body size changed. His eyes were bloodshot and his veins throbbed on his face.
It was like the moment Feng Lin failed to give a reasonable explanation, he would lunge over.
Feng Lin's heart thumped, yet his expression remained calm. "How vast is the entire Norse Mythological System? What I know is only the tip of the iceberg. How can I possibly give you the complete information? No matter how valuable your research is, can it be compared to the knowledge of a complete mythological system? Even if the information I have is incomplete, I still need to see if your research is worthy enough to be exchanged for what I have!"
Who didn't know about how valuable mythological knowledge was?
Without paying something, how could Kennard expect to get something else in return?
Why would there be something so cheap in the world?
