THE MOMENT HE opened his eyes, he knew he was dead.
Amidst the superficially brewed storm and sinister-looking place, he wondered if this was hell and whether coming here was the retribution he had brought upon himself after all the evil deeds he had done in his entire life; taking advantage of others, scheming on several people, betraying other people for the sake of achieving his goals, or even sacrificing his own relatives' lives to shelter away certain truths that might crush his saint-like image.
Unable to move, he lay wrapped in a thin, breathable blanket, his heart pounding in his chest. Every nerve in his body felt alive yet restrained, as if he were trapped in a cocoon of helplessness. The voices around him, shouting battle cries and curses, only added to his overwhelming sense of dread.
"Come now, my comrades! Let us put an end to evil and bring peace to our realm!" a shout reverberated, shocking Yang Lujia awake from his peaceful thoughts. "Die, you evil motherfuckers!"
"Fuck you, retards! You all sound like you're bombing shits!" Another shout from another side was heard. "Come on, now! Let us prove to them that there can only be peace in the world if we kill all of these fake righteous whatever suckers who killed our kind!"
ROAR!
Deafening roars intruded into Yang Lujia's ears, making all his hair stand on end. Even the rustling of the wind didn't fail to terrify him—the cold atmosphere and the deathly feeling of the dark clouds looming above him.
WHISH!
Thousands of fantastical creatures hovered in the air. Phoenixes with fiery plumage and majestic dragons glided through the skies, their roars echoing in a symphony of power and grandeur. What bewildered him most, however, was the sight of people astride these magnificent beings, like mythical dragon riders straight out of the movies he remembered from Earth. "Fuck!" he cursed in his mind as the ground trembled and his body, like a ball, even rolled without his permission. Although he was clothed with a slightly thick but light and breathable blanket, his heart couldn't stop pounding at all.
His instincts were screaming for survival.

He swept these thoughts aside, centering his mind on the need to calm down and assess his situation. The "system" had informed him he was in a place ominously named the Eucharistic War Battleground, plopped right into the heart of a cosmic conflict. The chilling roars that reverberated around him told tales of a clash between good and evil, each cry an echo of terror that could freeze blood. The creatures' roars were enough to strike terror into the bravest of hearts. And to top it all off, he was a baby—a living, breathing infant trapped in a helpless body, unable to move. The irony was as thick as the fog of war around him: an ancient soul in the fragile vessel of infancy, stranded in the midst of this monumental battle.
In conclusion, who or what could he only rely on?
