"I just need you to stay up a bit longer," Amri replied to Yue.

Noticing the green light in Yue's eyes, she turned around, feeling as Zai rose into the sky.

"Knowing her, she's going to buy us some time," Shenmi said. "Best figure out how to stop this army from making Markus stronger."

Amri turned to Makya. "Makya, right? Do you know anything about how the Master was coordinating all these Ascendants?"

Makya shook her head. "As far as I can tell, everyone was just doing their own thing. The ones he convinced from the Tournament were supposed to be elite fighters, but nothing's been done to preserve them outside of handing out some drugged elixirs."

"The Master doesn't need to preserve them, not if their deaths make him stronger," Amri explained. "We need to disable the army without killing them, if possible."

"I think I can help with that," a voice suddenly said from behind.
