Naruto: Legacy of Lava, Ice and Storm

It was nighttime in Konoha. The streets were bustling with people as they went about doing their businesses. Kids were playing or eating various sweets sold on the stalls. Women were gossiping with each other.

But the peace was disrupted by the appearance of a huge fox with nine tails on the outskirts of the village.

A four year old kid who was enjoying dangos was shocked to see this when a pair of shinobi came to him to get the kid to safety.

He compiled as he knew his grandpa has assigned them for his safety so he went with them. He asked them what was going on and where were his parents and grandpa. The only answer he received was that they were busy dealing with the situation.

Another pair of shinobi came running towards them from the direction where the beast appeared.

They were carrying the dead body of an old woman. The boy recognised her. He went towards the two shinobi while he looked at the face of the old woman.

It was the body of his grandma, Biwako Sarutobi. The wife of the retired third Hokage of the leaf.

Tears started coming out of the boy's eyes. He instantly knew that his grandma was what grandpa called dead. He was told by his grandpa that the dead people leave the world and we can never meet them again. But their will of fire will live through us. He did not understand anything about it. The only thing he understood was his grandma would never play with him again.

'Is she dead? How could this be? She was just supposed to assist the fourth hokage's wife during the child birth. Then why is she not moving. Why is blood coming out of her? Wake up grandma please. Wake up.' The boy thought as the surrounding temperature increased.

The boy was angry now seeing his grandma not listening to him. She always listens to him and plays with him. Even if his parents do not fulfill his demands, his grandma always does.

The boy did not believe that dead people don't wake up.

What he did not know was that the only person who could currently wake up the dead people in this world was a certain snake who happpened to be present on the scene.

'Is not that Sensei's wife? That must be sensei's grandson. So she is dead huh. Maybe sensei would now understand my purpose towards immortality.' Orochimaru thought

He was watching the boy with pity. Orochimaru once again grew to disdain the fragility of human life and how it affected those still living. His purpose to achieve immortality was reforged.

He suddenly turned his attention back to the boy as he suddenly felt something peculiar. The boy was still asking his grandmother to wake up.

The boy shouted "I SAID WAKE UP GRANDMAAA!"

A sudden burst of chakra erupted from the boy. The chakra was accompanied by lava and ice. Half the area around the boy melted from red hot lava while the other half was frozen solid by ice.

The shinobi who were protecting the boy managed to jump and body flickered out of the harm's way in time. If not for that, they would be either burned to a crisp or frozen like an ice cream.

The only thing that was safe from the lava and ice was Biwako Sarutobi's dead body.

"Interesting, Very interesting. The boy may have just awakened his chakra from the grief that he had felt. But along with his chakra, he has awakened two kekkei genkais. Two very contradictory ones too- Lava and ice. What a weird but an interesting combination. Not only that but the amount of chakra he has for his age is insane. Its even more than those prodigious Uzumaki's at the age of 10. Since he has awakened his chakra without any complications early on, it would increase by a lot as he ages." Orichimaru mumbled while twisting his tongue weirdly.

What orichimaru did not notice was a brief lightning flash in the clouds above the boy.

'Now, why would sensei's grandson awaken two kekkei genkai's which is not Sarutobi clan's bloodline limit. Did Sensei's son cheat on his wife with a yuki? No that can't be, there is no clan with both ice and lava as it's bloodline limits. That means it is a natural manifestation. Ice is a combination of water and wind while Lava is a combination of earth and fire. That means he has got affinity with four primary affinity chakra natures. Truly impressive. The kid really lucked out. Life is truly unfair for those without bloodlines.' Orichimaru continued his thinking without caring about the situation of the hidden leaf.

As Orichimaru continued looking at the boy, he suddenly had a glint in his eyes 'Should i consider him? No, Now is not the right time. But, he would be a good option.'

His thinking was stopped when he sensed the nine tails chakra disappear. But it was not only his chakra that disappeared.

'Looks like Minato has fallen in battle. It sounds impossible for him to be killed. He likely gave up his own life to protect the village or other Konoha shinobi. Maybe now sensei and the village would consider me as the next hokage.' Orochimaru thought

While Orochimaru was thinking about his future, the boy who was crying for his grandma suddenly felt a huge amount of pain in his head as he started seeing scenes or rather memories of his previous life.

He held his head in pain before fainting.

The shinobi who were supposed to protect him rushed towards him before taking him to the konoha hospital.
