Resumen

The MCU is already a perilous realm, fraught with danger at every turn. But for a crimelord like myself, it's a whole other level of risk, especially with heroes lurking around every corner. And if that weren't daunting enough, now I have to contend with the added uncertainty of encountering at least one completely random SCP every month. How many of these anomalies would it take to trigger an XK-class event? Well, here's hoping I get some favorable ones, allowing me not only to survive but also to flourish in this treacherous environment.

Restart, Spider-Man!

First-generation Spider-Man: "With great power comes great responsibility." Second-generation Spider-Man: "Heroes are always lonely." Third-generation Spider-Man: "My father is Iron Man!" Spider-Man from a certain universe: "This life is ruined again, restart! Restart!" Xia Luo crossed into the Marvel multiverse and luckily became the Spider-Man of this universe. But he also had a lot of misfortune. He didn’t have the super strength of the first-generation Spider-Man, who could stop a speeding train. He didn’t have the second-generation Spider-Man’s lightning-fast reflexes. And he didn’t have the third-generation Spider-Man’s high-tech nanotech suit. In every attribute, he was far inferior to the other Spider-Men from different universes, yet the villains in this world were absurdly strong. He couldn’t beat them, no way he could! Fortunately, as long as he acted recklessly and died, he could start a resurrection match in the Marvel universe. If he successfully won the resurrection match, he would be revived and receive various rewards. In one such resurrection match, as he looked at the blackened Superman with the same red and blue color scheme in front of him, Xia Luo fell into deep thought. “This peak match, I can’t win it, I really can’t!” "Restart! Restart! I need to restart this resurrection match!" --- Alternate titles for the book: "Go Reckless, Spider-Man!" "Out of Ten Restarts, I Mess Up Nine Times, and the Other One’s a Big Mess Too" "I, Spider-Man, Only Play Peak Matches!" This book was an incredibly frustrating read. First, let’s start with the awful grammar. It was riddled with run-on sentences, strange punctuation, and awkward phrasing that made it almost unreadable. It felt like I was reading something that skipped the editing process entirely. As for the main character, he was supposed to be mature and aloof, but instead, he came off as childish and whiny. Every time a serious situation arose, he would respond with petty complaints or irrational decisions, making it impossible to take him seriously. It was hard to believe this was the protagonist who was supposed to carry the story. His lack of emotional depth and constant immature reactions made him more irritating than engaging. On top of that, the book relied way too heavily on AI to drive the plot. Instead of letting the characters solve problems on their own, the author threw in AI as a solution to everything. It felt lazy and overdone, as if the writer had no idea how to naturally resolve conflicts. The excessive use of futuristic technology didn't add anything substantial to the story, and in fact, it made the world feel hollow. To make matters worse, the author went into agonizing detail in places where none was needed. There were entire chapters devoted to describing irrelevant things like the layout of a room or the specifications of a gadget. Yet, when it came to character development or crucial plot points, those were skimmed over. With terrible grammar, a main character who acts like a child when he's supposed to be mature, and an overreliance on AI, this book was a chore to get through. Definitely not worth the read.
