At the beginning of a long day, when the sun was already up in the sky basking the village of Foosha in warm light while a gentle breeze was refreshing the face of every villager, a certain scene was taking place not too far away from the village.

In a very small forest, a black-haired young boy was running through it in a hurry as he shouted.

"Luffy! where are you?! Grandpa is here! If he hears you yell that line, we're finished!"

The young boy finally stopped in front of a huge tree as his features were revealed. He was a rather good-looking black-haired boy of about ten years with the weird characteristic of having a tail in his lower back.

He could be seen shouting at the top of his lungs as he looked at the top of the tree.

"Oyyyy Luffy comes down, grandpa will come to take us today! if he sees you shout-" the boy was interrupted by another younger boy of about seven years old with a good-looking straw hat who was standing on a branch of the tree as he was taking a deep breath...

"I WILL BECOME THE PIRATE KING !!! " the straw hat boy shouted out loud seemingly for the entire world to hear this claim.

Nearly all the villagers turn toward the voice while saying nearly in desperation "Again..."

Obviously, it wasn't the first time that this straw hat boy was doing this sort of thing.

After yelling this, the boy laughs his heart out. "Nishishishi..." and really happy at that.

What was interesting was that when he shouted that, the world seemed to become brighter for a moment as if his happy mood was affecting the world directly and return to normal in the next moment.

Looking at Luffy, the face of the boy was twitching but smiling at the same time, he really didn't know if he should laugh or cry for this little brother of his.

"Haa..." he sighs and said, "Idiot don't come crying to me later..."

"Humm?" "Why are you saying that big brother?" the boy asked with an innocent and stupid wide smile on his face.

Hearing this the boy's expression on the ground quickly turns into one of terror for this brother of his as he said while stuttering a bit "Be- Because grandpa is...just behind you idiot!" he shouted the last part helplessly.

When Luffy hear this though, his eyes and his mouth opened so wide that you could put an apple in it easily, his face became pale like a white t-shirt.

He then turned his face slowly but surely, in fear, and saw the face of the person he want to see the least not from hate but from fear instead.

He then cried " Ahhhhh, grandpa!!?" as if he saw a ghost instead of a loving grandpa.

"Ahhh, HELP ME BROTHER!" he yelled out like a pig being slaughtered by a butcher.

'Idiot...' Edam thought desperately.

The straw hat boy tried to jump off the tree to run away but unfortunately for him... a hand grabs his head in mid-air while a shout resonates in the air. "Luuuufffyy, you're not happy to see me?"

"Ahhh, let me go, gramps!"

"You unfilial grandchild say hii to my loving fist!" and then he starts to beat the shit out of this unfilial grandchild of his.

The grandpa in question was a tall, tanned, broad-chested, muscular old man and has a beard and a scar over his left eye.

This grandpa indeed looked fierce at one glance...

* a few minutes later *

Luffy was lying on the ground twitching with three red bumps on his head and trembling like a leaf while Garp was still a little upset.

Calming down he then looked menacingly at his elder grandson and say "Oy, Edam you're not greeting your loving grandpa?"

"And didn't I told you to watch over your brother?" he said while frowning a bit.

Hearing him the boy named Edam was sweating like a fountain while his tail straightened like the most obedient soldier or like a frightened little cat and stutter " H...Hi grandpa how are you?" he said with an ugly and forced smile on his face.

"Well, concerning Luffy, he never listens to me and continues to shout "I will become the pirate king" here and there, so it's really not my fault," he said while trying to act like an innocent angel or an innocent monkey in his case.

"Haa..." Garp sighed and then suddenly kicked Luffy's buŧŧ while yelling "Get up Luufffyy !!!"

"Ahhhhh...!!!" shriek Luffy like a slaughtered monkey.

Having kicked Luffy's butt Garp then said

"Okay, both of you come we'll make a stop at Makino's bar and then I'll send you to a friend of mine."

He then started to walk away while pinching Luffy's ear and dragging him behind.

"I...it hurt, it hurt! let me go, gramps!"

Hearing him complaining, Garp whose fury has just diminished flared up again.

"What?! You dare to raise your voice against me!?"

And then he beat the shit out of him again.

*a few minutes later*

Three more bumps were added to the trembling human leaf.

Garp then put Luffy on his back and started to walk while saying. "Don't even think that I will let you become a pirate."

"Why can you beat me even though I'm a rubber-man, Grandpa?" Luffy asked in complete grievance as he rubbed his painful head.

To that the grandpa replied...

"Humph! nothing can stop a loving fist, NYAHAHAHAHA..."

Edam who was observing his grandpa teaching a lesson to his brother was having strange thoughts coursing through this little head of his.

'Why can grandpa punch and pinch Luffy while I can't ?'

'If it's a matter of love does that mean that I don't love my brother enough ?'

'I should ask gramps to teach me how to hit Luffy, so I can correct him if necessary.'
