The novel largely focuses on 7 different houses excluding the royal house. It is high fantasy which means different races live within the same empire. The MC is not reincarnated or anything of the sorts mainly because I want him to be like all the other noble kids of his age and not feel his out of place and does not relate to others and the world. The power system is unique while also not confusing and hard to understand.
The great house of Grey was unlike the other houses while most houses in the Empire focused on both politics and strength. They however focused only in strength. So it wasn't a surprise that house Grey was considered the least wealthy among the seven great houses.
They had command over the plains and mountains of the north that were so vast that it couldn't be compared to the other great houses but they lacked the resources needed to develop these lands.
Most nobles would have considered them as insignificant if not for the current head of house whose strength was second to none. While rumors in the realm was that the old man of house Grey was getting weaker by each year no one had the slightest courage to utter those words in front of everyone.
In a throne room that could only be compared to emperor's and old man sat on his throne looking down on the world itself.
His Butler opens the door and with him a beautiful young lady holding a crying child in her arms. The butler kneels and so does the young woman with him.
" I greet the great Duke Grey protector of the North.". Knowing that the Duke is not in a good mood the butler didn't wait for an answer before he continues.
"with me is lady Jasmine Royce and….." looking back at Jasmine to see if she named the baby yet.
"Sorry my Lord I haven't named him yet" Jasmine replies without hesitation or any fear dispute Lord Artos Grey chilling Aura.
...…
"Arthur!"
"…oh..Ar..Arthur Grey it is my Lord." Jesmine replied surprised that the Duke himself named her child.
"I have heard about the death of my son, it is unfortunate but nothing could be done about it." Duke stated without a hint of emotion behind it.
It was said that the Old Duke transcended emotions which explained how unmoving he was about almost all of his heirs dying one after the other.
